I was still getting this last week. Following recommendation from a
colleague I disabled the Intel VT-d setting in the BIOS
(Security/Virtualisation) and the hang at udevd no longer occurs and
startup is successful.

I confirm what you observed. I started a video with SMplayer and then paused
it. I opened skype and started a video conversation and no more blue incoming
video call. I could also see my mirror image fine.
I could close SMplayer, while talking on skype and video was fine as well.

[Dual
removing the package completely and reinstalling through synaptic fixed
the error. Error only occurs when installed through ubuntu-software-
center. Had to change pdns.conf include line to
include=/etc/powerdns/pdns.d/pdns.local to solve the error 'Fatal
error: Trying to set unexisting
@Robert Hooker: surelly it's easy to copy-paste someone's patch, isn't
it?
Don't get me wrong here - i don't mind if you will use this patch here on
ubuntu or wherever you like, feel free.
I don't mind if i won't be noted as a creator of this patch, no.
There should be some justice in this

Verified that package correctly cross-builds, if all build-dependencies
are installed (Build-Depends + libdbus-1-dev:native (= 1.4),
libexpat1-dev:native (= 2.0.0)). Even without nocheck set.
