Democrats Shouldn't Worry About Bush

(Republicans Should...)

Devvy Kidd
December 13, 2000
Tonight Mr. Gore gave his speech. Give the Devil his due: Mr. Gore gave an excellent
and I think, genuine speech--for a change. Unfortunately, even after eight years as
Vice President of the United States, Gore still hasn't learned our legal form of
government and called America, incorrectly, a democracy, ad nauseam. Wb'ya's speech
was boiler- plate and what gripped my gut is the fact that I will have to look at his
stupid and constant smirk for the next four years.

It's been bad enough viewing Clinton and his jutted chin with that disingenuous smirk
plastered on his face for the past eight years. Now we've got a new flavor of smirk on
a head that contains less intellectual matter than this nation deserves as it's
President.

Bush's speech tonight was full of the usual buzz words:

"conciliatory," the silly "compassionate conservative," and "free" prescription pills
for seniors (keep those old people medicated so they don't catch on to the scam!).
Like Gore, Bush believes America should be governed by mob rule (democracy).

Wb'ya mouthed a phony segment about Thomas Jefferson. What an insult to Jefferson.
Following his reference to our great third president, Bush lauded "our democracy."
Well, Republicans, you got what you ask for, now we'll see how this "lesser of two
evils" works out for you. I already know how it will play out for our Republic. Like a
cartoon character, we heard "bi-partisan" at least 15 times. Smirk, smirk, yuk,
yuk..The one party system doing the two-party dance--strictly for public consumption
and tragically, the party faithful will go right back to sleep.

The grassroots Republicans in this country have got to wake up and recognize that your
party has played you all for fools and let me give you one glaring example: when I ran
for Congress, the well-meaning and very patriotic Republicans in my district were all
excited about the "Contract with America". They pushed all the party faithful to watch
the propaganda films put out by former House hot-shot, Newt Getrich. This guy is as
evil as they come, but the party faithful either refuse to recognize this or they
simply haven't had access to just how bad this guy ishere's a clue:

On 11 . 13. 96, I spoke with the Washington, DC based Roll Call to confirm the
following information which ran in the New American magazine, November 25th issue. The
staff at Roll Call was very helpful in verifying the accuracy of this excerpt:

"House Speaker New Gingrich has admitted that a hidden motive behind his 'Contract
With America' two years ago was to control the large and stridently conservative
freshman class that was expected to come into the house with the 1994 mid-term
elections. 'Nobody fully understands this,' Gingrich explained in confidential tapes
obtained by Roll Call, 'but if you think of the Contract with America, it was, in
fact, a training implementation document masquerading as a public relations
device...It was designed as a training implementation document for the freshmen when
they arrived...It was guaranteed that from election day through April, early April,
that the House Republican Party would have to behave in a deviant manner from what it
would morally be expected to do.'"

Roll Call said there was much more on these confidential tapes they managed to acquire
and will be printing it in their newspaper. Got that, party faithful? You were taken
for a ride. Hood-winked. Newt, a new world order lackey, got all the desperate folks
that belong to the Republican Party worked into a dither of false hope with phony
promises. How did Mr. Newt know enough in advance to plan this little "public
relations device" even would be needed for the '94 "elections" and incoming freshmen?
Because somebody whispered in his ear not to worry, there would be this "Republican
revolution," and the millions would be neutralized.

For Democrats who are crushed by use of the word 'Devil' above, Al Gore is a dangerous
man. He has sold us out just as egregiously as Clinton, make no mistake about it. I
would highly recommend that Democrats who are upset by this phony "election" outcome
and my criticism of Red Al, that you get on the Internet and read the excellent
investigative pieces on web sites such as worldnetdaily.com, newsmax.com; hit a search
engine or two and type in Al Gore. You will discover that this guy has never cared a
whit for the common man, "people of color," or any other American. He has always been
red

there have always been people such as you that hide behind religiousity and

Kris,

Your despondant diatribe is typical of one in denial...

You deny the powers that be, and have shown yourself.

That's fine with me. I could care less that you think that

religious beliefs are myths and fairy tales. You only deceive

yourself. One day, you will know the truth.

However, I refuse to rail against you, as you have me. I at

least give you the space to believe what you want to believe,

tho' I may not agree.

(You show some uneducated behavior for someone who

*appears* to this list as one who IS "educated" and

"wise" in the ways of the world). And that may be your total

downfall, that you are more wise in the ways of the world.

than in the way of faith and belief in God's Word.

I've done my research, thank you. I just don't agree with

yours.

Jesus said, speaking to people who believed the

same way you do...

"You are from beneath; I am from above:

You are of this world; I am not of this world. I said

therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins:

for if you believe not that I am He, you shall die in

your sins." ~John 8:23-24

If you want to believe that is fable, hey go for it,

and have a nice trip... but don't condemn me, because

I refuse to agree with your nonsense.

[CTRL] Fwd: [NA] Predictions Aftermath for Election 2000: Right and Wrong

2001-01-01 Thread Kris Millegan

"Those who cast the votes decide nothing.
Those who count the votes decide everything."
attributed to Communist Tyrant Josef Stalin

December 31, 2000 NA (Network America) e-wire

Predictions Aftermath for Election 2000: Right and Wrong

This Network America e-wire was, as far as we know, the only place in
the world that predicted IN WRITING and without hedging — that the 2000
Presidential election would NOT be decided on election night — but would
drag on into the Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday following election day.
We were a bit conservative on the resolution date – which turned out to
be December 12, 2000, one month and five days later.

And this writer is NOT part of the Psychic Friends Network! ALL the
below predictions were made based on Big Media clues coming over all 5
Big TV Networks – and on this writer’s instincts.

As promised, here is the analysis of the Election 2000 Predictions your
writer put on the internet at about 6:18 A.M. PST (that’s 9:18 AM EST)
on November 7th, Election day 2000.

Doubters can go to topica.com and then go to the Network America list to
verify this. Topica is an independent list service that serves thousands
of email lists, and it “time stamps” every message that is sent out by
lists like Network America.

Here is the word for word e-wire that was sent out on that election day
morning – with our comments and scoring of “right” or “wrong” — the
comments will be preceded by four stars () for easy reference.

Here is the exact text, with comments, of that November 6th Network
America e-wire, sent out on the morning of November 7, 2000 at 9:18 AM
EST:

Predictions – Election Day 2000

I only have a few minutes to make my election day predictions, as it’s 9
AM on Election day as I begin to write this.

Comment: I had spent most of the night sending out 4 other e-wires
to catch up messages for the dates of November 3, 4 and 5. End of this
comment, back to original text of the Nov. 6, 2000 “prediction” e-wire:

This e-wire will carry only the predictions. After the election I will
re-run these predictions with why I’ve called things this way, and
whether the predictions were right or wrong, and WHY they were either
right or wrong.

Comment: I thought this would be done on November 10 or so — but
then the election outcome dragged on until December 12th, and during
those weeks I had some of the busiest days of my life collecting
information, doing radio shows, answering e-mails and letters, and
talking with people all over the country as we all tried to take
advantage of the developing events to reach as many of our fellow
Americans as possible with the message of verifiable elections for the
future, rather than the easily rigged systems being partially exposed by
the Big TV Media, after that same Big Media had protected those corrupt
systems a generation. End of this comment, back to original text of the
Nov. 6, 2000 “prediction” e-wire:

Here are the predictions, culled from analyzing the cues, overt
propaganda and covert propaganda of the Big TV Media over the last weeks
and months.

1. W. Bush and Dick Cheney will be credited with winning the
computerized count and will become President and Vice President.

This Network America e-wire first predicted that Bush and Cheney
would win in our August 2, 2000 e-wire. We never wavered from this BASED
ON CLUES COMING OVER ALL 5 BIG TV NETWORKS. Later e-wires on this “How
Bush Will Win” (Nov 19, 2000) and “The Goring of Gore” (Nov 30, 2000)
were not perfectly accurate, but may be of interest to new readers. All
archived post election e-wires can be most easily found at votefraud.org
by going to the “What’s Hot” section and searching out what you want by
month and then date. End of this comment, back to original text of the
Nov. 6, 2000 “prediction” e-wire:

2. Hillary Rodham Clinton will be declared the winner in New York.

Comment: This was an easy one. The whole Prostitute Press from the
New York Times to CNN to NBC, etc. etc. let this shallow lightweight —
who’s eyes warn that she’s moving ever closer to being in need of a full
blown exorcism — get through an entire election without being subjected
to one tough run of follow up questions, and without doing even one
tough investigative series (ya know, the kind they loved to do on
Richard Nixon or Spiro Agnew) on even one of the dozens of unindicted
felonies in Hillary Clinton’s background — all crying out for justice.
“Senator Elect” Hillary Clinton is in your future — AS PRESIDENT OF THE
USA — if we do not rid ourselves of the easily rigged computerized
elections, and return to honest, verifiable hand counted ballots.
(Incidentally, Rick Lazy-o was just the type of raw-ambition, sell out,
“me too” demoncrat-Republican that makes alert Americans sick at the
sight of the current day Republican Party.) End of this comment, back to
original text of the Nov. 6, 2000 “prediction” e-wire:

3. The Republicans will keep the Senate.

For those who have not had a formal introduction to the Burmese military
junta. Please let me introduce you to one of its more delapidated minions.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]. The Okkarthing from Juntastein. The Okkarthing is really
a monster of course, far bigger than only one man. Parts of its tentacles
can often be seen crawling around the gutters of London and other major
cities, threatening exiles and searching for what it calls business. In this
case, the business is running vast loads of heroin and meth abroad from its
secret factories in the jungle, slave labour, genocide of the Karen and
other non Burmese nations, and day to day torture.

The Okkarthing from Juntastein has no real power. It is told what to say by
its masters in Rangoon. And if it ever gets out of line, as sometimes
happens. It is treated to about 9 years in some of the worst conditions any
prison anywhere can supply. But one must not feel sorry for it, for in the
end it will fight what is a "rear guard action". However, there is no way
the junta, the "Perfect Dictatorship" (NYTimes Nov 2000) will last for much
longer. It's agents are falling in the field. It can't even compete in
international sports tourneys where it meets nations such as Iran, who "know
the score" and are hostile to major drug dealers. And as was shown when
Burma withdrew from the FIFA World Cup in 2000, paying a fine of a mere
$22,000 in the process, but losing more face than it can afford.

