Gold-Age Now Utilizes Real-Time Credit Card Processing from
 Authorize.Net

This will greatly improve our service, as only properly submitted orders
(those which have been approved by the processor) will get through to
us. In the past, over 60% of our daily orders were invalid for one
reason or another (often because of customer input error.) Additionally,
about 50% of the remaining syntactically correct orders were declined by
the credit card processor. Dealing with these problems took several
hours a day and generally disrupted the processing flow for the entire
batch of orders, including the good orders.

So give our New Improved Credit Card Processing option a try -- you'll
 love it!

  http://www.gold-age.net

And don't forget, we now proudly take MasterCard and Visa, in addition
 to American Express and Discover.

 Thank you for using Gold-Age.

 Parker E.C. Bradley
 President
 Gold-Age, LLC

P.S.: Our current real-time CC processing arrangement involves two
forms, the first of which is a simple 2 question form. This first form
should also have the following text:

"Submitting this secure form will take you to a secure AuthorizeNet
credit card processing form for real-time processing of your credit card
 information."

If you do not see the above text /or there are more than two questions
on the first form, you have an old version of our credit card order form
in your browser's cache (which will not work). To access the new form
simply click your browser's reload/refresh button and you should be all
 set.

 I second the motion.

He's comparing rates for different payment methods as if they were the
same. He's not being entirely honest in the numbers he's using to
compare other e-gold reseller rates to his. Though some of his rates are
favorable, it's unfortunate that he's comparing apples to oranges, while
saying he's comparing apples to apples.

In a

  Enjoy, I certainly did ;)

Enjoyable but a tad out of date. GSR no longer accepts InExchanges unless
you're a marketmaker and even OmniPay requires a minimum of $1000 before
they will do it for you. A couple of marketmakers will accept smaller
checks
but, so far, their service and response time has been less than
impressive.
So much so that I'm thinking of becoming a marketmaker myself. (So far
 *just* thinking about it.)

[e-gold-list] Re US Banks and Cheques - Urgent Urgent !!

2000-10-04 Thread Michael Moore

Hi Can anyone tell me if the following is
true.

US banks by law can recind cheques once
cleared within 7 years and there is no come back on the bank.

In other words if you cash a cheque the originating
bank of that cheque can during the time up to 7 years reverse that cheque and
demand the funds back?

[e-gold-list] Re: Gold-today Update

2000-10-05 Thread Michael Moore

Folks,

An Important Update,

Due to the prevalence of cheque fraud and the
tardiness of banks in generalwho improperly clear fraudulent cheques only
to reverse their decision later, Gold Today will no longer be accepting
any cheques over 250USD.

Cheques under 250USD will be subject to a wait
period of 30 days AFTER they are clearedand PRIOR to funds being spent
into an e-gold account.

The best way to get your funds into your e-gold
account is to wire the funds direct to the bank. No spends will be done
until the bank tells me such wired funds are physically in the account
irregardless.

Go to https://gold-today.com/egoldusers_cheq.htmfor
full information on how to do this.

I regret this as the vast majority of my customers
are honest and deserve the best possible service I can give them. I will continue to do that within the framework of the
conditions laid down on the Gold Today Site.

I have talked to bankers here in Costa Rica in the past, and such types of
behavior are one of their problems witht he US banking system. It is a
very
corrupt system. This is what I know:

 1. Money orders are very dangerous to cahs and banks here no longer take
them because of the level of fraud involved. As far as I know they can be
reversed almost any time. I don't know the time limit, but the reversals
were bad enought hat no bank in Costa Rica will take a money order
anymore.
Customers can send you a money order, and then a long time later claim it
was lost or stolen and the funds are reversed.

 2. I used to think that a cahsier's checkswas "as good as gold," but that
is not the case either. They can also be reversed. I had heard the
reversal period was something like three years, but that is bad enough.
Fraud is apparantly not as big a problem in this area, but it is still a
problem. A friend of ours who is also in the offshore business had a
customer Fedex her a $115,000.00 cashier's check. several months later,
the
asshole climed it was stolen. She walked intot he bank here and was
arrested, and told she would not be released until she refunded the money
to
the bank. Fortunately, she kept a photocopy of the check that proved it
wasnt' stolen, as well as the original FEDEX envelope that proved this guy
had sent it to her. She got out of jail in 24 hours, but as far as I
know,
the bnak may still be out the money while this is wrangled out on an
 internaitonal basis.

I do not know if personal or business checks can be reversed like this. I
think that once THEY clear you have the money, but I am still not sure.

We had an incident where a customer did this with a couple of money orders
they sent us. We had sent it to Omnipay for processing. We assumed the
funds were clear and issued the guy a debit card. fortunately for us, we
heard about the reversal form Omnipay before the card went in the mail, or
we would have been out the money. As is, we still had losses for card
issuance and other fees, but at least we did not loose the bulk of the
money. Omnipay told us at that time that they had enough problems like
this
that they were considering not accepting checks or money orders anymore,
and
 now that has happened.

The whle matter is bad enough that we don't want to receive large checks.
we prefer a wire transfer for larger amounts of money.

 Hope this helps.

 John

I need to know as soon as someone can be kind enough to let me know.

 Michael Moore

  ---

  Is PayPal Safe For Sellers?

