Now that I think about it, everybody should just ignore my planning message
and carry on for the time being.

I'm about to be forced to go back on night shift starting the week after next,
and my life is going to be a completely screwed up mess for the rest of
October. It takes me at least two weeks before I can adapt to living
backwards, during which time I'm starving, sleepless, and completely
miserable.

I really ought to wait until I get to the far side of that ugliness before I
try to set any dates for anything. We'll still try to get a release out in
November, but forget about having anything out at the first of the month.
It's just not realistic for me.

Everybody just keep a tentative plan in mind that we're going to release
toward the end of November, and freeze strings a couple of weeks into the
month or so. I'll dial those dates in once I get to where I can see that far
over the horizon.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