Last year, as a Christmas treat for the Generals in Rangoon, we published a
list of their agents on the Internet. (Sorry about all the military
personnel arrests that followed chaps, but we are dealing with drug dealers
huh?)
However this year, our eyes have taken a rest and we are not able to script
a similar pantomime until later in January 2001.. However, so as not to let
the junta down, and as its got used to our little Christmas suprises. We
decided to focus upon their military personnel in the UK.

Here in the UK, we are about to "roll up" a few of its agents. 3 of whom are
military personnel living here illegally. The Burmese military should not be
in the UK, indeed it is an affront to the state that they remain. If I were
you Okkarthing you murderous little tentacle you, I would pass this missive
to Win and the rest of his gang as soon as possible

With our very best wishes for their rapido exit.

I believe the "open content" concept is going to enter the public

Subject: Predictions for 2001

This is the year we really begin to leave people behind for the
wolves to devour.

As energy prices continue to increase, this will wreak havoc in
poor neighborhoods where there is little or no discretionary
income. Requests for emergency assistance for utilities and food
will continue to increase (1999 saw an increase of 32% in
requests for food assistance from Catholic Charities), but
supplies will continue to decline (there was a 52% decline in
donations for food assistance over the past year). In October of
2001, the first group of welfare recipients will run up against
the "five year lifetime limit" on assistance, generally there is
no plan in place to help these people.

Homelessness will increase, and the number of children and
families among the homeless will increase.

1) Brutal legal war over fair use.

2) Lots of handwringing over Microsoft now that George Bush's Justice
Department is running the show. Do they drop the case? Can they take
the political heat?

3) More extreme examples of Carnivore. FBI asks to intercept emails

4) Debate over how much the web is dominated by a few players.

The new year (and millennium, for that matter) will have some interesting
advances in network and data privacy. I predict that the govenrments will
investigate a large-scale PKI for citizen identification (We've seen some
movement with the ACES program). At the same time, I expect that quantum
cryptography (and brute-forcing) will greatly advance by years-end,
bringing new bitlengths into decryption reach for a few entities.

Deke Bones

His Fraudulency II, George W Bush

In 1878, RB Hayes stole the election from popular vote-winner, Democrat
Samuel Tilden. Hayes was a member of DKE (Delta Kappa Epsilon) the “oldest
international secret fraternity of NE origin(1844).” Founded as a Yale
junior-class society, many moved on to the German-related senior-class secret
society, Skull and Bones.

SB founder Alphonso Taft serving as Attorney General in the Grant
administration helped shape the 1877 commission which papered over the theft.
Bonesmen Morrison Waite serving as Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court and
Senator Wilhelm Evarts, Hayes’s Secretary of State and other “brothers”
helped to influence the eventual results. An agreement whereby the Southern
Democrats didn't “contest” the election for assurances to end the
Reconstruction.

These power of these two related fraternal organizations is stark in their
influences effecting the course of our republic. Through members such as
Theodore Roosevelt, WH Taft, Col. Stimson, Averill Harriman and others these
secret fraternities have operated levers of power for generations. Gerald
Ford is a member of this select group. GHW “Poppy” Bush and GW Bush are
members of both secret clubs, whilst “where did he come from” vice-president
Dan Quayle was just a “Deke.”

Now we have, “His Fraudulency II” George W. Bush. The psychological damage
to our participatory republic is calculated. The “elite deviants” have stole
the election in broad-daylight, through hypocrisy, thuggery and chicanery;
have put the idiot son in as President of this nation and there ain’t nothing
us poor hoi polloi can do about it.

We shall see.

[CTRL] Fwd: Bible Biggest Conspiracy Theory since Kris and CTRL

2001-01-01 Thread Aleisha Saba

So bus drivers and clerks should not be permitted to on their own to
form a conspiracy group.

Now take Pat Robertson = who thinks he is one of God's Bankers..boy
the people of Scotland were on to him and when the mob, the bus drivers
and clerks and "little people" from whom Pat Robertson has become very
rich indeed, why Robertson makes Lyndon LaRouch look like a piker?

God's Banker - and Vera Harper sends out garbage where bus driver,
clerks, are not supposed to think for themselves and have no right to
speak on conspiracies.

Jesus Christ was a carpenter - today if he would return he would not be
acceptable to the people who wrote the garbage Vera Harper, who to me is
a lewd and lascivitious woman from judging from her writingsJesus
was just a carpenter, literally and figuratively.Peter was just a
fisherman - Luke was an unlicensed physician, more like a faith healer,
and was it - who was the tax collector

Render unto Ceasar - is this why the disciples carried no money and did
not have any possessionstoday would they be street people or
revolutionaries - or was Jesus the son of King Philip..royalty often
sent their children away when 13 to avoid vendettas where entire lines
wiped out = like in Psalm 109 - you get the whole bunch if you can, from
father to son.like Job and his sons being murdered.

None Dare Call this Conspiracy? So where is the origin of all
conspiracies? Why the bible, of course.and the Kings and Queens
knew how to get someone killed - when Shakespeare learned this great
secret laws were passed for plays or works showing a King or Queen
murdered were not permitted - and in those days the King James Bible was
called the murderers bible...note Mark 7..in the old Dragnet
Series, they always had the man's hand and hammer at the end - MARK 7,
and badge 714.

Bible is the book of lawKings and Queens executed using this book
for the authoritytoday a militant group of assassins dating back to
JFK murder by using bible as their authority..they meet at midnight
at times, and execute judgment.they are the law unto themselves.

Don't knock the jews? Why not? They wanted to be treated like
anybody else? Joe Lieberman is CFR.King in waiting, but he lost.
Jack Rubenstein Ruby murdered Oswald, but prior to this a black bordered
ad was circulated in Dallas giving the appearance people hated JFK down
there and his was not true.who put out this ad - a jew by the nam of
Weissman?

But consider Meyer Lansky, Jewish Mafia - the State of Israel did not
want this man back - the jews are now being divided and torn
apart.persecuted for 2,000 years for an execution they did not
commit - for it was the mob, that got Jesus - so who is the mob today?

I have no use for religion today - TV Preachers like Pat Robertson,
Jimmy Swaggart, Oral Roberts crying for money = once this poor man,
told people there would be a "Message From Heaven in 77"..well his
daughter Racheal as I recall was killed in 77 in a plane crash - leaving
two beautiful children - and I mean beautifulhe cried, saying
when he looked in the mirror to shave, the Devil was mocking him.

He did build a University and shared the wealth...but Pat Robertson,
God's Banker - the man who would be Pope -

So here are a few conspiracies in the bible - now none of the characters
involved had any influence in those days but the kings and queens and
princes..so none of these people would dare get into conspiracies,
for the fathers and mothers of all conspiracies would not permit this
..as Queen Elizabeth did to those who decided for themselvles when a
Queen or King should live and when they should die, like a modern day
propagandist as Jean Dixon who lost her divine status - laws and
proclamatiions demands the life of anyone engaged in such dangerous
activity as marking people for murder, by prophecy Dixon I
always said scored 3 hits by prophehcy.but in certain secret
societies - their underlings are told when someone is to be murdered -
and all make fast buck.

So here is short list of conspiracy..my favorite is the old King who
was onto it all for he was part of the conspiracies"did I not tell
you he would prophecy no good but evil to me".

CIA Director when introducing a book once referred to the story of
Darius in the biblein the night the King died.

John Birch Society was the only group of which I know, who believed
there was a conspiracy to murder JFK and this group was not about to be
labeled a Patsy.

So I still remember when Pat Robertson ran for President as a Holy
Manand the Bush whackers revealed he had had a shotgun marriage -
which then, was not so acceptable as it is now..nobody really gave a
crap - but it made - well it made shot gun weddings sort of a status
symbol in the Robertson camp.

So bus drivers and clerks cannot be conspiracy mindedand should
not participate in

I must send this story - for my old friend who was former OSP Colonel
and Chief of Police, who had me way back in 1969 send my material to
California to a friend of his - my house had been broken into and he
told me to be sure nobody entered again without my knowledge, to put a
newspaper by the door and sprinkle flour on it

Once when I visited his home, his wife was cleaning up flour by the door
and I really paid little attention to it.so you see police and
detectives do a lot of research for still the biggest conspiracies of
all are in the bible and the bible is the origin of nearly every secret
society in the world, from the Eagles Nest to the advent of an Adolph
Hitler - who had as I recall, a home in the Eagles Nest...

I still remembre the great eagle Challenger taking bite of Clinton much
to his chock.for an eagle knows the difference between a Buzzards
Nest and Eagles Nest.Long Live Challenger.

