   Thanks for the continued testing.  I really should start using your 
Beethoven midi file for testing.  I am able to reproduce the dropped 
notes with it.  So I'll switch back to this dropped notes task once again.

   In the meantime, the problems you are seeing toward the end are 
probably due to rg's poor handling of recording past the end of the 
composition.  If you change the composition end to be 500 bars, you 
should be able to record all the way to the end without some of the 
problems you saw near the end.  I also think that this may be related to 
the crashes you were seeing before.  See this bug report for details on 
how to reproduce this and let me know if this description matches what 
you might have been doing when it was crashing for you:
