I looked further at this problem. When I look at the chords track, in the area where chord-notes stop playing, with the Rosegarden matrix editor, the notes appear to be there, even though they don't play. Looking at it in the notation editor showed the same thing. I exported the file (from Rosegarden) as a MIDI file, and loaded into my device's on-board sequencer. The file played without the chord notes cutting out, except for one curious thing. The notes in the original were held out for a long time, playing continuously. In the MIDI file exported from Rosegarden, the chord notes are not continuous, but end, and quickly restart (which is not the same as a continuous note, due to attack/sustain/delay characteristics of the voice used). In my device's graphical notation display, these chord notes that briefly stop/restart in what should be a continuous note, flicker off and back on, confirming what I heard in the sound. For some reason, these long chord notes get divided into separate consecutive notes, and in Rosegarden, the consecutive note doesn't get played, so the sound ends. It seems to export them in a way that they continue playing, but these long notes should be long, continuous notes - not shorter notes following each other with no delay.