Now I reproduce this story from which there is great knowledge for
Daniel was a detective -

Only bus drivers and clerks, etc., are not supposed to be conspiracy

The King James Bible
at the Electronic Text Center, University of Virginia
Bel (Apocrypha), chapter 1
"1": And king Astyages was gathered to his fathers, and Cyrus of Persia
received his kingdom.
"2": And Daniel conversed with the king, and was honoured above all his
friends.
"3": Now the Babylons had an idol, called Bel, and there were spent upon
him every day twelve great measures of fine flour, and forty sheep, and
six vessels of wine.
"4": And the king worshipped it and went daily to adore it: but Daniel
worshipped his own God. And the king said unto him, Why dost not thou
worship Bel?
"5": Who answered and said, Because I may not worship idols made with
hands, but the living God, who hath created the heaven and the earth,
and hath sovereignty over all flesh.
"6": Then said the king unto him, Thinkest thou not that Bel is a living
God? seest thou not how much he eateth and drinketh every day?
"7": Then Daniel smiled, and said, O king, be not deceived: for this is
but clay within, and brass without, and did never eat or drink any
thing.
"8": So the king was wroth, and called for his priests, and said unto
them, If ye tell me not who this is that devoureth these expences, ye
shall die.
"9": But if ye can certify me that Bel devoureth them, then Daniel shall
die: for he hath spoken blasphemy against Bel. And Daniel said unto the
king, Let it be according to thy word.
"10": Now the priests of Bel were threescore and ten, beside their wives
and children. And the king went with Daniel into the temple of Bel.
"11": So Bel's priests said, Lo, we go out: but thou, O king, set on the
meat, and make ready the wine, and shut the door fast and seal it with
thine own signet;
"12": And to morrow when thou comest in, if thou findest not that Bel
hath eaten up all, we will suffer death: or else Daniel, that speaketh
falsely against us.
"13": And they little regarded it: for under the table they had made a
privy entrance, whereby they entered in continually, and consumed those
things.
"14": So when they were gone forth, the king set meats before Bel. Now
Daniel had commanded his servants to bring ashes, and those they strewed
throughout all the temple in the presence of the king alone: then went
they out, and shut the door, and sealed it with the king's signet, and
so departed.
"15": Now in the night came the priests with their wives and children,
as they were wont to do, and did eat and drinck up all.
"16": In the morning betime the king arose, and Daniel with him.
"17": And the king said, Daniel, are the seals whole? And he said, Yea,
O king, they be whole.
"18": And as soon as he had opened the dour, the king looked upon the
table, and cried with a loud voice, Great art thou, O Bel, and with thee
is no deceit at all.
"19": Then laughed Daniel, and held the king that he should not go in,
and said, Behold now the pavement, and mark well whose footsteps are
these.
"20": And the king said, I see the footsteps of men, women, and
children. And then the king was angry,
"21": And took the priests with their wives and children, who shewed him
the privy doors, where they came in, and consumed such things as were
upon the table.
"22": Therefore the king slew them, and delivered Bel into Daniel's
power, who destroyed him and his temple.
"23": And in that same place there was a great dragon, which they of
Babylon worshipped.
"24": And the king said unto Daniel, Wilt thou also say that this is of
brass? lo, he liveth, he eateth and drinketh; thou canst not say that he
is no living god: therefore worship him.
"25": Then said Daniel unto the king, I will worship the Lord my God:
for he is the living God.
"26": But give me leave, O king, and I shall slay this dragon without
sword or staff. The king said, I give thee leave.
"27": Then Daniel took pitch, and fat, and hair, and did

Nun hacked to death in church rampage
By Richard Eden

A NUN was hacked to death and 12 worshippers were injured
yesterday when a group of men wielding machetes stormed a
Roman Catholic cathedral in the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
The attackers made their way to the altar in Castries Cathedral, in
the former British colony's capital, where they set fire to the priest,
Father Charles Gaillard, and injured an altar server.

"It was like a scene from hell," said one of the worshippers, Cletus
Springer, who was returning to his seat after receiving Holy
Communion when he heard wailing and screams from the back of
the church.

Mr Springer, a local newspaper columnist, said: "I looked up and
saw flames. The church was in flames. People were scampering
here and there. I saw four men methodically going around setting
people on fire, chopping people."

More than 400 people were attending Mass, with many of them
lined up in the aisles to receive Holy Communion, when the
attackers entered the church. Worshippers pounced on one of the
intruders and held him until police arrived, but three other men
escaped. The motive for the attack was unclear.

Mr Springer said the attackers appeared calm. He said: "You could
say they were possessed the way they went about it, so
methodically, purposefully, calmly setting people ablaze, chopping
people."

Police were questioning the man they arrested, Chris John, last
night and were searching for three other suspects. The nun who
died was named as Sister Mel.

You can step on anything and everything but a true Christian. It is

  You poor, Biblically illiterate soul.

And what is 'Biblically illiterate' by the statement that 'the God of the
Bible...murders babies'?

Seems to me the OT is full of such examples...either Yahweh doing the
dirty work Himself (as in Sodom and
Gomorrah -- where EVERYONE, including children and babies, were killed),
or his 'Chosen People' do so via
direct commandment from God (any number of existing communities being
slaughtered as the Hebrews take over
Canaan, etc.)...time and again, the Hebrew army is commanded to kill
everyone and everything, not just their
enemy army...they are commanded to go into the enemy city and kill all the
women, elderly, children, infants,
 even all the animals...

Anyone who claims otherwise is the one who is biblically illiterate...

Also, it shows what hypocrites those who oppose abortion on supposed
biblical principles are, since they claim
that abortion is 'killing babies', and yet the OT is full of cases of
Yahweh not only approving of, but
actually demanding, that His 'Chosen People' do just that...

Ex-Sen. Alan Cranston Dies at 86

By JUSTIN PRITCHARD, Associated Press Writer

SAN FRANCISCO--Former Sen. Alan Cranston of California, a nuclear
arms control activist who ended a 24 -year Senate career in 1993 under
the cloud of the savings and loan industry scandal, died Sunday at 86.

Cranston died at his home in Los Altos, said his son Kim, who
said he found him slumped over a sink. The cause of death wasn't
immediately known, though Cranston had been taking antibiotics and had
recently had trouble maintaining his balance.

After Cranston's retirement from Congress, the Democrat largely
dropped out of publics view. But he continued to champion the cause of
nuclear arms control, which had been the centerpiece of his political
career and his 1984 campaign for president.

In 1996, he entered the private-sector to work on nuclear
disarmament, first as chairman of the Gorbachev Foundation USA and
more recently as president of the Global Security Institute, both
San-Francisco based think tanks.

"Sen. Cranston's lifelong dedication to peace in the world and
nuclear arms reduction have been inspirational to me," said Democratic
Sen. Barbara Boxer, who took over Cranston's seat. "My heart goes out
to his family."

"He was a tireless worker for peace and disarmament and quite
frankly, there's never been a more consistent voice in that arena,"
said State Democratic Party Chairman Art Torres.

California's Democratic Gov. Gray Davis said in a statement:
"Anyone who knew Alan will remember him with respect and affection."

When Cranston announced in 1990 that he wouldn't seek a fifth
Senate term, he cited his diagnosis of prostate cancer. However, at
the time, his approval rating had plunged to a record low due to the
savings and loan scandal and his relationship with Lincoln Savings
Loan President Charles Keating, who had just been indicted on
securities fraud charges.

A Senate Ethics Committee investigation later led to a formal
reprimand of Cranston and sanctions against four other senators, known
as "The Keating Five," for intervening with federal regulators on
Keating's behalf.

Cranston, who received nearly $1.2 million in political funds
from Keating, initially insisted he had been "politically stupid" but
ethically correct to intervene.

While he ultimately agreed to a finding that he had "engaged in
an impermissible pattern of conduct in which fund raising and official
activities were substantially linked in connection with Mr. Keating
and Lincoln," he remained defiant.

In his final response to the reprimand on the Senate floor in
1991, Cranston declared that his actions "were not fundamentally
different from the actions of many other senators."

The remark clouded the former majority whip and No. 2 Senate
Democrat's relationship with his Senate colleagues, and Cranston's
reputation as a champion of liberal activism and progressive reform
never recovered from the scandal.

In a 1996 interview, Cranston said: "I don't feel any need for
redemption."

"I'm satisfied with what I did in the Senate," he said. "I don't
look back. I look forward."

Cranston said in a 1985 speech that he chose to serve in the
Senate "because there I can work on the issues of war and peace, and
the environment, and justice, and opportunity."

It's "where I kept the commitment I made in my 1968 campaign and

December 31 2000
UNITED STATES

Bush to pull US troops out of Balkans
Tom Rhodes, New York

IN A MOVE certain to upset his European allies, George W Bush
plans to begin withdrawing American peacekeepers from the
Balkans shortly after he moves into the White House next month.

Senior advisers to the Republican president-elect have told The
Sunday Times that America will have removed all 10,000 of its
ground troops from Bosnia and Kosovo within four years, leaving
only logistical and intelligence teams behind.

John Hulsman, a conservative analyst tapped as a Balkans adviser
for the new administration, said Bush was concerned about
"imperial overstretch" - a buzzword within the new national security
team for America's involvement in "nation building" abroad during
the presidency of Bill Clinton.

"There will be a philosophical sea change when Bush is in the
White House," Hulsman said. "As soon as he arrives, there will be
a drawing down of American forces and after four years there will
be no American ground troops in the Balkans."

Hulsman, who works at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative
think tank in Washington, advised the president-elect on Balkans
policy during his campaign for the White House. He said there was
growing scepticism inside the Bush camp about humanitarian
missions that were not in the American national interest.

Richard Perle, a former assistant defence secretary under
President Ronald Reagan and an even more senior adviser to
Bush, said questions were being asked about America's true role
in the region.

Perle said incoming members of the national security team,
including Condoleezza Rice, General Colin Powell, the next
secretary of state, and Donald Rumsfeld, appointed last week as
defence secretary, were unhappy with some of the tasks being
given to fighting troops in the field.

Some in the 82nd Airborne, the crack parachute division, for
example, had been acting as kindergarten escorts and social
workers. "I think they will look at what the soldiers are spending
their time doing and whether that is appropriate for American
troops," he said.

Perle insisted any pullout would not take place without consultation
with allies. He speculated that German forces might shoulder the
brunt of future regional responsibilities.

The first hint of a withdrawal came in October, shortly before the
American election, when Rice spoke of a "new division of labour" in
the Balkans, requiring Europeans to "step up to their
responsibilities".

Lord Robertson, the Nato secretary-general, telephoned the Bush
camp shortly afterwards and said he had been assured by the
Republican's advisers that no such move was afoot.

Powell said after his nomination earlier this month, however, that
he would undertake a review of all deployments soon after Bush's
inauguration on January 20.

"We're going to consult to see if we can find ways that are less of a
burden," he said of the missions in Kosovo and Bosnia. "We're not
cutting and running."

For all the talk of consultation and reviews, plans are already being
drafted to begin part of the withdrawal shortly after Bush enters the
White House.

Hulsman said the first of the 5,500 troops in Kosovo and 4,500 in
Bosnia could be brought home within months in what would be a
symbolic change of policy in Washington.

Under one proposal, the new administration would inform Nato at
the end of next month that its eventual goal was to turn over entire
responsibility for peacekeeping troops to its European allies.
America would agree to provide continued but limited logistical and
intelligence assistance to the Nato mission in the Balkans.

