Thomas Hofmann Antwort an: t.hofm...@dkfz.de Institution: Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum/ DKFZ-ZMBH Allianz Ort: 69120 Heidelberg, Im Neuenheimer Feld 242 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Checkpoint signaling plays a crucial role in response to DNA damage and in metabolic disorders. Moreover, the DNA damage signaling and metabolic stress signaling cascades apparently use common signaling molecules. This PhD project is focussed on the molecular crosstalk between the signaling cascades mediating genotoxic stress and metabolic stress. The role of novel candidate stress regulators will be probed using techniques including biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology. Successful candidates will enter the Helmholtz International Graduate School for Cancer Research and will also have access to the DKFZ-ZMBH Alliance study program. This project is part of a joint project with the group of Dr. S. Herzig (Research group Molecular Metabolic Control, DKFZ). Methoden: A combination of techniques including molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology will be used (eg. western blotting, RNA interference, in vitro & in vivo interaction analysis, kinase assays, stress induction, confocal microscopy, cell fate analysis) Anfangsdatum: 1.