This issue of Merchant watch is going to be devoted to just one subject.
PayPal. PayPal blew in on the Internet scene about a year ago. Their
slogan was "Free safe way to send and receive payments online"

This quote was taken from a discussion board dedicated to PayPal
questions

"There is an x.com reversal of nearly $1000 right out of my checking
  account"

X.com PayPal is an online payment service provider.

Recently, PayPal instituted a business type of account and requiring
bank account verification and promising that a verified business account
would never be subject to chargebacks providing the owner follows
a few rules. Furthermore they state in their TOS that they will never
withdraw money from a person's bank account without permission. For
a mere 2.5% of each transaction you could have an automatic sweep
of funds into your bank account daily. This all sounded good.

With the exception of the loss of customer's due to the fact they
would have to sign up with PayPal in order to send payments to a
merchant,

I could not see any reason a merchant would not want this service.
BUT: There is always a BUT somewhere. PayPal went on to instituting
a transaction fee along with the percentage they withheld and now
their pricing is right up there with a real merchant account. That
is not all. Remember the "Safe" guarantee and the "never withdraw
money from your checking account guarantee"?

I accidentally stumbled upon a WHOLE BUNCH of sellers using PayPal
that have nothing but HORROR stories and I think it is a good idea
to shed some light this. I would also like to point out some differences
between how a real merchant account would work in a similar situation
and show you that having a real merchant account is safer than having
a so called "Safe" PayPal account.

PayPal withdraws almost $1000 from user's bank account. Note: X.com
owns PayPal. The user's comment below.

"This gets worse by the minute. I went to the grocery store today
and my debit card was declined. I knew something was wrong because
the last time I looked I have over $1000 in my account. You guessed
it! There is an x.com reversal of nearly $1000 right out of my checking
  account."

The above quote was taken from a discussion board dedicated to Paypal
  questions etc.

The thread can be found here

  http://otwa.honesty.com/forums/Forum16/HTML/000877.html

If you take time to review the threads above, you will find several
PayPal users who had their entire account frozen and no access to
their money even while Paypal was still collecting payments. I am
not just talking about the disputed portion of the money. I mean all
  of it!

With a real merchant account, if a customer disputes a charge and
a chargeback results, the actual amount of the charge is pulled from
the merchant's bank along with a chargeback fee. The merchant
  account-acquiring
bank is not going to freeze the entire merchant account just because
of a chargeback. They will deal with just the disputed portion and
the merchant continues to have access to the rest of the monies in
the merchant account. PayPal just freezes everything, the disputed
portion and everything else in the account. The only time an acquiring
bank would freeze the entire merchant account is if the merchant is
committing fraud. NOT simply because the merchant accepted a credit
card that may have been stolen or the customer is committing electronic
  shoplifting.

Disclaimer, The above information was drawn from comments of
dissatisfied
users of PayPal and is only one side of the story. I have not contacted
PayPal at all about these claims.

Thus, I can conclude this. It is safer to have your own merchant
account.

 Hello Michael,

 Tks for your kind advice.
I finally received a reply from Parker yesterday and within a day my
 e-gold account was funded.
I take some responsibility over the delay in funding my e-gold, as I've
overlooked the requirement of Gold Age Order Form, which I submitted
 only about 2 weeks back.

 Thanks again for the help.

Gold Today
Update forMonday 21st Oct 2000
Good
News!!
Hello,
I would like to take the time to thank all my customers for
their continued patronage and support during what has been a difficult
time. It is wonderful to know that I can count among my customer friends
as well. This is how business should
be!
Gold
Todayis still currently
undergoing negotiations with a merchant bank to provide credit card facilities
for our select customers. These negotiations are going
extremely well and Ihopethese facilitieswill be fully
set and operating by the end of November. Meanwhile do feel free to take
advantage of our current facilities to fund your e-gold account. at
https://gold-today.com/egoldusers_cheq.htm .
Our minimum is only 50USD not 1000USD so you
don't have to wait and accumulate large sums of money before you can fund your
e-gold account. We are also sourcing additional supplies of gold which may
also be good news for our faithful clients later in the future. More
of that later.
Don't forget...we alsohave the
following additional benefits:You are now able to convert your e-gold
into cash. Any time you want to 'cash in' your e-gold simply go to
http://www.gold-today.com/egoldusers_convert.htm and follow the simple instructions. You also have on the

a currency converter, it will give you the most uptodate currency conversion for
the day you use it. It is purely for YOUR
use so bookmark this site for any conversions you require for any reason. It is
there for your convenience so feel free to use it.(also be aware the

Comments: 1.Is there any way of knowing how the price of e-gold
fluctuates - since it will fluctuate according to supply and demand.
CocconutGold talks about e-gold being 'down' and buying for the next boom.

Well here it looks like you answered your own question after the dash.
what can I say. Check the papers and news for the current gold price buy and
sell rates. I am not CoconutGold so cannot answer for his comments.