The proposal can only add to fears among allies already anxious
about the implications of a Bush presidency for European security.
Concerns centre on the president-elect's determination to build a
"son of star wars" missile defence system.

Bush has said he wants a system that would include America's
allies. Britain and other countries are worried it could have a
destabilising effect by violating the 1972 US-Soviet anti-ballistic
missile treaty, under which both sides agreed limits to defensive
shields.

Bush's resolve to press ahead with the project has been confirmed
by the appointment of Rumsfeld, who oversaw a commission two
years ago that concluded that rogue nations could threaten
America with ballistic missiles sooner than analysts predicted.

The Foreign Office yesterday declined to comment on any likely
changes in American Balkan policy. One British diplomat in the
region warned, however, that even if Bush wanted a significant
drawdown of troops it would be difficult to win the approval of his
Nato partners. "We've always thought the American role is
essential," he said.

In France opinion on American involvement has always been more
divided, with many military officers opposed to Washington's
dominant influence in peacekeeping.

Archaeologists' dig at Cumberland Island site unearths significant
part of Georgia history

Web posted Jun. 29 at 12:18 AM
By Gordon Jackson
Morris News Service

CUMBERLAND ISLAND, Ga. -- A group of 27 chimneys jutting
from the ground like monoliths are the only visible evidence of a
slave community that once thrived on Cumberland Island.

As many as 300 slaves lived in the community until they were freed
at the end of the Civil War, but much of what is known about the
life of blacks on the island has not been documented.

An archaeological dig in the past six weeks at the site called The
Chimneys, however, has revealed a wealth of information to
researchers. In fact, archaeologists say the site is one of the most
significant and well-preserved slave settlements anywhere.

``It's very unusual to find a site in this good of a state,'' said David
Brewer, an archaeologist with the National Park Service. ``This is
one of the best unexcavated sites in the world.''

The main goal for the archaeologists is preserving the chimneys,
but they had to dig first to check out the land surrounding the
structures.

The property has been held by private landowners for years and
has not been disturbed by any development. It has been under the
protection of the National Park Service since the island was
declared a national seashore in 1972.

``You just don't find a site like this anymore,'' said John Cornelison
Jr., a park service archaeologist.

Despite only digging around five of the 27 chimneys because of
limited funding, the project has answered many questions about life
on the island among slaves, researchers said.

For instance, the archaeologists uncovered evidence that the
slaves were segregated by marital status and gender - with married
couples living in one part of the village, single men in another area
and single women in another.

The dig also revealed the slaves' quarters were segregated by job
skills as well, with overseers living in different areas from laborers
or craftsmen.

A large number of gun flints found at the site indicate the slaves
had weapons so they could hunt for food on the island, Mr.
Cornelison said. A large number of buttons from military uniforms
found show the slaves wore surplus uniforms as clothing, he said.

Researchers could also determine much about life in the village by
what they didn't find.

``We found no manacles or anything else ,'' Mr. Cornelison said.
``We generally believe Robert Stafford treated his slaves pretty
good, as good as you can treat somebody you are holding against
their will.''

Of course, there weren't many places for slaves to go on the island
and they had little or no contact with the outside world, Mr.
Cornelison said.

The researchers also have been able to dispel a rumor that Mr.
Stafford, who grew cotton on the island, burned down the slaves'
cabins in anger after the Civil War ended.

There is no evidence of ashes indicating the cabins had been
burned.

Mr. Stafford was born on the island in 1790 and lived there until he
died in 1877. He inherited the land from his father, Thomas
Stafford, who settled on the island prior to 1783, said John Mitchell,
museum curator for the Cumberland Island National Seashore
Museum.

There is no reference to the area being called The Chimneys until
after the island was designated a national seashore, which
indicates the name was likely coined by the park service, Mr.
Mitchell said.

Other items found at the site include pipe stems, hand-painted
marbles, bottles, ornate pottery shards, an 1819 half dollar, fishing
weights, a metal lice comb, a broach and an earring.

   FROM MOUNTAIN MEDIA
   THE LIBERTARIAN, By Vin Suprynowicz
   Corporate toadies to the last

Ever mindful of the wishes of their corporate backers, the Clinton
administration first balked at the bill proposed by Sen. James Jeffords,
R-Vt., to allow the re-importation of U.S.-manufactured pharmaceuticals
which sell at lower prices overseas.

(U.S. prices for popular arthritis, depression, and cholesterol-lowering
medications are often 30 to 50 percent higher than in other nations -- even
after factoring in the cost of shipment.)

But the idea of allowing pharmacies to re-import the less expensive drugs
won bipartisan congressional approval when Democrats and Republicans proved
unable to agree on any more comprehensive scheme to federally subsidize
prescription drugs, particularly for the elderly (an expenditure which, for
the record, the Congress has no constitutional authority whatever.)

Faced with widespread popular support for the re-import measure,
President Clinton finally signed it, praising GOP congressional leaders at
the time for agreeing "in the face of the drug companies' opposition, to
give Americans access to prescription drugs that are cheaper in other
countries."

But implementation procedures contained a loophole -- they were subject
to an OK from the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

And guess what? Tuesday, outgoing HHS Secretary Donna Shalala -- think
there's any chance of landing some hefty new drug research grants down at
the U of Miami next year, Madame Secretary? -- again placed the ongoing
pharmaceutical industry protection racket above the ability of America's
poor and elderly to buy affordable prescription medicines, announcing she
would not even request the $23 million appropriated to start the program
because "Flaws and loopholes ... make it impossible for me to demonstrate
that it is safe and cost effective."

 Humbug. If it's not cost-effective, pharmacies simply won't re-import.
But how could it not be cost-effective to re-import drugs which sell at
half price overseas? And as for safety -- does the Secretary imply she's
allowing U.S. manufacturers to ship out unsafe drugs to our foreign friends
and allies?

The great Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises -- whose English was far
from perfect in the early years after he immigrated here -- once halted a
discussion between Murray Rothbard and others of his New York students to
ask "What is this word 'loophole' you keep using?" When the young Americans
had finished explaining the colloquialism, von Mises sagely observed, "Ah.
So you call it a 'loophole' when the government still allows you some
freedom."

A theoretical objection can be raised that by re-importing these drugs,
Americans to some extent embrace the anti-free-market price caps
imposed by more or less fascist foreign governments. But no one forces
the drug firms to sell overseas under those conditions -- if they're not
making a profit, they can refuse to export there, in the first place.

All forms of competition work to the advantage of the consumer --
including the breakdown of arbitrary price supports imposed by the
government's monopoly on armed force through arbitrary bans on
"re-importation."

The real question is why millions of dollars need to be spent simply to
tear down these protectionist tariff walls, allowing U.S. pharmacies to
re-import any drug which meets their own safety standards. Clearly, the
extra tens of millions are for hundreds of new inspectors to make sure
we're not allowed too much commercial freedom ... when the real
solution would be to declare all pharmaceutical imports duty free on
humanitarian grounds, from penicillin to Prozac, from coca leaves to Indian
hemp.

Thank goodness this current batch of corporate toadies -- any more Tyson
Chicken executives in need of pardons, Mr. President? Any more convicted
cocaine smugglers to whom you'd like to restore the right to carry a
handgun? -- will be gone inside a month. Perhaps Mr. Bush's nominees can do
a little better.

Funny Money
A whole new meaning for 'local' currency
Monday, October 16, 2000
By Michael Y. Park

NEW YORK — The money Paul Glover uses at the local hardware
store in Ithaca, N.Y., doesn't have any dead presidents on it.

In Ithaca we trust: Ithaca Hours are used only in upstate New York.
Instead, the graphic artist hands over a couple of odd-looking bills
in maize yellow and acid green — currency he made himself.
And instead of calling the police, the clerk behind the register
takes the money and hands back strange bills of his own, this time
in pumpkin orange and powder blue.

In fact, Glover might actually spend his whole day without touching
a U.S. Federal Reserve note, those ratty greenbacks that are so
boring it's a notable cultural event when Ben Franklin gets a face-lift.
The money he uses is called Ithaca Hours, and it's the most
successful example of a trend that's been spreading across the
country over the past nine years: local currencies.

From Bread to Greenbacks

Since Ithaca Hours started up in 1991 — the first attempt at a local
currency since 1972 — more than 60 local money systems have
sprouted up across the country, almost all circumscribed to a
specific region and helped along with the assistance of local
merchants, consumers and chambers of commerce. In Brooklyn,
N.Y.,they're Greenbacks; in New Orleans, it's Mo Money; in
Berkeley, Calif., it'sBread.

Proponents of local currencies see them as an ideal way to keep
money and people in the area. Ithaca Hours, for example, must be
used in a 20-mileradius of Ithaca, with the idea that whoever uses
them will support neighborhood shops instead of, say, New York
City merchants.

And it's perfectly legal to print your own money as long as it
doesn't resemble U.S. dollars and can be exchanged with regular
dollars.
"By using local currencies, you're saying, 'I support local
businesses,'" Susan Witt, executive director of the E.F.
Schumacher Society, said. "The consumer is taking responsibility
for his community."

Mo money, mo problems? This currency is traded in New Orleans.
The E.F. Schumacher Society is a Great Barrington, Mass.-based
non-profit organization that pushes for local currencies and
ecologically based community development.

Glover, who had studied city management and economics, started
the Hours system when he noticed the devastating effects of the
1990-1991 recession on central New York.

"All my friends had a lot of skills that were not being utilized by the
formal economy, and they had time that they would have been
pleased to translate into cash," he said.

So Glover came up with the idea of a money based not on precious
metals or the U.S. economy but on labor, or work-hours,with one
hour of work being equivalent to $10. Local businesses quickly
jumped on board, and by the end of the decade, 460 area
businesses accepted and dispensed Ithaca Hours, thousands of
users put them in their wallets and purses and millions of dollars
worth of Hours had traded hands, according to Glover.

Psychological Boost or Real Benefit?

The American Liberty Dollar: back to the gold standard.
Economist Ralph C. Bryant, senior fellow in economics at the
Brookings Institute, wasn't sure it was more than a psychological
boost.

