I noticed Ted Felix fixed the LED and transport buttons bugs, and Tom Breton
fixed the matrix selection and some tempo ramp dialog issues in the past
couple of days. These are just the latest things to pop up in the middle of a
pretty satisfying period of seeing Rosegarden develop.

I'm not sure how this release is going to go. I don't quite feel like there's
so much going on that we need to fork off a stable branch and all that
blather, but this release needs to be conducted a bit more methodically than
our last couple have been.

Does anyone have any objection to doing a string freeze in trunk on October
10th? For the new guys, this is where we stop fooling around with any strings
inside tr() calls unless it just becomes flat absolutely necessary (eg. a
horrible typo, some translation bug whose fix requires string changes, etc.)
This gives translators a chance to catch up before we get the final release
out, and development work can continue unabated except for keeping an eye
toward avoiding string changes.

Then maybe let's just put a feature freeze on trunk on the 24th, to run until
the final release is away, which could be a week or two. I'd like to get the
release out toward the very end of October, or at the very first of November.

I don't want to hold up people's work, but I really don't want to have to
bother with a stable branch and keeping it all in sync and keeping which
version of what translation straight. It's just a PITA that never goes
smoothly; particularly on the translation side, where somebody always sends me
a .ts file against the wrong branch.

Any thoughts?