 2. Do your deal with US clients?

Yes, I have many US clients

 3. Are you licensed by E-Gold? They say that market makers are
independent - have you no connection at all with e-gold but this seems
totally wakko. Do you just wake up one day an decide to start a profitable
business when you have no discretionary advantage over a private individual
who sends e-gold/OmniPay the money direct and you also have to pay them that
same amount. How can you justify being in buisness?

e-gold does not give or deal out licenses. Market Makers are independent
and act as exchange providers for people who wish to fund their e-gold

accounts. Omnipay is the first of the Market Makers and still extant.
No I did not just wake up one day and decided to start a business. I woke
up several days and decided to start a business. How does anyone decide to
start a business? How did you decide to start your business? (If you have
one that is). I justify
being in business the same as millions of other people justify being in
business. To make money by providing a service or product.

 4. Where do YOU buy the e-gold that you sell me. Since your price is fixed
by what e-gold themselves charge - you can only profit by buying back e-gold
from poor suckers that have to offload i. But that means that there is a
hidden cost to my owning this stuff - the spread that is not published.

I buy gold from various places same as anyone. Of course I hope to make a
profit.
I am not a charity. I do not regard my customers, or potential customers
such as yourself, as
suckers. I think it would be a very poor business person who regarded his
or her
customers as 'suckers' and I imagine would not be in business for long
All my prices are clearly outlined on my website for all to see.
I think you will find that applies to all Market makers.

5. Correct me here if I am wrong, but the costs to me of being in e-gold
are:-
A.Purchase
i. 5% must go to e-gold
ii.You add 4.5% +$10 bank fee
iii. 1% e-gold transaction fee
B. Holding
i. Loss of Interest 15%pa
ii.Agio 1%
C. Sell
i. 2-5% premium to me
ii.Transact (to sell) 1%
iii Currency Purchase ?%
So if I buy $120.5 of e-gold from you - I have $100 gold units ($120.5
less 9.5% less 1% transact less $10 bank fee). If I sell at the end of the
year back to currency I pay 5% of $99 ($100-1% Agio - 1% transact) leaving
me $94.05 minus the cost of currency conversion - maybe 2% which leaves
$92.05 of my $120.5 dollars. If I had invested the $120.5 (15%) I would have
$138.5 so the round turn costs me $46.5 and I lost 33% by messing with
e-gold. Why do I need to do this - it is definately not a competitor to
WorldPay that charge 2.5% on CC Internet transactions in US and 4.5% in any
of 125 countries.
Well that looks complicated!
LookI buy gold at one price I sell it at another. Simple.
You asked "Why do you need to do this..."
You don't. As I said it is up to you. Pehaps some people out there might
like to
explain why THEY use e-gold. And why they are willing to pay to do so.
I also recommend you go to the e-gold site and read all the pages so you get
a good
understanding of what e-gold is and why many thousands of people and
businesses, both small and large,
like to use the service of the Market Makers, e-gold and it's associated
companies.

Go to all the market maker sites and see what they have to say. Talk to
them. Talk to customers.
Talk to e-gold. Find out more.

I hope I have been of service to you.

Michael Moore

2000-10-26 Thread Michael Moore

I responded to the email you gave but got a host unknown.
here is what I said:
Sir,

Re your query regarding your friends dividend cheque.

Yes this is possible. Although difficult and expensive. What is the value
of the cheque and why does he not cash it in himself or endorse it over to
someone such as yourself?

There would be a long delay, possibly 2 months or more before the funds were
cleared fully, before the spend could be made.

You will understand we have to be very careful with overseas cheques of this
nature as there is a lot of fraud with company cheques going around.

All market makers have become extremely cautious and most will refuse.

One of my friends has a dividend check made out to him in English
pounds. In the past e-gold would let you endorse the check over to
GSR as payment for the InExchange. My friend has told me they are
 no longer offering that service.

Is there a market maker that can perform an InExchange by a person
endorsing a third party check to the payee?

Those who have the power and the money wanna keep it. the best way to do
that is to institute global controls and keep the reins of power within a
tight community such as the conglomerates (a word largely forgotten but make
no mistake they are still there) and some individuals who weald vast power

They are at different ends of the same platform.
The platform being supported by Global Interests

Please don't confuse socialism with globalism. Globalism is simply
economic rationalism on a global scale - the right to buy and sell,
and move around internationally. Socialists oppose globalism -
because they know their "game" can't withstand the competitive
pressures of a truly free market global environment.

Hmmm depends on what you mean by "globalism". I see that word
used different ways. Socialists want socialist globalism, facists
want facist globalism, classical liberals want free market globalism,
etc. NATO, the UN, the OECD and other world ruler wannabes all have
their own particular dreams of globalism.

I've seen a good argument made that says the net movement in the
world is towards more economic freedom despite the opposite of that
which is happening in the US, Western Europe and maybe in Canada,
 New Zealand and Australia.

If I was Chinese, I'd have already adopted the Alfred E. Newman
"What me worry?" attitude towards the US, Western Europe, the IMF,
the OECD, the UN, NATO, etc.

If I was Chinese, I'd be so busy taking advantage of a lot of
*economic* freedom (vs. political freedom) that I couldn't spare
the tiny amount of energy and time to even give 'em the finger let
 alone ridicule 'em.

If I was Chinese, I'd know that the more wealthy I am, the more
 freedom I have.

What are the economic freedom trends in place starting with the
 biggest populations in the world?

 China - I see as a big positive - 1.3 billion?
 India - a minor positive - 1 billion?
The rest of the Pacific Rim - positive - ?
 South America - positive - .1-.2 billion?

