Hi Linucos The generator already does js compression (although apparently Google's Closure compiler can shave a few more bytes off it), and enabling gzip compression on your server is usually a good idea too. If you want to split the app up, you can use "parts" to load sections on demand but that might be difficult to manage if your app is written at runtime (i.e. you would still need to potentially be able to pull down the entire of the Qx library).
If you can get away from a completely runtime dev environment that would probably be better - if you edit the code on the browser, your editor can be compiled with './generate.py build' and that will be about as small as it can get; when your developer codes in the browser, you'd save their edits to the server and get it to do './generate source'.
