A Postdoc position is available immediately at the Institut für Medizinische Mikrobiologie, Immunologie und Hygiene at the Technische Universität in Munich, Germany (3 year fixed term, extension upon successful completion) The research project is focussed on the generation of mouse models in immunology and carcinogenesis Candidates should have strong background in mouse genetics and extensive experience in the generation and analysis of mouse models (transgenic, conditional, reporter mice). Besides, experience with cancer cell biology and immunology is highly desirable. Emphasis will be in generating and examining new mouse models in the field of host-pathogen interaction and inflammation induced cancers. Candidates who have at least 5 years of mouse related research experience and are highly self-motivated in research are encouraged to apply. Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's experience according to the german collective wage agreement in public service The project offers the possibility of applying broad range of techniques ranging from molecular and cell biology to immunology and animal experiments. Applicants should be fluent in English language, and be willing to integrate as independent researcher in the team. The successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to establish his own research group and implement his transition to independence upon successful completion of the project.