"I think these ideas are not helpful to the people there and are an
illusion," he said. "We don’t have S H green stamps anymore, do
we?"

Critics notwithstanding, the Hour model has inspired more than the
Ithacans. All the way in Honolulu, Hawaii, retired architect Bernard
von NotHaus has created a silver- and gold-backed currency that
he hopes may eventually lead to the repeal of the Federal Reserve
system.

His group, of course, is called the National Organization for the
Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and Internal Revenue Code, or
NORFED.

He sees the NORFED American Liberty Dollar — backed by a
cache of gold and silver — as the kind of currency the Founding
Fathers intended the nation to use, and as something that will
strengthen the economy not just of small regions but the entire
United States.

The AL Dollars are to be traded at a one-to-one exchange rate with
the "dreaded Federal Reserve note."

The U.S. took its currency entirely off the gold standard in 1971.
Since then, von NotHaus said, the country might have gotten
weaker, but if anything proves that America and freedom have a
chance in the future, it's local currencies and the right of people to
make their own money.

"Liberty knows no bounds," he said. "And liberty's popping up all
over the place — in the form of American Liberty Dollars!"

What a sad, dismal life to have nothing to believe in.

Everybody believes in something. I believe in doubt. I keep track of how
many times I believe something and it turns out later it was the right
thing to do. I also keep track of how many times I doubt something and
it turns out later that was the right thing to do. I compare the two.
Doubt wins hands down.

The desire to believe is part of our basic human nature. It saves us
from having to think for ourselves. But when we do think for ourselves,
we are far more likely to arrive at the truth. This is work, often hard
work, and sometimes very unpleasant. The truth is pretty scary
sometimes. And, yes, sometimes it is sad and dismal. But it is what it
is and must be dealt with as such. The alternative is delusion. Clinging
to delusions, especially to willful self delusions, is an anti-survival
strategy. This world can be a truly nasty place sometimes. Sometimes the
nastiest parts appear on the surface to be nothing but sweetness and
light. Don't believe it. Look beneath the surface. Not every sheepskin
holds a sheep.

[CTRL] Fwd: There'll Be No Civil Liberties At The International Criminal Court

2001-01-01 Thread kl

-Caveat Lector-

There'll Be No Civil Liberties At The International
Criminal Court
By Ted Galen Carpenter

http://www.cato.org/dailys/12-27-00.html
 12-31-00
Ted Galen Carpenter is vice president for defense and
foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. He is the
editor of "NATO's Empty Victory: A Postmortem on the
Balkan War" and the author of "Beyond NATO: Staying Out
of Europe's Wars."

Proponents of the new International Criminal Court are
again pressuring the United States to join that
institution as it is about to become operational.
The latest salvo is an editorial in the Washington Post
urging the lame-duck Clinton administration to sign the
treaty establishing the Court before the signature-
deadline passes on Dec. 31. The New York Times
editorial page has said the same and urged the
administration to forward the document to the
Senate for ratification.

The Post pressed the idea that America must take steps
to support the Court -symbolically or practically- or
risk offending other nations. Typically, the Times
focused on rebutting Pentagon fears that, if the United
States becomes a member, American military personnel
might someday be hauled before the Court and accused of
war crimes. Dismissing such concerns as misplaced,
the Times (along with most ICC supporters) pretends as
though that is the only objection to the Court. In
reality, the Pentagon's fears are the least
of the problems with the ICC.

The Criminal Court is a horrific institution from the
standpoint of civil liberties. It would make a mockery
of even the most basic due process guarantees. We have
already had a glimpse of the probable abuses from the
operation of the ICC's predecessors, the special war
crimes tribunals in the Balkans and Rwanda.

Rights that Americans take for granted would be greatly
diluted or absent entirely in ICC trials. For example,
there is no right to a trial by an impartial jury. A
verdict is rendered by majority vote of a panel of
appointed judges. Thus, a 3-2 vote could doom a
defendant to a lengthy prison term - in some cases even
a life term.

If that were not bad enough, some - perhaps all- of the
judges on a panel might come from countries where there
is no concept of an independent judiciary or a
tradition of fair trials. A defendant could even face
jurists who were officials in regimes that were openly
biased against his government or political movement.

It gets worse. There is no protection against double
jeopardy. If a defendant is acquitted of charges, the
prosecutor's office can appeal the verdict to an
appellate body within the ICC. A hapless defendant
could be subjected to prosecution for the same offense
again, and again, and again.

Nor is there any guarantee of either a speedy or a
public trial. The Court could hold indicted individuals
for months or even years before judicial proceedings
get underway. The Yugoslavia war crimes tribunal has
held sessions behind closed doors - supposedly to
protect the privacy of alleged victims of war crimes.

Such nonpublic sessions underscore perhaps the worst
feature of the ICC.

The right of defendants to confront their accusers is
highly conditional. The Court would have the authority
to conceal the identity of witnesses whenever it deemed
that step to be appropriate.

That is an especially pernicious dilution of due
process standards. Frequently, the ability to rebut
testimony depends on knowledge of the witness' identity
and background. Such knowledge may yield important clues
about possible personal malice, a history of
prevarication, or a hidden financial or ideological
agenda. Without that knowledge, cross-examination
must be conducted in an informational vacuum, and a
defense attorney operates at an impossible
disadvantage.

Most opponents of the Criminal Court in this country
stress that we should not want to risk having Americans
tried before such a tribunal. That is a valid but
secondary point. People who value civil liberties and
due process of law should not want anyone tried before
such a tribunal.

You thumb your nose at the fact that Jesus spoke in parables???
The answer is in your Bible... oh wise one.

The witness of Jesus' words by Matthew, Mark and John,
"And the disciples came unto Him and said unto Him,
Why speakest you to them in parables?
He answered unto them, 'Because it is given unto you to
know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them, it is not given." ~Matthew 13:10-11

Just another reason why we do not throw pearls before swine.
They have no appreciation for the truth, and trample it into the dust.

Introduction
On a planet with abundant ecosystem production and high technology there is
no justification for pollution or poverty. The origin of our dilemma is the
dated assumption that it is human effort and not nature that makes our basic
commodities. This error was monetized during in the industrial age when
economics was defined as the social science that dealt with the production,
distribution and consumption of manufactured wealth, and with its related
problems of labor, taxation and finance. Today we know ecosystems make our
basic commodities and economics is in fact the natural science that deals
with the production, distribution and recycling of ecoproduct wealth. The
conflict between our medium of exchange and nature can be resolved by
replacing different private bank notes that mortgage the private value of
manufactured wealth with ecocredit that stores the public value of ecoproduct
wealth.
Welcome to the Global Resource Bank
The GRB is a direct democratic institution
You own a share in the Bank as your birthright

e is the GRB ecocredit sign, as e1,000,000,000,000 equals one trillion
ecocredits

The creation of GRB ecocredit is subject to ecoproduction outside national
jurisdiction. Ecocredit is backed by the goods and services produced,
distributed and recycled by ecosystems owned by the shareholders. It stores
the life-supporting value of light, heat, hydro, wind and biochemical energy,
ozone, carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen, genetic and biological
diversity, and the proteins, sugars, starches, minerals and water produced in
the global commons. The electronic issue of ecocredit is divided equally
among shareholder accounts to utilize as a global medium of exchange that
simplifies trade.

=

Shareholder Income
The GRB earns income from an account service charge. To stop pollution the
amount is related to the size of the account's ecofootprint. To end poverty
the Bank divides most of its income equally among its shareholders. The
Bank's shareholders earn their income by investing in ecoproduction. These
investments increase the Bank's reserve of ecocredit and Earth's capacity to
support life.
Shareholder Communication
Telecommunications makes vital information available to everyone. However,
cost is a restriction. Therefore, the Bank pays for global
telecommunications.
Exchange Capital
To simplify the conversion from bank notes to ecocredit the GRB exchanges
ecocredit for central bank notes and ecoproduction inside national
jurisdiction.

shareholder
shareholder
shareholder
shareholder
shareholder
Greenspan
This exchange makes shareholder Greenspan smile because it capitalizes the
financial services industry with ecocredit and gives it open market access to
more than six billion prosperous customers.
Start Up
On opening day the shareholders agree to value the Bank's gross ecoproduct
wealth at 6,000 trillion ecocredits. Half of these are issued to the
communication, capital exchange and six billion shareholder accounts. The
balance is reserved to capitalize the increasing population. The shareholders
direct the Bank via the Internet. The current GRB is equal to the
shareholder's average yearly evaluation of its gross ecoproduct wealth. They
set the division of Bank income between the communication and shareholder
accounts and decide what percentage of their income they invest in
ecoproduction. The Bank displays the number of shareholders who chose the
Bank's manager and amendments to its charter.

Global Resource Bank Charter
The United People of Earth charter the Global Resource Bank to earn
economic security by taking responsibility for Earth's ecosystem.
Operating System
SHAREHOLDERS own one non-transferable share in the Bank as a birthright. The
Bank is directed by the shareholders.
ACCESS to the Bank is by toll-free telecommunications.
GRB is Earth's environment outside national jurisdiction. Shareholders value
its current gross ecoproduct wealth at 6,000 trillion ecocredits. Ecocredits
have the buying power of January 1, 2001 Federal Reserve notes.
COMMUNICATION CAPITAL of 500 trillion ecocredits is issued to the
Communication Account to pay for opening telecommunications.
EXCHANGE CAPITAL of 700 trillion ecocredits is issued to the Capital Exchange
Account. These ecocredits are exchanged for ecoproduction inside national
jurisdiction and central bank notes issued prior to January 1, 2002.
SHAREHOLDER CAPITAL of 41 ecocredits a day is issued to Shareholder Accounts.
This issue begins with shareholder registration and continues for twenty
years. Shareholders invest 10% of their capital in ecoproduction. After one
year of inactivity account balances revert to the GRB Reserve.
GRB INCOME comes from an account service charge which is deposited in the GRB
Income Account. This account exchanges ecocredit with the GRB

So Eagle here are two beautiful psalms linked to ritual murder of
Kennedys - timed to bible calendar and code..you see the wounding of
heads over many country and that means like Lanskey and Marcello, Mafia
said - RFK is the tail, get the dog and aim for the head.more wag
the dog?

