Hi,
you are thinking about the backend when you are talking about
"qooxdoo-aware hosting services", aren´t you ?
As far as I know the qooxdoo backend is implemented in java so you need
a servlet container like Tomcat or Jetty.
Well, in Germany it is quite easy and cheap to get a simple hosting
service for the Apache Web Server having PHP- or CGI-like-modules, but I
don´t know what about a servlet container. It is possible, that a cloud
computing platform like EC2 or Azure is the best solution for that
issue.
So I think it depends on the backend you will be using, the frontend
should not influence the choice of a hosting service.

I don't really know what you expect from a qooxdoo aware hosting
center.
There is not really anything special you'd need for hosting a qooxdoo
application as far as I can see.

develop applications with Qooxdoo, I guess I would call us "developer"
friendly.
We are located in Switzerland, Europe, Planet Earth ...

As with all books, I guess it will be outdated fairly quickly, at least

far as the more current improvements/features are concerned.
