Quartz Composer is a development tool, not a production tool. It's for
developers to prototype image-processing pipelines for use in software they
develop using Xcode. It's meant to be a highly efficient means of development
and testing that component of a given product.

You have to develop a patch in Xcode for Quartz Composer to support any
third-party cameras at settings not already supported. It's not that hard, and
should an ability everyone using Xcode tools, such as QC, should have or know
how to acquire.

Quartz Composer is not a stand-alone, end-user product; it is, however,
extendible in almost anyway conceivable. That's where the QC API for Xcode
comes in.

If you need full support for your camera in QC, and there's no off-the-shelf
package that provides it, it's not a bug. It's an opportunity.
