SCIENCE-JOBS-DE Stellenausschreibung (vacancies) ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dieses Angebot wurde eingegeben bei http://www.drarbeit.de, der Internet-Stellenboerse und Kooperationspartner von SCIENCE-JOBS-DE für Diplom- und Promotionsarbeiten ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fachgebiete: Biologie Chemie Tiermedizin Thema: Doktorarbeit: Epigenetic and transcriptional regulation of homing receptors Ansprechpartner: Prof. Alf Hamann Antwort an: ham...@drfz.de Institution: Exp. Rheumatologie, Med. Klinik m.S. Rheumatologie u. Klin. Immunologie Ort: 10117 Berlin, Chariteplatz 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- We study the molecular mechanisms and regulation of lymphocyte trafficking, especially the relationship between T cell differentiation and tissue- or inflammation-specific homing, the regulation of adhesion molecules and chemokine-receptors, and the immunoregulatory aspects of T cell trafficking into different organ compartments. Focus is here on the alpha4beta7-integrin, serving as mucosal homing receptor. Methoden: We use a variety of modern methods of cell separation and analysis (FACS, MACS), functional assays in vitro (chemotaxis, proliferation and cytokine synthesis) and in vivo (cell migration, inflammatory animal disease models, transgenic animals, cell survival and differentiation in transfer models) and start to establish cutting-edge techniques for the molecular analysis of epigenetic chromatin modifications and transcriptional regulation. Homepage: http://www.drfz.de/index.php?id=123 The group (presently: 3 PostDocs, 6 postgraduate, 2 MTA, secretary and the head) is well equipped and actively engaged in several research projects supported by the DFG. We are located at the Dt. Rheumaforschungszentrum (DRFZ ) in a newly erected building in Berlin-Mitte harbouring the research groups of the DRFZ and the Max-Planck-Institut f. Infektionsbiologie. This unique site offers multiple opportunities for cooperation and interaction with other scientists. We seek an engaged and highly qualified student with diploma in biology, biochemistry or similar qualification. She or he should have experience in molecular biology and /or cellular immunology or cell biology, and be strongly interested in functional and molecular aspects of the immune system. Further questions and applications (preferentially in electronic form) with curriculum vitae, copies of certificates (Abitur, Diploma), a short description of research interests and names /addresses of referees should be sent until Nov 1st to Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Alf Hamann. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mehr Informationen zu SCIENCE-JOBS-DE finden Sie im WWW unter der Adresse http://jobs.uni-hd.de, insbesondere zu den Themen An/Abmelden, Informationen fuer Anbieter und "Netiquette" - more information on SCIENCE-JOBS-DE is available on the Web at http://jobs.uni-hd.de, especially regarding subscription and unsubscription, information for offerings and "netiquette".
