Re: [on-asterisk] WooHoo!
That's very cool. Did you use one of the ajax toolkits, or is it custom javascript? I'm sure you've thought of this already, but the limitation I foresee here is needing to have the page in focus waiting for inbound phone calls. Any thoughts of integrating with Jabber or something else I might already have running that can pop up data? Re: [on-asterisk] WooHoo!
I have been using jQuery for a long time (since I really do not enjoy writing JS). The page does not have to be open for the notifications to be logged / stickies added. This is due to the fact that the dial plan inserts 6 records into the DB - ID Direction - incoming/outgoing Status - If a sticky has been loaded on the page it is marked inactive and is not shown again. cid_name - Caller ID name cid_num - Caller ID number call_time - current timestamp To integrate with Jabber is VERY simple using the XMPPHP Google code library. You could even write the config from the web interface! I will add Jabber support immediately and test it out. On 14-Feb-09, at 8:22 AM, Simon P. Ditner wrote: That's very cool. [on-asterisk] CISCO Asterisk 729 Issue
FOlks, I need some help from you while I am trying to get my CISCO gear working with Asterisk. I have CISCO AS5300 and I am trying to send calls to my Asterisk Server by using CISCO's version of g729r8. Some how when I do that My Asterisk Box says No compatible codec's, not accepting this offer!. When I use 711 on both sides (ulaw), It works like a charm, No Issues. I did some googling and saw some recommendations like try to enforce g729r8 bytes 40 at the CISCO end but NO Luck. I am using Digium licensed version of G729. Any help or advise would be much appreciated Syed Zia

Hi Zia, I guess that's exactly what we experienced with your endpoint when we tried to interconnect with you for India routes. Either of the free G.729 or the digium licensed ones didn't work. -Bruce From: syed...@rogers.com To: asterisk@uc.org Date: Sat, 14 Feb 2009 11:17:24 -0500 Subject: [on-asterisk] CISCO Asterisk 729 Issue FOlks, I need some help from you while I am trying to get my CISCO gear working with Asterisk. RE: [on-asterisk] CISCO Asterisk 729 Issue
Your guess is completely WRONG ;). We don't use Asterisk or CISCO for wholesale termination ;). All our wholesale termination goes through our nextone environment. This is the switch I bought a day before yesterday ;) -Original Message- From: Bruce N [mailto:het...@hotmail.com] Sent: Saturday, February 14, 2009 2:32 PM To: Syed Zia; asterisk Mailing Subject: RE: [on-asterisk] CISCO Asterisk 729 Issue Hi Zia, I guess that's exactly what we experienced with your endpoint when we tried to interconnect with you for India routes.
