Sounds reasonable.

Cppcheck is not a bug as such but a log of warnings.  Ted squished many of
them, I squashed a few, ISTM hundreds remain.  It wouldn't make sense to
wait until it's closed, because it basically can't be.

For me, nothing.  I merged my stable branches two weeks ago.  My other two
branches, while looking good so far, shouldn't aspire to be in the current
release.  So nothing to wait for here.