 US - negative - .27 billion
 Western Europe - negative - .35 billion?
Canada, Australia, New Zealand - tough call - ?

Most of Africa - hitting bottom? - ?
Persian Gulf area - can't tell but real interesting - ?

"That's just my opinion. I could be wrong." - Dennis Miller

As for the person asking where can he "run" - the world is a lot
larger that the good ole USA - but many Americans don't realise
that. You can find freedom in the world - if you are prepared to move
away from where you lack it.

  Ian

Right. I see the best ways to punish a legal jurisdiction is to
participate in a brain and capital drain. Governments in the past
have been able to trip 'em up and slow 'em down, but ultimately not
 to stop their movement.

 Bob

Try and find an American who knows what form of government his
nation has. No wonder the US is in decline.

"Democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security,
or the rights of property, and have in general been as short in their
lives as they have been violent in their deaths." - James Madison

"Our Constitution never mentions the word democracy, not because it's
authors weren't familiar with such a form of government, but because
  they were."

i see two new posts to the freedomhound merchant review section,
 check them out yourselves at:

 http://www.freedomhound.com

click "Forum" and then "Merchant Reviews"

since i was having trouble picking the better review,
they were both just spent 10g of e-gold.

anyone else wishing to post a review, have at it - both
positive and negative messages are helpful to other users
of the gold economy. who knows, if an especially well written,
informative post shows up, you may get a spend of some
 e-metal too :)

 thanks to howard and michael.

I'm beginning the unpleasant process of taking what action I can
to get my $4800 back from OmniPay. Possibly this is entirely
quixotic, and if I'm not careful, will quickly end up costing me
more than the amount in question; still, if I've learned anything
over the years, it's that being a soft touch costs more in the
  long run.

Have you done a wire trace and subsequently verified that the $4800 went
into GSR's account? This is the first step. Your bank should be able to
provide proof that the wire was received.

They are an honest group. It's not likely they are deliberately misleading
 you.

Some basic questions: what is the corporate structure of GSR, and
their relationship to e-gold and OmniPay? Also, where are GSR and
the other operations located? I can't find any surface addresses
on either the e-gold or OmniPay web pages.

The $64,000 (well, really only $4800, but still not quite chump
change, I hope) question is: is GSR responsible for OmniPay's
debts? Also, does either operation have any assets in the US?

[e-gold-list] Re: The Gold Economy

2000-12-02 Thread Michael Moore

Our 'little gold ecology' which has been developed may still be in its
infancy by world standards and some may not fully realise it's full
potential but at it's current growth rate it is going to be a player
significant enough to encroach upon the world gold economy and cause some
prominent heads to sit up and take notice very soon.

We are not talking a ton or two of gold here but by world standards several
thousand tons of gold being eventually transacted and repeat transacted on a
regular basis. This could be enough to influence world markets in a
significant manner.

e-gold, it's associated companies, The Gold Economy, Standard Reserve,
Metal Savings and similar businesses may well, some time down the track, be
regarded as the founders of the fledgling economy we are driving into the
financial face of this planet. So those who participate at this early
stage, even in a small way, will be the prime movers in the global gold
economy in a few short years.

Your millions of dollars are not made after you have made your millions of
dollars. They are made when you have very little and you are fighting for a
place in society with your goals and aspirations in front of you and your
knock backs behind you, your sleeves are rolled up, your hands are dirty
and you get up everytime you are knocked down and then crawling, walking and
running towards that goal you build up your character, your determination
and your business to a resounding success. Then your participation,
whatever part you play, will assure you of a place in history as trite as
it may sound.

Believe it or not, we are starting a new era!

Subject: [e-gold-list] Re: The Gold Economy

Now that we have two full issuers of liability, the total amount of
currency in circulation is not just the amount of currency in circulation
 in E-Gold.

Certainly, E-Gold is an important issuer -- it is the largest at this
time. BUT Standard Reserve issues a currency Standard Dollars that is not
based on E-Gold and this is an interesting adjunct to The Gold Economy. In
about a month's time, money will be swapped from
E-GoldStandardGoldStandardDollars at the click of a mouse. The return
journey will also be as simple and as easy.

Transactions or spends that are shown in E-Gold today are not the total
number of spends. Standard Gold has spends that never register in the
E-Gold interface -- even though the Standard Gold currency is the base
 money for Standard Gold.

Thus, the indicators of The Gold Economy needs to be indicators that show
the total circulation of currency within The Gold Economy, and the total
number of transactions within The Gold Economy.

Your initial question related to the sectors of activity and whether there
was an overabundance of one particular sector represented in all
transactions etc. My reply was centered on giving you the spread of
activity to show that it is much wider than people realize -- including
taking into account the sector where E-Gold is wholesaling to another
issuer and that the activity of that other issuer had to be taken into
account when considering the sectors of activity.

 Interesting discussion.

Sir,

I read with some disappointment the inaccuracies
displayed in your article regarding e-gold.

As well as the personal and psychologically
incorrectaccusation of paranoia, which hardly becomes a person of
your standing I might add, most of your comments appear to be journalistic
phrases containing opinion and relatively little fact and of those
facts presented many are largely inaccurate.

'...at a price determined by e-gold, which is roughly the
going spot price for each precious metal in accurate...', it is exactly the going spot price.

