My first Pentax (K100D) had dust under the filter.
Without realising this; I had damaged the surface while trying to clean it.
Pentax service (Germany) labelled the problem as user error even
though the dust
was there from the beginning...
B.
Christine,
My DA* 50-135mm had a faulty motor (the poorly
designed/produced-implemented one).
It was replaced; a few months after the warranty period; paid.
Then, the poor lens (metaphorically, I mean!) hit the concrete and the
motor died again at that moment.
The guy at our Pentax service told
I liked the IR version.
Less distraction...
Looks very much like my (imagined) retirement home!

Darktable is quite capable when you get used to their peculiar (not in

Fascinating... The colors are artificial, but this is how they should be,

I like shooting macros.
Of the three dedicated macro lenses I have, I find myself using the
Sigma EX 70mm f/2.8 more.
The others are the Vivitar Series 1 105 mm f/2.5 (beautiful, heavy,
rather hard to stabilize well;
and Pentax F 50mm f/2.8, which is at least as lovely).
I hear/read good things
Are you aware that you can only compare the results of similar
(MP-wise) camera body-lens pairs?
If you do so (and, compare K5 with D700 etc), the results are not much
different.
Remember, they are also the ones who scored the K5 body higher than
much more expensive C/N bodies.

In addition what has already been said, I liked the background in both.
Well done!

Congratulations to you both :)
Perhaps, you should not bother to shoot during the ceremeony...
... or, perhaps you MUST!

My favorite is Dag's. Approaching the limits of minimalism...
I also liked Ken's multilayered minimalist landscape.
I feel sorry for failing to contribute.
Need a railway map, now ;)

Ann,
These are just like wrinkles we get inevitably as we experience life...
Try regarding them as nuisances rather than health problems.
They can not effect your photography, if yo do not let them ;)
Hope you feel better soon.
