Exactly, and it will also fire and the change event. But after that, a set of
an external source is handled correct.

I think every method you mentioned has its rights, maybe not for every
developer but for some. Check the qooxdoo source code, we sure use reset, init
and toggle methods ourselfs. So seems like they are not that unused.
But anyway, thats the way it currently is which doesn't mean that we are not
changing it at any time. Never the less, I currently don't see a reason to put
work into it.
