Linus's book, "Just for Fun", mentions that he received a Masters for
his work on Linux, and when Linux became very successful, Helsinki
gave him an honorary Doctorate.  In his case, Ph.D. means "Phull of
Dinero", since the stock options that RedHat gave him allowed him to buy
a really big house in Silicon Valley and a flashy BMW Z3.
