What gave you the idea that products made by Decibel Products were made for Amateur Radio? DB made commercial grade, NON-HAM products. They provided a service to the amateur radio community by making some of the products available to the amateur radio service. Is was still the same commercial grade quality with a 15% discount. Non of the products sold were designed for amateur radio service, just happeneed that some of the engineers were hams, thus the availablity of the product. When Adrerw purchased the company, we lost a valuable supporter. When WACOM was sold we lost the other. Charles Miller WD5EEH

I have never heard of that term being used in Amateur radio type equipment. I see this all the time on medical equipment. If they put it thru the FDA and got approval, it can be sold and used in the USA. If they didn't, it's not. Period.
