Updated to 7.1 from 7.0 on Mac OS X (10.4.11) PPC a couple of days ago. Noticed that all my plugins were deleted. Is this expected behaviour? Or did something go wrong on my system? Fortunately I had a feeling that this might happen, so I was able to restore from a backup made just a couple of hours before.
I was thinking that this might be because the copy behavior on a mac is different from windows? If you copy a folder to a location that has a folder with the same name, then on macs the entire old folder with all its contents gets replaced, unlike windows where it is essentially a merge, and only contents that have exactly the same name get replaced.
