OK, you can also check with alt+h and down to about, I-E and check the data there if it still I-E 10 then you need to change your update settings to something other than download and install automatically in that case you would be sure it wont reinstall it by it self again. Re: [Blind-Computing] internet explorer not listed on add or remove, win 7
I did your steps, and download and install automaticly was checked, and space barred it out, but there is nothing about the i.e.version on this page -Original Message- From: hareth iraq Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 1:47 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] internet explorer not listed on add or remove, win 7 OK, you can also check with alt+h and down to about, I-E and check the data there if it still I-E 10 then you need to change your update settings to something other than download and install automatically in that case you would be sure it wont reinstall it by it self again. And if it was I-E 9 then Jaws is still have the old data from the former one would be no harm with it. hope it helps On 5/22/13, Tom tclar...@gmail.com wrote: I did these steps, and made it to the uninstall, but after I'd rebooted, I hit insert + control + v, and it still says i.e. 10. shouldn't it change? -Original Message- From: hareth iraq Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 11:45 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] internet explorer not listed on add or remove, win 7 Hi Tom, go to : control panel / windows update / tab to find installed updates you should find it there and uninstall it if you like.. take care On 5/22/13, Tom tclar...@gmail.com wrote: I had an update to i.e 10 recently, but don’t like it, but there is no add or remove heading with internet explorer listed on the list, or the view updates list. What exactly is it about IE 10 you don't like Tom? It may be easier to address the problem than to roll back to an earlier version. Soon or later you will have to upgrade so possibly working out the problem would be best long term solution?
