[android-developers] How to pop up android keyboard through bluetooth?

I'm developing a software working on bluetooth barcode sanner. When my 
barcode sanner connected with my android phone via bluetooth HID protocol, 
the android keyboard will be hidden. I want to pop up android keyboard by 
sending some commands through bluetooth HID protocol. What the command 
should I send through bluetooth HID protocol?

Reporting to the Manager of Advanced Services, this is a highly technical
role, providing pre & post-sales support of Junipers Network Products. The
Resident Engineer will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the
products deployed or to be deployed within the Customer’s networks.



*Typical Activities:*

• Troubleshooting the network’s design and architecture issues

• Analyzing network and device configurations

• Providing network design leadership; assisting in identifying
and building solutions

• Testing product features and functionality

• Providing deployment guidance to ensure that implementations

This is a full-time position and may require long work hours.  Technical
support to the Customer may require the Resident Engineer to:

• Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and to open and
track JTAC cases through to problem resolution on pre and post production
issues.

• Raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to
track these through to problem resolution.

• Produce a written summary report of the status of Design
projects, equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the customer
and to the Account Team and leadership.

• Hold design and information gathering workshops with the
Account Team & customer to understand the Customer’s existing network
design and technical requirements of new network designs.

• Understand the customer’s organizational structure and become
familiar with the customers’ network implementation and support processes

as required by the customer in a laboratory environment and to help develop
plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live
network.

• Test patches and fixes to operating software and to ensure

test network and then live network as implementation plans dictate.

• Hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss
equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates,
including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds
and/or solutions that are being tried.

• Train the customers’ design, implementation and support
personnel to configure and operate the Juniper Networks products.

• Support design and planning of Juniper MX, EX and SRX network
routing products and associated solutions within the Customer
infrastructure.

• Support ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies

• Peer with other employees performing similar Resident

[android-developers] Why are global proxy settings cleared after restarting the phone?

Hello everyone!


I've built an app that once set as device owner turns around and sets the 
global proxy settings using the setRecommendedGlobalProxy() function like 
this:

It all works great until I restart the phone and then the global proxy 
settings are gone. If I check for the global proxy settings via 
ConnectivityManager.getDefaultProxy() 
,
 
it returns the proxy pac url that the app set earlier but even so, no 
network traffic is being proxified.


Interestingly enough, if I go to Settings -> Google -> Security -> Verify 
Apps, disable "Scan device for security threats", reboot the device, clear 
the global proxy settings and then reset the global proxy settings they 
will work until I re-enable "Scan device for security threats" and restart 
it. This makes no sense to me because it clearly states that I will be 
notified if any security risks are found and I sure haven't seen any 
notifications yet.


A few things worth mentioning:

   1. 
   
   I've tested on various devices and can reproduce the issue on all of 
   them.
   2. 
   
   Properly signing the apk and then installing it doesn't fix the issue.
   3. 
   
   Once the global proxy settings have been broke, I have to first clear 
   and then reset them before they'll properly work again.
   
Any suggestions or possible ideas as to what I'm doing wrong would be 
greatly welcomed!

[android-developers] How to call out Gboard virtual keyboard through bluetooth?

I use Gboard on my android phone. I'm developing a software working on 
bluetooth barcode sanner. When my barcode sanner connected with my phone 
via bluetooth HID protocol, the Gboard virtual keyboard will be hidden. I 
want to call out Gboard virtual keyboard by sending some commands through 
bluetooth HID protocol. What the command should I send through bluetooth 
HID protocol?

[android-developers] small countries rankings

I have a question. In App Store there are no rankings for the following 
countries: Myanmar, Libya, Ethiopia, Georgia, Mali. 

For the apps that are being launched there, where the downloads and revenue 
get attributed to? 

Is there a plan to add these countries to App Store rankings?

[android-developers] Why can't I access localStorage in a string variable on android studio?

I have a pretty basic code for a webview app:

If I put my webapp (index.htm) in the assets folder and load it, it works 
perfectly, but my code is available for anyone who cares to extract the 
.apk.

I was trying to paste the code on a String and the load it with 
loadDataWithBaseURL. It worked almost as well. The thing is: if I try to 
access the localStorage, the code breaks. Why is that?

Example:

String data = "x=localStorage.getItem('name');";

Doesn't work!!! Although, as I said, if I load the same code from the 
assets folder, it works.

In my app, the loaded dex maybe changed when web server has newest one. The 
crash is not inevitable. It's not appear crash when I test my app in the 
same config machine.
And i found one feature of only crash once in user machine.
Through read the android source code, i know dex need optimize when first 
load. I guess the crash has relationship with this optimize.
But i'm not confirm it.  Does anyone has any experience on these kind crash?

[android-developers] Taxfree selling in Playstore

Hallo,

ich bin SysAdmin in einem Tierpark mit Freizeitparkanbindung. Seit ein paar 
Tagen haben wir eine App mit InApp-Purchases im Store. Ich kann leider 
keine Möglichkeit finden, eine Steuerbefreiung in Deutschland einzutragen. 
Unser Steuerberater meinte, dass wir unsere Produkte an Google verkaufen 
und Google dann natürlich mit Steuern verkaufen muss.

Hat er da Recht oder gibt es irgendwo eine Möglichkeit? :)

we have an free app with inapp purchases in the store. Everyone can buy 
inapp-p. but we need an taxfree selling. We come from germany and the app 
is only for our zoo that is exemt from tax :)
I dont find any solution. Is there a way or did we cant change that?

Hallo,

wie wertet ihr eure Playstore Finanzberichte über eure Verkäufe aus? 
Benutzt ihr ein Programm damit ihr die CSV-Dateien ohne viel Schnickschnack 
öffnen könnt? Selbst Google-Tabelle hat Probleme beim öffnen dieser Dateien.

Klar, ich kann Excel Öffnen und aus einer CSV-Datei auslesen. Jedoch birgt 
das viele Fehler und ich muss wieder ran.

Ich will nicht jedesmal beim Auswerten in der Buchhaltung sitzen und denen 
Helfen. Es soll so einfach wie möglich sein :)

Did you use an special program to open the csv-files from the playstore 
financialreports? Okay, i can import these files into excel, but there are 
some formatting-errors and i dont want to stay at the financeoffice everey 
month :D
Propably an good converter to convert the csv-files to xls files by batch?
