Hi Stéphane, I recently did something similar by adding a generate job to qooxdoo which builds a single JS file only including the qx oo layer. Take a look at the blog post [1] to get some details. The thing is you still need to have the python stuff and the whole SDK but you only need it once or every time you want to build your own update. If you really refuse to use python, we can send you a version here on the mailing list which you can just drop into your script. But you wrote you also want to access the source version. If you want to bring you changes of the source version to the build version, you will definitely need the whole SDK and python.
