Thank you very much for looking at this.
It's good that you have been able to reproduce the problem. If you
can't reproduce it, a fix is only a guess.
I have been wondering regarding the missing notes problem, particularly
with the 'acid-test' case, if increasing the ALSA client pool size might
solve it.
It seems to work fine until about half way through recording the piece,
then things start getting more and more behind.
