Sounds like a broken neck. I have had this in 2 ewes. They get to fighting and get a spinal chord injury. Trisha I am sorry about the loss of your lamb. Whenever limbs don't work, I always suspect some neurological problem first. Either a broken neck or back would cause the legs not to work. Usually when you pick a lamb up it will move, but not in this case. If it was struggling to get up and couldn't, that would be my best guess.
