Hi Bill....

I am not the least bit offended, but would like you to understand the
arrangements being made for sellers. Possibly you will reconsider.

First of all, this is a multi-scale convention and so you have an opportunity
to meet with many of your O, HO, N, S, civil war, modern era, etc. customers
and sell them products. It is expected there will be at least 1,400 serious
model railroaders attending this convention. It is not your normal S
get-together in a sleepy little village. It is more like New Year's Eve on
Times Square. A bustling busy environment in comparison.

Second, we have made special arrangements for seller's tables to cost only $25
each in the convention facility itself. This is NOT the National Train Show
(NTS) which is another opportunity entirely. NTS tables, as you know, are
considerably more expensive.

Third, if you'd like to send us your merchandise we will accept it, store it
and arrange for you to pick it up once your Executive Limosine arrives in
California. No need to drag it behind your car in a rental trailer. Shipping
stuff via slow surface is not overly expensive.

Fourth, the NASG swap meet tables will be open all day Thursday (9am to 9 pm)
without any competing S-oriented events. Thus, you can have the entire rest of
the week to go on tours, see exhibits, attend clinics, give clinics, enjoy the
banquet, take Diane to the Napa Wine Train for dinner in the full-length dome
car, BS with the boyz in some bar late at night, and so forth.

Fifth, the cost of flying to "S"acto with Diane at your side is practically
free if you accept a new credit card offer from Citibank (American Airlines) or
Chase (Delta?) or Southwest Airlines. Get the card, spend a few bucks and get
a free roundtrip airplane ticket. It is not hard to do, but does require some
long-range planning to get exactly the flight you want. Time to get started on
this strategy if you like the idea.

Sixth, if you like risk -- and being a small businessman you know all about
rist -- you might consider flying into Reno, NV and spending some time at the
gaming tables. I'd suggest the Silver Nugget Casino. Take Diane to the dinner
show with the winnings and then walk to the Amtrak station the next morning and
board the California Zephyr for a nice trip over the Sierra Nevada mountains
and arrive in "S"acto in the early afternoon. The Amtrak station is a short
walk from the primary convention hotel. I gotta ask you, where in the USA is
there a better experience than that?

Seventh, I'll buy you a beer once I see your table full of goodies for others
to acquire. Might be a cheap beer or it might be a darn good beer. Sort of
depends on how high your pile of stuff is.

"S"miles...Ed L.
