Re: [Alsa-user] USB Audio Input Controls / Level - Functionality Improvement
hello I go back on my problem with the interace Komplete audio 6 from Native Instruments. in short the problem is with the snd-usb-audio driver that I don't have any device capture control and some strange device output. The release of my card is : Bus 004 Device 003: ID 17cc:1001 Native Instruments I see that in the source alsa the same device is : 17cc:1000 (note the one end differs) I supposed that the functionnality is not complete because of the id product is not the same. So I edit the source of sound/usb and change the idproduct 1000 to 1001 where I find it then I compile a new kernel wtih a new module snd-usb-audio from the linux-source of the distribution (ubuntu) No luck , it's not so simple : even if the driver loads, the card doesn't. Probably the one say that something has changing in the card. The error message is : [3.897212] usb 4-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci [3.990359] usb 4-1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=17cc, idProduct=1001 [3.990363] usb 4-1.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=12, Product=7, SerialNumber=13 [3.990364] usb 4-1.2: Product: Komplete Audio 6 [3.990366] usb 4-1.2: Manufacturer: Native Instruments [3.990367] usb 4-1.2: SerialNumber: 5F9192A1 [ 17.070590] usb 4-1.2: reset high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci [ 17.162692] snd-usb-audio: probe of 4-1.2:1.0 failed with error -11 [ ...]i I don't know what to do else. Re: [Alsa-user] USB Audio Input Controls / Level - Functionality Improvement
Hi, I find it hard to believe that your soundcard offers no control over input level, or that alsa can't parse the control information from your card. Try shutting down anything related to pulse audio, and use simple command line tools like 'amixer' to read or set your controls. If it still doesn't work, you must provide us with more information, like kernel version, libasound version.. etc Regards, Sam 2015-05-15 4:28 GMT+02:00 Chapman goat...@unm.edu: Hi, I am using the ALSA snd_usb_audio kernel driver with my Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6. I would also like to have another input channel record my garden in the ultrasonic range, for bird, bat, cricket, and mouse sounds. This is not possible at this time because of these issues.