'...Via e-mail, the customer can then use the metals-based
currency -- e-gold -- to send it to someone, pay a bill, or buy
something.' Another inaccuracy. Some simple research
will demonstrate that the spend to another e-gold account is done through a 128
encrypted site when one is actually 'in' one's account.

'E-gold is an awkward currency'. This
is an opinion not a fact. From a person of your standing we would like to
see facts not the opinion of someone who, demonstrably, has not even researched
the site correctly.

'...But the company that operates e-gold, Gold
Silver Reserve Inc., is not required to file anything about these transactions
to federal authorities. So it's up to consumers to voluntarily report the
results of their trades. It's an open door for tax evasion.' Another inaccurate statement also omitted information. e-gold is
required to report transactions of $10,000 and over as are Banks.
You couldalso addthat banks are not required to report transactions
under $10,000, which would, of course, make your statement largely
irrelevent.

Popping in the little statement that "Economist Richard Rahn warns that e-gold "could be
used as a vehicle for money laundering"' means very little if
accompanied by the statement that 'Many banks in Swizterland or the USA
could be used for money laundering', or 'Someone said that Geoff Smith
could be involved in money laundering' All statements are merely opinion
and have no basis in fact otherwise facts would be presented not
opinions. Hence my viewpoint that this is a slanted article purely to
position in the minds of the readers that e-gold is not quite
right.

There are many others.

I recommend in future that you maintain your
reputation for accurate reporting in the financial world by reporting carefully
resesarched facts and not overlaid with slanted opinion.

[e-gold-list] Gold: The New E-Currency?

2000-12-06 Thread Michael Moore

Sir,

This article in the Washtech.com is
inaccurate.

To quote '...Rahn says that the e-gold group
(http://www.e-gold.com ) is already
preparing to offer a digital gold system on the Web. Known as GoldMoney, the
system is due to start shortly," he said'

is totally inaccurate as anyone who doesa
mediocum of research will know.

a) e-gold.com has been operating successfully for a
number of years now and expanding at a rapid growth ratewith over 7
million dollars worth of transactions per day now occurring.

As has recently been pointed out by Claude
Comier of Goldbug '...14,329 spends spent 27,706.58 oz's of gold which has
an equivalent value of US$ 7,518,409.25 in the last 24 hours (from when I viewed
it). This rate is about US$ 2.7 billon per year'

Hardly '...due to start shortly...' I
think

b) GoldMoney.comis a distinctly
separate site based in the Isle of Man and has nothing to do with e-gold other
than being a potential competitor.

i.e. www.goldmoney.com

It does not take much research to find the
factsand this Rahn person appearslacking in the ability to aquire
them yet his word is taken as gospel.I
would recommend that you check your facts before accepting as gospel something
that 'Rahn says' as obviously something that 'Rahn says'is not always sond
is often to the contrary.

 Folks,

Here is a major event that will likely influence positively our gold
currency over the short, medium and long terms.

 http://www.egroups.com/message/gata/581

Another significant event is todays article on gold and gold stocks

 will finally notice.

Strange The email has now suddenly stopped coming.

I checked with my ISP (Telstra Australia) whoa dvise me they could not
stop it and it was not coming from them.

I did ask e-gold to check their server and since then it has stopped.

Who knows what happened as e-gold never say anything much about anything
anyway.

As the late Isaac Asimov once commented to me. "...a man of Mystrey"
and that is e-gold.

If you successfully unsubscribed from the mailing list, I doubt that the
recurrent email is coming from e-gold's server. It is probably a glitch
somewhere in the line of servers between where it was sent (e-gold) and
where it was received (your ISP). Or... You could have angered somebody
and this is their retribution on you; a type of email-bombing. However, it
is more probable that it is just a glitch somewhere in the line.

You say that this email is always coming from the exact same address? Why
 not just block that address?

I had to fax them a drivers license and use a visa card on my first

Subject: [e-gold-list] Russian Market Maker

 Hi everybody,

I must be the first market maker in Russia. For the current time I only
 SELL e-gold.

I have a couple of bank accounts in Russia and a bank account in USA. That
means I can easily accept payments from Russian people in RUR or USD as
well as payments from American people! Of course, I can accept payments
around the world. My Wire Transfer fee for RUR purchases is %7 and for USD
purchases is %5. If you want to perform wire transfer to my US bank
account, my wire transfer fee is %6. The minimum amount for bank wires is
RUR500.00 or USD20.00. I will fund you as soon as I get confirmation of
receiving funds (in Russia via telephone) or I can see via the Internet my
 US bank account status.

I accept Money Orders and Cheques. You can send to a US address and they
will come there in about 3-5 days (depending on snailmail service) as well
as to my Russian address (convinient for Russian people). Your e-gold
account will be funded as soon as Money Order is received. My fee for
money orders is %8. The minimum amount for MO or Cheque is $50 USD.

I accept Western Union and MoneyGram! This is for Int'l people. Min.
amount is $50USD. Fee is %5. You will be funded as soon as I get
 confirmation.

Finally, I accept WEBMONEY!!! THIS IS JUST SUPERCONVINIENT FOR RUSSIAN
PEOPLE! WWW.WEBMONEY.RU. My fee is only %5 and this is also the fastest
method to obtain e-gold! JUST MINUTES! Minimum $10 or 200 roubles.