So Walter Lippman CFR/Roundtable quoted from this psalm and an old AP
reporter sent me copy of his "sermon"..taking from the 109th psalm
he said "surely the democrats will be punished and their offices taken
away" and then they tried to murder Teddy having just murdered RFK
and vendetta style they bloted the John Fizgerald Kennedy line out of
book.

These are such lovely psalms but they have a tough time explaining the
109th and 110th psalms the psalms authorizing execution of your enemies.

King James Murderer's BIBLE? You better believe it...read on and
find the high hills of Bashan and remember Gerald of Og symbolized King
Og whom Moses murdered to get to promised land, but then Moses was
knocked of on Mt. Nebo.never found his body..first FITZGERALD
was GERALD OF OG...so what other unsolved murders lay within the
murderers bible - timed to go off this year? 3 Presidents again and 3
Popes maybe? Maybe the BLACK POPE.the destruction of the Catholic
Church by the Red Shirts?

BIBLE is full of ritual murder and direct commands to murder all
witnesses who might appeara before a Judge in any court so now count
body bags from JFK to Clinton and see who survived.

-Caveat Lector-

The Dallas Morning News, 31 December 2000

Dear George W. Bush:

I am writing to you as a citizen of our planet and someone who beholds
the last remaining superpower. Can there be any doubt that the United
States plays a major role in guiding our world? Only a fool could
disregard that fact. To acknowledge this is a given, even though
American spokesmen are perhaps somewhat overly inclined to press the
point home to the rest of the world.

For while America's role is acknowledged throughout the world, her claim
to hegemony, not to say domination, is not similarly recognized. For
this reason, I hope, Mr. Bush, as the new American president, that you
will give up any illusion that the 21st century can, or even should, be
the "American Century". Globalization is a given -- but "American
globalization" would be a mistake. In fact, it would be something
devoid of meaning and even dangerous.

I would go even further and say it is time for America's electorate to
be told the blunt truth : that the present situation of the United
States, by which a part of its population is able to enjoy a life of
extraordinary comfort and privilege, is not tenable over the long run as
long as an enormous portion of the world lives in abject poverty,
degradation and backwardness.

For 10 years, U.S. foreign policy has been formulated as if it were the
policy of a victor in war, the Cold War. But at the highest reaches of
U.S. policy-making no one has grasped the fact that this could not be
the basis for formulating post-Cold War policy.

In fact, there has been no "pacification". On the contrary, there has
been a heightening of inequalities, tension nd hostility, with most of
the last directed toward the United States.

Instead of seeing an increase in U.S. security, the end of the Cold War
has seen a decline. It is not hard to imagine that, should the United
States persist in its policies, the international situation will
continue to deteriorate.

It is also difficult to believe that, under present circumstances,
relations between the United States, on the one hand, and China, India
and all the rest of the earth that lives in abject poverty, on the
other, could develop in a positive direction. Nor is it possible, on
the basis of its present posture, for the United States to establish
effective, long-run cooperation with its traditional allies, Europe
first and foremost.

Already we see the outburst of numerous trade disputes, evidence of the
conflicting interests separating the United States and the European
Union. For example, at the recent global warming conference in the
Netherlands the United States found itself largely in isolation. U.S.
positions were far removed from those of all others, including the
Europeans. As a result, no decision was taken. This is clearly an
example of a failure of "world governance".

From the standpoint of the Old World, the post-Cold War period ushered
in hopes that now are faded. Over the course of the past decade, the
United States has continued to opearate along an ideological track
identical to the one it followed during the Cold War -- but now without
the Cold War.

Need an example? The expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization eastward, the military theory and practice of U.S.
rearmament -- including the latest and utterly extravagant anti-missile
national defense system, which, in turn, is based on the truly bizarre
notion of so-called rogue states.

Isn't it amazing that disarmament moved further along during the last
phase of the Cold War than during the period after its end? And isn't
that because U.S. leadership has been unable to adjust to the new
European reality? Like it or not, the new reality has placed Europe on
the world scene as a new, independent and powerful player. To continue
to regard it as a junior partner would be a mistake.

Finally, as concerns Russia, the fact that relations between the United
States and Russia have deteriorated over the course of recent years is
hardly a secret. Resonsibility for this state of affairs must be shared
between Russian and American leadership.

The present leadership of Russia appears ready to cooperate with the
United States in framing a new agenda for relations. But it is unclear
what your orientation will be. What we heard during the electoral
campaign did not sound encouraging.

If we truly want to build a new world order and further European unity,
we have to recognize that that will not be possible without an active
role on the part of Russia. This recognition is the necessary basis for
setting future Russian-American relations on the right path.

In more general terms, we need to bear in mind that the world is
complicated, that it contains and expresses a variety of interests and
cultures. Sooner or later, international policy, including that of the
United States, will have to come to terms with that variety.

Sincerely,
Mikhail Gorbachev
President, The Gorbachev Foundation,

[CTRL] Fwd: [CIA-DRUGS] One of the best sources on Bush

2001-01-01 Thread Kris Millegan

http://www.geocities.com/alanjpakula/triplecrown.html

America's First Families
In the nearly three decades since the New Right movement began, the main
objective has been for the Right Wing Elite to extend their influence
throughout the higher levels of our society. These leaders of the New Right
include (notorious Clinton hater) Richard Mellon Scaife, Paul Weyrich and the
Coors, DeVos (Amway), Hunt (Oil), Koch (Oil), Krieble (Loctite), Noble, Olin
Van Andel (Amway) families. In fact, oilman George Bush Sr. comes from this
very same class of people. His tenure as CIA Director is but a small part of
a long history with the Intelligence community, which has included Richard
Mellon Scaife, and the other New Right leaders. It is highly unlikely that
Bush would have been appointed CIA Director, without some prior experience
within the Agency. Indeed, there have been reports that Bush was possibly a
CIA operative since at least 1960.

What's more, the Bush Family's CIA affiliation appears to originate with the
OSS, the WWII Agency that preceded the CIA. Robert Lovett, the business
partner of Bush's father Prescott, was an OSS Officer, along with Mellon
Scaife's father Alan and their Mellon relatives. In fact, Paul Mellon was the
OSS Station Chief in London. Prescott could not (officially at least) be
involved in the OSS, since he was a Director of Union Banking. It was a major
embarrassment for the Bush Family, when in 1942 Union Banking's assets were
seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act, for collaborating with Nazi
industrialists. [1] . (A few weeks later, another Bush venture had its assets
seized as well).

After the war, Prescott's partner Lovett headed a Committee bearing his name
that recommended the creation of the CIA as the descendant of the OSS.
Averell Harriman, another of Prescott's partners at "Brown Brothers
Harriman", was likewise directly involved with the CIA. Given that many of
Prescott Bush's cronies enjoyed a long association with the Agency, it is
likely that Prescott was involved with the CIA as well. (Those interested in
looking more deeply into the elite roots of the OSS and the CIA should read
about Yale's "Skull and Bones" society -- a.k.a "the Bonesmen" [2] ).

In the seventies, while George Bush Sr. was in the wings for the CIA
Directorship, Richard Mellon Scaife ran Forum World Features, a CIA front for
a European propaganda operation. There are also reports that Scaife was
likely involved in the Heritage Foundation's funding of Iran-Contra, along
with Heritage President Edwin Feulner. Contrary to what he still declares to
this day, then-Vice President Bush Sr. was clearly "in the loop" of
Iran-Contra, as Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger's notes demonstrated.
Furthermore, Admiral John Poindexter claimed that he conferred directly with
Bush about the Iran-Contra scheme. Also, Bush and his assistant Donald Gregg
communicated regularly with Felix Rodriguez, the notorious ex-CIA agent at
the heart of the Contra Supply operation [See Lawrence Walsh's "Firewall",
W.W. Norton Co., 1997; pp. 271-272]. In recent years, the CIA Inspector
General's Report confirmed that the Contras were trafficking in cocaine,
under the watch of Oliver North and the CIA [3] . There is strong evidence
that the Contras used North's planes (financed in part by Joe Coors) for
their drug-running. Although a Congressional investigation into
Contra-Cocaine was recently concluded, there remain lingering questions about
the role North's team and the CIA played in this enterprise. [Click here to
go beyond the headlines -- What the recent Congressional Investigations
actually revealed].

During this period, both Presidents Reagan and Bush appointed Mellon Scaife
to the US Advisory Committee for Public Diplomacy, which oversaw the US
Information Agency. A key component of the White House Spin Machine, the USIA
worked hand in hand with Walter Raymond's interagency propaganda operation.
The mission of Raymond's outfit (code-named "Project Truth") was to
manipulate US public opinion in favor of the Reagan-Bush foreign policies.
[See Robert Parry's "Lost History" for details [4] ]. In 1983, the USIA's
director, Charles Z. Wick, held a fundraiser in support of the Iran-Contra
activities. With the help of Scaife's lieutenants, Wick collected over
$400,000 in private funds from the likes of the Smith Richardson and Olin
Foundations [5] . [Also, see the National Security Archive's "Iran-Contra
Collection", May 1983]. Later, Frank Shakespeare, yet another Heritage board
member, served as the USIA's Director.

Ultimately, President George Bush dealt the final blow to Independent Counsel
Lawrence Walsh's prosecution of the Iran-Contra affair. Less than a month
before leaving office, Bush pardoned Caspar Weinberger and the other
defendants awaiting trial. Bush also issued sweeping pardons to those
previously convicted ["Firewall", p. 493]. In so doing, Bush clearly abused
his Presidential power to avoid further

British Subversion of the United States:

Who is wagging your neighbor's tongue?

The militias and Pentecostalism

by Anton Chaitkin

The author requests all questions, comments or further intelligence leads be
sent to Anton Chaitkin c/o [EMAIL PROTECTED]

"The greatest threat from terrorism in the United States comes from people
who are associated with a British Church of England-run Pentecostalist
movement inside the United States. It is this apparatus which has structured
the militias. Now, most people in the militia movement, or associated with
it, have no part of the intentions of those who are behind it, particularly
that section in the Episcopal Church, or Pat Robertson, who's part of this
same movement, who are barking--authentically barking--Pentecostalists, who,
with their connections with the military, deeply embedded in the military,
including the ... corps of chaplains in the U.S. military, are largely
controlled, presently, by outright barking Pentecostalists This is the
... main source of the internal threat of the potential for terrorism, and
other kinds of treason inside the United States, today."

