1. Does the xntpd "-x" option prevent the system clock from going backwards to 
adjust to NTP time, or does it limit it to only go backwards at small 
intervals? 

2. Does the slewalways prevent the system clock from going backwards? 

3. If we have a negative drift in the ntp.drift file, is that something that 
would be adjusted many times across each second, or would it adjust as needed 
when it has drifted to the point of say 1 millisecond off? 

4. What's the difference between NTP slew mode and step mode? 

5. What is the slow/step threshold value in AIX?
