I've got some difficulties with a Quickcam Pro 4000 with the ubuntu dapper 6.06 and pwc modules.
I've tried many versions of pwc (including the latest one) and have the following behaviour:
The webcam works great during about 1 minute and then the image freezes. Has someone already observed it ?
What is strange is that:
- this webcam works perfectly on a gentoo system on another computer (with different pwc versions)
- this webcam works perfectly on the same ubuntu dapper 6.06 on another computer.
- this webcam works perfectly on the same computer with windows XP.
This means that :
- the problem does not come from my computer.
- the problem does not come from the ubuntu system.
I can imagine that there is something wrong with the combination of ubuntu and my laptop.
Has some already got this behaviour ?
Could you provide me with a way to debug ? What can I do to better understand the problem ?
