i used to. i tried mach 3, mach 4, fluke, but they are all slow. its the notorious 
microkernel performance hit. for
every message you get a context switch. there are optimizations specially on the fluke 
like migrating threads
different execution models but still it is slow. l4 is reported to be fast so is qnx 
but they are all dependent on
processor specific optimizations. i gave up on microkernels when i found out that 
linux on mach3 or 4 is sloooow.

exokernels are faster but there are only seven people in the world besides me who are 
working on the CONCEPT. so i
guess its just an academic and research kernel for now.
