Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] v3 - DHCP on CUCM 7

Hi,

Sorry, I think I posted my reply only to Mark.

The solution he gave worked like a charm! So this mystery has been solved.

Thanks!

Do you have DHCP snooping enabled on your switch?

  Hi team,

This is going to sound bizzarre! And maybe, a little amateurish. But for
some reason, I cannot get dhcp on cucm 7 to dish out IP's! If I enable it
 on
a router or switch, no problem. I know this is the most basic of
 functions,
  but it's bugging me insanely.

At the moment (to get going with labs) I'm running dhcp off my router.
 The
dhcp monitor service is started, and I've restarted cucm service. I've
 got
the dhcp helper-address on the correct vlan, and have even tried on a
  completely flat network. No go.

Like I said, if I put any other dhcp server on the same subnet, all is
 good.

BTW, I'm running it off the pub, haven't tested on the sub, but doubt
 that
will make a change. Server is added as dhcp server, and approriate scopes
created. Is there some hidden service that I need to activate?

  Urgh! Any advise will help.

Thanks! Great forum by the way!!!

Not amateurish at all - bug in CSA implementation (like many others in
7.0.1 :0 )

SSH in and Disable CSA from the CLI of both Pub and Sub:

utils csa disable
restart? yes

Cheers,
