All:I have a few Rosegarden files whose sole purpose is to initialize the 16 channels of a synthesizer to a given set of instruments, and a preset volume (controller 7) for each channel.
I have the Rosegarden preferences (MIDI tab) set to "Send all MIDI Controllers at start of each playback".
When I load such a file, and click the "run" button, the synthesizer's indicator light (it's Qsynth) does not flash. When I stop playback (or it hits the end of the segment) the indicator light flashes.
It did not set either the instruments or the volume on the MIDI channels.If I manually select each track, it sends the program change and volume controller messages to the synthesizer when I select each track.
In earlier versions of Rosegarden, all I had to do after loading such files, was to click the "play" button, and click it again (to stop playback), and it would set everything up.
I have attached the file I have been using on earlier versions of Rosegarden, and the file I created today (to set things up differently).
