Re: [Blind-Computing] transfer downloaded bard book to cartridge

2013-05-27 Thread t.

gerald,
are you calling the digital cartridge your flash drive? I sent tom a
personal email, and told him that I move my bard books to the cartridge the
same way he does. we simply open the zipped file, select all files, copy and
then paste them to a saved folder.
I don't know yet if you listen to bard books as we do, but since no one
has replied to my question on how to delete books from a digital cartridge,
maybe you can help.
when I go through the steps to get to the books on a cartridge, there no
book titles, just the unzipped files from each book, so I have no way of
knowing which files to delete. do you delete books from a flash drive, and
does it give the title on the list? tim

I want to ask anyone who downloads books from the bard site, and then
transfers them to a cartridge, if they do it like I do?
after the book is downloaded to my default win 7 download folder, I cut it
to a folder in documents I have for bard books, which has about 12 books
in it, and when I want to put this book on my cartridge, I open the zipped
book, from the bard folder, copy the files, and then paste them to a
folder, select the files, applications key to send to, and up to
removeable. is this how you do it?

Each book should be unzipped into it's own book folder then transferred
to cartridge or flash drive. This way the whole folder can be deleted,
and you won't have a bunch of loose files on the drive.

thanks for the cut/paste tip,
and I guess, as I do, there's no need to keep the original downloaded zipped
book file after I transfer it to the cartridge