--Lyndon LaRouche, "EIR Talks," July 30, 1997.

Two years after the bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal building, a stream
of lies is pouring through British-run media sewers, preparing credulous
populists to view terrorism, or even civil war, as inevitable.

The grotesque joke is on the American populists. Their paramilitary militias,
and Pentecostal sects, are creations of the very "Godless internationalists"
they believe they are resisting. The British Empire high church apparatus
seeks to reduce the American mind to that of a clown, a hypnotized
"Christian" who babbles or barks like a dog; a "patriot" numbed by
anti-government gossip and Armageddonism, so that he sees his own nation as
his enemy.

Will these Americans provide cover, and become patsies, for criminal outrages
by professional terrorists? In hopes that, instead, they will get out of the
game, and turn their righteous anger against their manipulators, we offer
this report on how the game is rigged.

This investigation began with a probe into the armed standoff between police
and "Republic of Texas" members demanding the secession of Texas, in April
1997. This writer telephoned into the besieged compound and interviewed
Richard Otto, alias "White Eagle," who said he was asking members of militias
around the country to come to the site, armed for a shootout.

I checked Otto's background, and then shared my findings informally with
militia members and others who might have been drawn into the provocation.
Otto, it turns out, had been trained and set into motion by an Air Force
officer who toured the world practicing New Age pagan rituals, in
consultation with senior British intelligence drug-rock-sex gurus such as
Gregory Bateson. This unappetizing profile, subsequently spread around by
wary militants themselves, helped to discredit and defeat the provocation.

While Otto and his band surrendered on May 3, reports flooded into this news
service of continuing, outrageous provocations. Among these was the bizarre
case of an anti-government Texas demagogue with important military connection
s, one Jim Ammerman, whose incitements have been widely circulating among
separatists and militia members.

A Pentecostal clergyman and retired Army colonel, Ammerman now controls
chaplains currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces around the world, as
well as within prisons, and even in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He
claims supernatural prophetic powers, preaches the imminent end of the world,
denounces the U.S. government as illegal, and says the President has deserved
execution. During the April siege, Ammerman "mediated" between the Texas
separatists and the FBI.

As EIR inquired further into the origins of the Ammerman operation, and how
it is protected within the U.S. military, a much broader picture came into
view. Described here are:

*   Colonel Ammerman's agent methods;

* Britain's militia adventures among Ammerman's clients, and the Oklahoma
City bombing; +the highest-ranking U.S. general who was captured by

Warning Signs!

January 1, 2001 ~ Vol. 3, No. 1

The Bush Mandate: Save the Economy!

First of all, there is no "Recession." We have passed through one,
slow quarter. It takes two quarters of low-to-no profits to make it
official. One of the primary reasons we’re in a slowdown is because
the bill has come due for the Clinton Administration’s deliberate
attack on the nation’s energy needs and other sectors of the economy.
A thriving economy uses more energy, needs less regulation, and
government interference.

We are still importing too much energy resources from other nations,
rather than having access to our own vast reserves of coal, oil and
natural gas. We are not mining it, extracting and refining it, or
building pipelines to move it. The Clinton Administration discouraged
the building of new refineries and new utilities. In addition, this
nation lags behind other industrial nations in utilizing nuclear
energy. Instead of referring to the "China Syndrome", we will be
referring soon to the "California Syndrome" where a huge state fails
to provide energy to its citizens.

Other factors damped down the economy. The Clinton Administration
attacked Microsoft, sending a signal that all high tech industries
could suffer governmental investigations and regulation.

On Dec 22nd, the Associated Press reported, "Departing with a flurry
of activity, the Clinton Administration is rushing out a stream of
regulations---roping off millions of acres of federal land from
developers (and) requiring less polluting trucks." They have, in fact,
imposed 29,000 new pages of government regulations on business and
every other aspect of our lives. The regulations insure no logging, no
mining, no fishing, no grazing, no recreational or other uses of the
vast land holdings of the federal government. Their environmental
policies thwarted development everywhere, claiming it contributes to
"urban sprawl".

The new regulations affecting truck emissions will drive up the cost
of delivering everything in America. Those costs will cut into profit
margins and make life more expensive for everyone. In addition,
they’re seeking to impose insanely costly and undefined "ergonomics"
requirements on businesses large and small.

As Clinton leaves, Reuters reported on Dec 21st that he "unveiled
hotly-contested rules designed to keep federal agencies from awarding
contracts to firms that breach labor and environmental laws." This
affects $200 billion a year in government contracts.

Does anyone doubt that Clinton has conspired to end our economic boom?

Our economy is still strong and it will get stronger if Alan Greenspan
and the Federal Reserve cut interest rates and encourage the money to
flow into new investments. If he doesn't, he should be replaced.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, prevents this action.

Bush comes into office with a clear mandate to keep the economy going
and to pursue to the conservative initiatives that were resisted by
the previous administration and the Democrats in Congress. Here’s what
the Conservative News Service reported on December 2lst. "Now that the
election's over, how do Americans feel about taxes, partial birth
abortion, gun control, school vouchers, the defense buildup, Social
Security and the minimum wage? A new Zogby American Values poll offers
some answers.

Should we give George Bush another chance?
Harry Browne

WorldNetDaily Publisher Joseph Farah received a lot of flak from readers when he
suggested that the Bush presidency may be considerably less than what you dream of.
The theme of the flak was, "Shut up and give George Bush a chance." But this overlooks
the record. What the Bush backers should have said was, "Shut up and give Bush
another chance." He's already had a chance. In fact, he's had two of them -- and he
failed in both cases.

The big-government governor
The first chance was his reign as governor of Texas. He had almost six years to
work for smaller government. Is the Texas government less expensive, less intrusive,
less oppressive than it was six years ago?

Hardly. The Texas Eagle Forum says government in Texas grew by over a third
between 1995 and 1999. New gun-control laws were enacted. No state agencies
or departments were eliminated.

So he flunked his first chance. And that's in a state that's supposedly conservative.
Do you expect him to be more libertarian now that he has to please a whole nation o
f special-interest groups?

The big-government candidate

George Bush's second chance came during the recent campaign. He was running
against a politician who was on the side of bigger government on every issue.

Bush had a golden opportunity to gain major support by calling attention to the
expense, futility and danger of Al Gore's big-government schemes. Instead, Bush
offered his own version of each of these obscenities. Running against an obvious
petty dictator, he barely squeaked out a victory because he never offered a true
contrast.

Oh yes, when speaking in generalities, he was for limited government, "strict
construction of the Constitution," and the like. But whenever he was specific, it
was always for bigger and bigger government that violated constitutional restraints.

Take health care. We once had the best health-care system in history: personal
service from doctors, low-cost hospitals, free clinics, charity hospitals and health
insurance accessible to virtually everyone. Then the politicians created Medicare
and turned our health-care system into a nightmare. So what cure did George
Bush offer? He proposed a new government boondoggle for prescription drugs.
Four years from now, I hope you aren't in dire need of a life-saving medicine.

He presented big-government schemes for education, welfare, campaign
finance, and any other area that was an election issue. And what government
programs did he promise to get rid of -- or even reduce?

None. He flunked his second chance.

The big-government president
George Bush is already failing his third chance. He's staffing his administration
with out-of-work liberal politicians and retreads from previous Republican
presidencies.

There's one appointee who fits neither of those categories, but is even worse.
That's John Ashcroft, who will be attorney general. Here's a man who has no
more respect for the Constitution or your liberty than Janet Reno does. He's
apparently never met an invasion of your freedom that he didn't think was necessary
to fight crime or drugs.

This demonstrates once again that there's really very little difference between
the left and the right. Left-wing politicians take away your liberty in the name
of children and of fighting poverty, while right-wing politicians do it in the name of
family values and fighting drugs. Either way, government gets bigger and you become
less free.

Thanks to George Bush and John Ashcroft, four years from now it will be easier
for the government to tap your phone, read your email, snoop in your bank account,
raid your home by mistake, and regiment your life. It doesn't matter whether you
have an interest in guns or drugs or crime, because every American citizen will lose
another chunk of his remaining freedom.

What do you expect?
Government spending, government snooping, government gun control -- all will expand
in a Bush administration. This isn't conjecture or ill-wishing. It is simply obvious.

Part of the reason is that the conservative organizations that would raise a stink if
Bill Clinton proposed to steal your freedom will go into hibernation now that "one
of our own" is safely in the White House.

Do you really think George Bush is going to stop the federal government from
snooping in your bank account and your e-mail? Do you really think he's going
to stop the deterioration of health care and education by getting the federal
government out of those areas? Do you really think he's going to stop risking
your life by antagonizing foreign countries?

If you believe any of those things, I have just two words for you: Grow up.

What do you want?
If what you want in a President is someone -- anyone -- who isn't Bill Clinton
or Al Gore, then George Bush will suffice very well.

But if what you want is someone

I have also copied out the following excellent article by daev at
disinfo.com:

charles fort: scientist or humorist?
by Dave 'daev' Walsh ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) - December 20, 2000

One measures a circle beginning anywhere. - Charles Fort

Charles Fort was a painstakingly erudite dissector of scientific texts
and a ravenous predator of scientific dogma, who scrutinized how
scientists formed their theories according to their own personal views,
rather than the weight of evidence available.

Fort gleefully trawled through the data that was suppressed, discarded
or explained away in a less than satisfactory manner. He referred to
this this data as 'damned'.

It is probably safe to say there are more people familiar with the work
of Fort's work than actually know anything about him, in spite of the
stalwart campaigns of various Fortean societies, organizations and
institutes, not to mention 'Fortean Times', the London based 'Journal of
Strange Phenomena'.

