If you have a printer driver installed with which you can print from
Windows, selecting the exact same printer name in QPC2 should give you
access to its printer spool, meaning that if the printer can
understand your control codes, it should work.

All in all I BTW think it's preferable to get through the official
printer spool (i.e. by selecting "printer" and the appropriate name)
and not through the LPT devices, even if the printer is connected via
a parallel cable.

Actually yes, I think if you print to a spool or via QPCPrint printing
will only start after the channel is closed (definitely true for
QPCPrint, 90% sure for spool. Not 100% because even though having
developed QPCPrint, I don't even have an own printer...).
