I know that feeling - my problem is that filming gear is so damned heavy. My
current camera rig weighs in at about 18 lbs, the tripod slightly less, and the
Peli roller case about 30 lbs !! At 62 I’m okay for a little while yet…

Stills camera wise, I don’t do much these days, but that will change once I
finish refitting my sailboat and am on the water - hopefully later this year. I
have my little Fuji X20 as a grab-and-go cam, and a bag with the MFT Olympus
Pen and 12/2, 15/4.5, and Pentaxes 50/1.4 and A*85/1.4. The little Fuji is my
only zoom. I’d like to get a used Oly OM-1D ii at some point and *maybe* a
longer zoom for some on the water shots as doubtless I’ll be seeing some pretty
interesting light ‘out there’. Weight-wise, my bag with the 2 cameras and 4
lenses plus batts weighs less than the filming camera :-D

If I go walking with just the Pen in hand it usually has the 12mm Samyang
aboard, maybe the Voigtlander 15mm if size is an issue. For concert photography
the 50mm and 85mm swop places depending on how far away from the stage I am.
Concerts picking up again here so I’ll be doing some more - will post the
results in due course.

Hope all well.

I never thought I’d say it, but at 74, I’m worn out. I don’t know how much
longer I can keep carrying big glass and a full frame camera on a walk through
the woods. Yes, my k-3 is lighter, but it’s still a lot of camera with a lens
that’s long enough to shoot wildlife.