Thanks Khurram Khan, the founder of KissMyGold, for giving me some advices
 on it.

Please contact me if you want to get funded via my service.
I will open a website if I get useful!

 Thanks all!

2000-12-16 Thread Michael Moore

True,

These regulations, far from protecting the customers privacy ensures that
ONLY the government can pry in their affairs. I am willing to bet 10gms
that there is always some proviso which excludes some government dept from
the legislation.

In other words this is a 'I can look but not you' type of legislation and
I bet ALSO that it is an 'enabling' style of legislation. A common
practice, at least in Australia, to get something the government (or someone
else) wants passed and then changed at a later date to suit their needs
with no further legislation required.

 If only that where true!

These regulations come from complaints about banks handing financial data
to subsidiaries. An example would be a bank owning an investment firm.
They mine the data of the bank customers to see who has some extra cash
laying around, the investment firm now uses that list to telemarket.

With banks diversifiying into other financial markets, the problem has
gotten out of hand for some folks. They are even getting around some of
the solitation laws because you already have a business relationship with
 the bank.

None of the regulations protect you from the government.

George,

Thanks great,

(So which Firewalls have I got huh!
huh!)

No link to SR! An oversight I'm sure,
unforgivable non the less. It will soon be be rectified and the people
responsible for it's omission flayed alive.

Besides, all going well, thereis going
to be another Market Maker site opening soon (as you may be
aware) where your site will feature in a most

prominent
manner.

work. The one that I had a problem with was the first one

2000-12-15 Thread Michael Moore

Hello Danny,

Well I see that one of my customers has answered the question for you.

What can I say!!

Thanks Chuck, although I did not want to make that information public
particularly I really appreciate your kind words and vote of confidence.

Danny,

What Chuck has said is essentially correct. Although there are some slight
differences but in a nutshell e-gold took exception to my bankers actions in
retrieving the funds back and took that out on me.

You will find also that there are other market makers who are not listed
with e-gold and e-golds directory listing is not the bible of the business.

There are other listings eminently qualified and I cite
www.goldeconomy.com, www.freedomhound.com http://www.bomis.com/rings/egold/
which is the e-gold web ring and many others which I can modestly say
(cough cough) I have prominent listings.

This thing is spreading like wildfire, and they're passing out millions of

del spans
both on-line and off-line commerce activity, and develops a strong "sticky
customer" residual income factor. By creating an Internet community that
includes international suppliers as well as local merchants, VisaRebates.com
offers its members a wide range of shopping resources leveraging the
scalability of technology and existing market distribution systems.
VisaRebates' Merchants generate profits while Members receive discounts,
cash back, and Frequent Shopper Commissions on goods and services that they
would otherwise purchase elsewhere.

This program will be made available to our consumer force of Visa
Cardholders in the near future.

To aquire your visa card and be able to refer others go to:

This is a bona fide offer, not a scam. No hidey hidey, everything up

[e-gold-list] Gold Today

2001-01-09 Thread Michael Moore

www.gold-today.com
Buy Your Gold-Today!

Latest Update! January 2000

I have been receiving some great feedback on the new website!

I have a brand new Logo and the site has been designed to make it easier for
you to order your gold. The system is simplicity itself.

Part of the new upgrade includes a new secure payment method for
Australians, and soon to be introduced in other countries, called
TECHNOCASH. This is the new internet payment system for all Australians. As
convenient as going to the Post Office and with none of the security risks
attached to using credit cards over the net, Technocash is a forerunner in
the new wave of safe and secure payment methods in Australia. Simply by
going to www.technocash.com.au you can obtain your Technocash Voucher which
you take to your nearest post office to make your payment. Then when you
place your order for gold click the technocash button on the BUY GOLD
https://gold-today.com/buygold.php3 page, follow the instructions and you
are away! Within 8 hours and usually less your gold will be in your e-gold
account.

One client said the other day, "In your preamble you state transfer to
egold a/c will take place within 48 hrs. Mine took only 7 minutes. Great
work. Thanks".

EZC Money. The easy way to transact business on the net. If you do not have
a EZCMoney account go to http://www.ezcmoney.com/.

The first EZCMoney transaction was placed the other day. Very smooth!

And further good news! I been able to effectively reduced my rates!

For all purchases up to and including 1500USD the rate is now only 9% NO
bank fees. Over 1500USD the rate is 7%. (For 10,000USD and over email me for
a special quote!) Our minimum transaction however is still only 50USD. We
look after the small folk here!

You want to cash in your gold? Our rate is now only 1% plus 10USD for bank
fees (sorry.. can't avoid this one) In other words you cash in 500 dollars
worth we give you 495 dollars worth less the bank fee! That 1% goes towards
covering taxes (our government's wages and luxury limos) and admin. (due to
the high cost of bank fees a minimum of 300USD applies here).

Of course I still have for your convienience the Spot Gold Price updated by
courtesy of Kitco.com and the currency converter by Xeon Labs. Feel free to
use them anytime, All conveniently available through the BUY GOLD
https://gold-today.com/buygold.php3

My Discussion Board is now available for anyone to join up and get the
latest news also. Go to http://www.egroups.com/messages/goldtoday and join
for regular updates on all sorts of interesting items.

