this point. In other words I have no plans on pulling it down at this time.

Hi Anna,

Try the following:
1. Open the Control Panel find Power Options press enter to open.
2. When power Options opens you will be on the first tab of the power
schemes tab. Home / Office Desk should be selected here.
3. Tab 3 times to your monitor settings combobox, I have mine on 10 minutes
just in case the monitor is turned on someone forgets to turn it off, it
will turn off after 10 minutes. Tab 1 time to the hard disks combobox, I
have mine set on, never. Tab 1 time to the stand by combobox, I have mine
set on, never.
4. Tab to the apply button press the spacebar. Now control + tab 2 times
to the, Hibernate tab.
5. You should be on the, Enable Hibernation checkbox, if this box is
checked, uncheck it with the spacebar.
6. Tab to apply, press the spacebar, tab to okay , press the spacebar or
enter to save your changes close.

The steps above are the way my computers are set-up these are my
preferences. I'm not saying that you should set your computer up this way,
I'm just giving an example. I don't want the computer doing anything unless
I give the commands to do so.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Mike

Re: [Blind-Computing] Problem in gold wave

2013-05-22 Thread Scorpio
Did it ever announce that information before?

If so, then you must install the Jaws scripts you installed before.

to my knowledge, Jaws has never announced that information when used with
GoldWave right out of the box. It only announces that information when the
scripts were incorporated.

If you don't have the scripts, you can get them from this list's homepage in
the scripts section. Otherwise, you will have to do without, or find some
other way to obtain that information.

Sorry.

OK, you can also check
with alt+h and down to about, I-E and check the data there if it still I-E 10
then you need to change your update settings to something other than
download and install automatically
in that case you would be sure it wont reinstall it by it self again.
And if it was I-E 9 then Jaws is still have the old data from the former one
would be no harm with it.
hope it helps

I am using goldwave version 5.58 and jaws 13.0 on an xp computer, so our

I tried going to 5.68 and got the same results you reported.

When I went back to 5.58 things worked fine.

What exactly is it about IE 10 you don't like Tom? It may be easier to
address the problem than to roll back to an earlier version. Soon or
later you will have to upgrade so possibly working out the problem
would be best long term solution?
