Hi,
To get Rosegarden to link using gcc 4.8.2, I had to change
#include <lirc_client.h>
to
extern "C" {
#include <lirc_client.h>
}
Some featues I'd like to see:
There is an option to start jack automatically, so how about
one to kill Jack on exit. He deserves it after what he did. Don't
make me hunt him down and kill him with my own hands.
Export to wave. There is talk about using external software
like Ardour, but things like that require KDE4 libs (which imho
sucks) or Gnome 3 (which imho sucks). If you can get PCM
data to the sound card, then surely you can get PCM data
to a file. Hydrogen does it. You wouldn't want anyone to
think they're better than you, would you?
And for god's sake, could you make it easier to get sound
outta this thing when it is first installed? It shouldn't take
30 minutes for someone with a PhD in physics from Berkeley
to get audible results. No joke, I have my PhD from Cal-Berkeley
in physics. And it would have taken longer if I hadn't done
it once before last summer.