I also have some great music on the home page if you want something to
listen to while you are stocking up on gold! The Music will change from
time to time as well so ... stay tuned!

So pay a visit and bookmark https://gold-today.com/buygold.php3 for future
reference.

Have a great month and Flourish Prosper!

[e-gold-list] Re: Graham Kelly - ????

2001-01-10 Thread Michael Moore

Peter,

I have known Graham Kelly for 7 years personally and worked with him for
about 4-5 of those.

Graham is one of the most honest people I know and I, for one, have no
hesitation in trusting him with my funds.

I recommend you send Graham an email with full details of your transaction.
or phone him or fax (all numbers on his web site)

Graham has a very large business and it is easy to loose track of one
transaction if full details are omitted.

Also The Australian banks tend to close down over the christmas /new year
period and are extremely slow during that time. Now that the holiday season
is over they should be back to normal

Subject: [e-gold-list] Graham Kelly -

 Hi

Does anyone know anything about Graham Kelly and the GoldNow.st people??

My problem is that I sent Graham 300 over a week ago, so that he could
transfer it to my Australian bank account. Being an Ex Aussie in the US I
have need to transfer money regularly to Aust, and I figured I'd use the
 e-gold option, and Gold now.

I checked with Graham, BEFORE I sent any money, and was told "no problem"

I transferred the money, folloed it up with an email, and waited.

What has transpired is an exchange of emails where they tried to talk me
out
of sending the money to a credit union, they told me it would take 6 days,
and they asked for my name and address again, even though it was in the
 email they were replying to.

I now haven't heard from them since last Friday, despite asking for a
status
update. (and actually asking for my money back!)

I know they have the money I sent them, and it appears they are not doing
what they said they would. It is only after trying everything else I
could
that I am resorting to posting on this list...

 Anyone got any suggestions.

 Regards

 Peter

[e-gold-list] Technocash

2001-01-12 Thread Michael Moore

Folks,

I have many overseas clients, particularly in the States trying to use
Technocash to place orders for gold on the www.gold-today.com site.
While Technocash is a brilliant system of payment for both client and
merchant, it is currently only available for Australian Residents.
Technocash, I am told, do have plans to expand overseas in due course but
for now only Australians can use it, as to place orders a
receipt with a secret number is required obtainable only from the Australian
Post office at this time. Any overseas orders using
Technocash can not therefore be processed.

For all other clients wishing to place orders may I suggest EZCMoney, an
excellent company which you may join and
which you can utilise to place your e-gold orders at the gold-today web
site.

Here are the websites.
www.technocash.com.au
www.ezcmoney.com

Naturally all clients may place wires through the banking system.

In order to speed up delivery for our US clients we are working on setting
up a US service to be available shortly where your funds can be paid into a
well known US bank and your e-gold account funded faster. Part of our
expansion!

Happy gold prospecting and remember...buy your Gold-Today!

[e-gold-list] Gold Today Expansion

2001-01-17 Thread Michael Moore

Gold Today is going to expand!!

We will shortly be setting up a special page on the site for all our
US clients.

This means that you in the US will be able to place a simple order
with gold-today and wire funds to a US bank account and your e-gold
account will be funded within hours.

The purpose of this is to improve the service level for overseas
clients. There have been too many instances of delayed funds through
banks internationally and this is not what gold-today is about.

We also have plans to set up agencies in many other countries world
wide during the course of the year so stay tuned.

Meanwhile I encourage all Australian Clients to use Technocash as the
safest and most safe method of payment. Technocash has been a
resounding success and payment is swift and secure. One client was
funded within 7 minutes of placing the order!

Watch for more exciting news!

I am pleased to say that http://www.bananagold.com is proving
wonderfully popular! Almost everyone who uses it writes to us and
says what fun it was and how it all works out well.

People are buying EVERYTHING using e-gold now, it's really unbelievable.

It's like the dream of e-gold. Almost any consumer good (except
food), you can buy from amazon -- and using http://www.bananagold.com
you can thus buy it with e-gold

Buy anything with e-gold -- a real currency now!

We are all so sick of hearing about stupid scams, etc involving
e-gold. I'm very pleased bananagold is churning along and letting
people actually use e-gold other than "to make 200% per month"

 Rock on!

Dont just add a couple of cents. Make it the last 2 digits of your eolgd
accouont or phone number. but something that is prearranged perhaps with
the person you are sending to.

If the person you were sending to got hundreds of 'little payments' each day
many of them are likely to have the same cent value (yeah I know it is a
hundred to one but I said hundreds did'nt I)

great idea though, I will be taking it up myself.

I just ran across this tip. The funny thing is I tend to do this anyway.
When sending money into a market maker consider that they get hundreds
of $100 deposits. Why not make yours 100.55, then if there is a problem
(lost your contact info) it is much easier for trace $100.55 then
$100.00. Plus, your stuff tends to stand out which helps them remember
 who you are.

TIP try adding a few cents to your deposit, this way we can verify
 our deposit quicker.

I have more than a little experience with the banking system, and
I need to stress how excellent this idea is. Additional information
on any bank transfer/wire to any other bank is HIGHLY likely to be
left out or changed on occasion, but banks are VERY good about
the difference between $999.99 and $1000.00, so why not pick a
favorite number and add it to the cents column, rather than "00"?

