The current version of IRblaster (5.4) includes learning as part of the standard download. I'm using the MSR+ as I've got a G68. The remotes use the same device and function codes according to the Meridian web site, just the new remote has more buttons.
I use CD for on, and the relevant buttons for vol and off.