I have more than a little experience with the banking system, and
I need to stress how excellent this idea is. Additional information
on any bank transfer/wire to any other bank is HIGHLY likely to be
left out or changed on occasion, but banks are VERY good about
the difference between $999.99 and $1000.00, so why not pick a
favorite number and add it to the cents column, rather than "00"?

e-gold might consider putting this in a "Transaction hints" page.

I'm betting e-gold would not care, but folks who do the wires at
OmniPay (um, that would be me) and folks who get the incoming
wires would LOVE it if we saw fewer X.00s and more of
anything else involving a number of cents besides ".00." I have
found that banks and bankers will leave out (or garble) a variety
of information in wires, but rarely if ever do I see a mistake in the
"pigiron part" of the transaction, the actual dollars and cents. I'll
suggest this improvement ASAP for OmniPay, but please recall,
e-gold is blessed with 0 (no) bank accounts. Thanks.

FINALLY, I have my computer back. (Don't ask me about Apple.)

[e-gold-list] Re: Public Apology

2001-01-22 Thread Michael Moore

Eric,

I do not know to whom you may be
aplogisingbut I would like it on record that I have always found you to be
a very professional business person.

The term 'hot headed' is the last one that comes to
mind when I think of Eric Gaither. The words, calm, collected, efficient,
trustworthyand professional spring to mind.

I would have no hesitation in recommending you to
my most valuable client if the need arose.

Come on Eric, do not let your focus be detracted by one person
(whoever it may be).

I gaurantee that with the quantity of people you are dealing withyou
are definitely going to find someone who is not satisfied. It is nothing
to do with the quality of your service.

I work during the day in the complaints arena of a large company and
process about 50 to 100 complaints a day and can tell you (or anyone else
for that matter) that 80% of ALL complaints come from 20% of
complainersand those complaintsare almost always non genuine. I can
tell you this is quite correct. those 20% of complainers consistantly
complain to more than one company or person and their life generally is
one long big complain!

Focus on your goal, not on the obstacles placed in front of
you. If you focus on the obstacles you will accumulate more
obstacles.

Focus on your goals, they are what you want.

  Subject: [e-gold-list] Public
  Apology

  Anyone/Everyone,

   My name is Eric Gaither,
President of Gaithman's Gold Exchange, Inc. one of the many recognized Market
Makers of e-gold and Agents of Standard Reserve. Due to information
presented to me in various recent e-mails with an individual (who, for privacy
reasons, shall remain nameless), I would like to take this chance to make a
public apology. First, so as not tooffend those who cherish e-gold
only related material on this type of list, I would like to justify the use of
this medium for this discussion as my company provides e-gold related goods
and services and deals with/has dealt with a large portion of the readers of
  this list.

It has been brought to my
attention by an individual that my behavior is "immature" and "snotty" and
even my temper is rather "hot-headed". I have been informed I hold the
title of being the most "hot-headed" Market Maker to employees of a particular
company. If this is true, I feel I owe each of you a sincere apology. I
believe this to be the opinion of one individual in particular who lacks
professionalism, but, I could be wrong. The Internet is a vast
  expanse.

It is/has been my goal to run
a Market Maker service that exudes professionalism, efficiency, and upholds
the highest standards of Customer Service. The fees charged by my
company are compensation we fill warranted for the service we provide. It is
our policy to waive said commissions any time a client feels we have provided
less than our signature Exceptional Customer Service. We strive to answer
phone calls, e-mails, and faxes. Communication withclients SHOULD be a
priority in a companies administration. I also believe professionalism
to be a trait that should not be compromised, especially when handling
  clients' financial affairs.

   Therefore, I would like to
offer a sincere Public Apology to anyone/everyone I may have offended in the
Gold Economy *if* this has been the case and I have in fact offened
someone/anyone. If I have offended you in some manner, please feel free
to step forward and mention the scenario. I believe un-professionalism
has no place in a public forum, most especially in business/financial
affairs. If you have been offended, insulted, harassed, or belittled by
myself, or ANY member of my staff, I encourage you to step forward.I
believe in putting my "gold" where my mouth is (so to speak!) and will offer
to spend you a gram of gold (either e-gold or Standard Reserve gold your
choice!) for any situation in which I have acted less than mature or
professional. This will allow the e-gold discussion list to be informed
of such incidents and allow potential clients the opportunity to have an
"informed" opinion of my company before doing business with us and seek
alternative services. I would encourage you to mention the details so
that anyone interested will be able to avoid any such situation from being
repeated. If you found another Market Maker to correct the situation,
please recommend them to this list.

I think if you sign yourself with a name and some contact you would get a
good response.

How much gold did you purchase?
What credit card?
Who are you? There is no name.
What was the date of the transaction?

Gold-Age are an excellent company.

I think if you email or call them with FULL details uincluding CC number you
will get a response.

I purchased a hefty amount of egold from Gold-Age back in October. The
charge went through to my credit card, however the egold never showed up.
They (Parker) seem to be a pretty decent company, and I've tried to give
the benefit of the doubt. Has anyone else had problems like this? Anybody
been able to resolve an issue like this with Gold-Age? I just want the
egold that has been charged to my credit card.