Every time some character from 'Star Trek' or some other science fiction
drama start warbling on about teleportation - that's Fort, or rather the
tongue-in-cheek 'explanation' that he conjured up to explain the alleged
disappearance of objects from one place, and their apparent
reappearance elsewhere.

Born in 1874 in Albany, New York, Fort lived most of his life in New
York City, apart from eight years in London, England. He died in NYC in
1932.

Of his many works, there are really just four that are easily available
today: 'The Book of the Damned' (1919), 'New Lands' (1923), 'Lo!' (1931)
and 'Wild Talents' (1932). These works are complex lyrical, whimsical
works of investigation, doubt and anti-dogma, and are not always the
easiest of reading. As 'The Book of the Damned' begins:

"A procession of the damned. By the damned, I mean the excluded. We
shall have a procession of data that Science has excluded."

"Battalions of the accursed, captained by pallid data that I have
exhumed, will march. You'll read them - or they'll march. Some of them
livid and some of them fiery and some of them rotten."

Many of the paranormal symbols that we accept today were injected into
popular culture by proponents of Fort - fish falls, rains of blood,
bleeding statues, and damn it, UFOs, as well as ghosts, astronomy,
stigmata, the madness of crowds, panics and hysterias, anomalous
animals.

Fort realized what he was doing - "I am a pioneer of a new kind of
writing that instead of heroes and villains will have floods and bugs
and stars and earthquakes for its characters and motifs."

This isn't to say that they didn't happen before Fort - rather they were
ignored by literate men of reason, those who, even in 1902, were still
arguing "that meteorites do not fall from the sky; that they are masses
of iron upon the ground in the first place, that attract
lightning; that the lightning is seen, and is mistaken for a falling
luminous object."

Fort's myriad wanderings through strange phenomena - including the likes
of the Devil's Hoofprints of Devonshire (1855) are endlessly quotable:

"Nothing, in religion or science, or philosophy . . .is more than the
proper thing to wear, for a while."

It shouldn't be assumed, however, that 'Forteans' - those who practice a
form of humorous agnostic skepticism - should be thought of as dogmatic
- for the very nature of Forteanism demands the questioning of all
doctrine, never mind how sacred. Fort illustrated how explaining
something something away was much different to actually
explaining it - "The fate of all explanation is to close one door only
to have another fly wide open."

"To this day no one can decide whether I am a scientist or a humorist."
- Charles Fort

International Fortean Organization
The 'International Fortean Organization' (INFO) was set up in 1965 to
continue and expand the original 'Fortean Society'. INFO is dedicated to
disseminating Fort's work and continues his research into unexplained
phenomena by holding an annual conference, 'FortFest', and by publishing
the 'INFO Journal'.

But sometimes my theories point to a future date. This was the case

Then I suggest you get some money for this theory of yours. Say about 1

Simply contact the JREF at http://www.csicop.org and find out how to

why the money is yours. So is world aclaim, recognition, flocks of

That is, IF you are shown to be right. Now, do you have guts enough to

Thank you for your interesting suggestion. However, I do not think my
claim would qualify for that prize.

What I claim is discovering a pattern of Conspiratorial action. The
Conspirators include humans such as Billy Blythe Clinton and many others. I
predicted that these Conspirators were likely to act on October 12, 2000.
They did act. Their action was not supernatural.

My discovery is similar to a mundane technological discovery. It does
not necessarily concern supernatural activity. It is just that I feel that
God helped in making this discovery.

Any other person might feel that their achievements were due to help
from God. I do not think that this is the sort of claim that Csicop is
interested in.

Johannes Schmidt III asked about the virulent CLuM clique of the
Primordial Unmitigated Knights of the East. Here are some more data:

 Forum: alt.freemasonry
Thread: One Thousand and One Knights

Subject: One Thousand and One Knights
Date: 09/03/1999
Author: Kansan1225 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

My new associate, Miss Artemis Vaughan, a repentant, and now Christian,
former member of CLuM Lodge Yellow Rose #1377 of Kingwood, TX, has come up
with a partial membership list of the schismatic new sect of clandestine
Luciferian Masons (CLuMs) here in Mosquitoes. This sect, the so-called
Primordial Unmitigated Knights of the East, has attracted many disgruntled
members of Yellow Rose Lodge.

The ringleader himself, the self-proclaimed Hidden Hierophant of P.
U. K. E., goes by the name Swami Dietrich Krishnamurthy. His original name
was Dietrich Schicklgruber, hailing from New Braunfels, TX, not far from
Schlitterbahn, the famed water sports amusement park. He is proud of his
Aryan roots and, when he realized that the Masonic swastika is really a Hindu
symbol, he converted to Hinduism.

Another character is Admiral Shmo Schmuck (Swiss Navy, retired), who
could not take the harsh winters along the Bodensee any more. He moved to
the Greater Mosquitoes metropolitan area and is enjoying the exceptional
summer weather here in a comfortable condominium in a desirable section of
downtown Deer Park, TX.

Admiral Shmo has not been able to advance very far up the P. U. K. E.
ranks, because he has failed the all-important backward spelling test. For
example, he failed to recognize that "Scaasi", the name of the fashion design
company, is really "Isaacs" spelled backwards. Admiral Shmo is therefore
stuck at the 19th degree of P. U. K. E., Aspiring Bearer of the Copybook
(A:.B:.C:.).

Next is Nurse Rasheeda Mumtaza Del Fuego. She used to be called Rosie
Miranda Del Fuego, but she is an inveterate seeker of inner peace and had
sought this inner salaam in Islam, thus adopting her present name. Later on
she was trapped by the power-hungry cult of Bubba of the Lotus Throne (BLT).
(BLT is led by Bubba Barnes, the illegitimate son of Jimmy Bob Ewing and his
clandestine paramour, Pamela Barnes.)

However, even as a practicing Bubbist, Nurse Rasheeda kept feeling a
deep vacuum inside. Eventually, Rasheeda found fulfillment at the "New Delhi
Deli", the vegetarian Luciferian speakeasy run by Sister Ingrid
Krishnamurthy, the (now) estranged wife of Swami Dietrich. Rasheeda clicked
with Swami Dietrich and is now one of the most dedicated devotees of P. U.
K. E. She has reached the 77th degree, Mauve Isis of the Bayous (M:.I:.B:.).
That is the highest degree she could afford on her government hospital
salary.

I should not forget CLuM Brother Apolinari Zilbermanov, an ethnic
German and immigrant from old Mother Russia. Brother Apolinari is an
unscrupulous jeweler and fence and had been voted as "The Most Likely to
Deceive" for 13 years in a row by fellow Yellow Rose members. However, when
Apolinari tried to cheat with the Worshipful Master's son, little Lewis O.
Williams, W:.M:. Owen "New Order" Williams kicked him out of Yellow Rose.

Apolinari Zilbermanov is a distant cousin of Swami Dietrich and helps
him along in many ways, even providing livers for Dietrich's famous hors d'
oeuvres. However, the Swami does not trust his cousin entirely, so he has
kept him at the 166th degree, Holder of the Unwavering, but Flickering,
Flashlight (H:.U:.F:.F:.).

Another new arrival to Mosquitoes is Chief Geronimo Rojas- Rodriguez,
an exiled Apache prince from the Big Bend region of the Rio Grande. Chief
Geronimo is an entrepreneur in Pasadena, TX, and the brother of railroad
executive and CLuM Sister Rosario Rojas-Rodriguez. Geronimo had a falling out
with Rosario, when she refused to support him in his personal services
business.

Chief Geronimo has now hooked up with Swami Dietrich and has been
awarded a suitably high degree for all the services he provides to the
Unmitigated Order: he has reached the 238th degree, Patriarch
Immaculate of Metropolitan Pasadena (P:.I:.M:.P:.), a tribute to this
pristine eastern suburb of Mosquitoes.

Many families have a black sheep and this is the unfortunate lot of my
zoological associate, Dr. Zoe Schlessinger, D.V.M., Psy. D. Her younger
sister, Coach Daphne Schlessinger, is running with a wild crowd and used to
be a member of Yellow Rose.

Last year Coach Daphne had celebrated the Full Moon of Virgo at an
intimate lunch with CLuM Sister Cleito Atlas, the Rabbi's daughter, and the
marvellous, but diabolical, real estate agent, Sister Francesca Beaverton.
The upshot was that Sister Cleito went ahead and posted photographs from this
intimate lunch, this dejeuner a trois, on the Internet for fun and profit.

Daphne has had it with Yellow Rose and joined P. U. K. E., reaching

[CTRL] Fwd: The Year of the Protest

2001-01-01 Thread radman

-Caveat Lector-

The Boston Phoenix
December 28, 2000 - January 4, 2001
The year of the protest
2000 brought us tear gas, rubber pellets, black ski masks, and giant
puppets. Will it continue?
by Kristen Lombardi

History will find it fitting that 2000 neared its end in a burst of
anti-capitalist dissent. The news that Seattle had erupted in mini-riots on
November 30 called to mind the destruction that occurred there 365 days
earlier, when anti-free-trade protests paralyzed the city's downtown. To
commemorate the historic 1999 event, protesters went after a popular
corporate target -- Starbucks -- smashing windows and spray-painting walls
at nine of the chain's coffee shops.
The raucous affair pretty much sums up 2000. Y2K might not have sparked the
end of civilization, but it brought us street riots all the same. The past
12 months witnessed one rowdy protest after another in cities across the
nation, from Seattle to Washington, DC, from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.
Even places known more as sunny vacation spots than as hotbeds of political
activity (hello, West Palm Beach) became home to mass marches and
demonstrations.

To be sure, a certain amount of public dissent could be expected -- it was,
after all, a presidential-election year in which no incumbent was running.
Still, people took to the streets with a passion and ferocity that this
country hadn't seen since the late 1960s. What made the 2000 protests so
unusual was that they weren't rooted in a single issue like Vietnam -- an
issue that divided the country and touched the lives of virtually every
American. Under the loose rubric of curbing "corporate globalization" --
the year's hottest political buzz-phrase, referring to the unchecked
expansion of global capitalism -- activists spoke out against everything
from old-growth forest destruction to Third World debt to racism, sexism,
and homophobia. In retrospect, it seems, a spirit of protest once again
became the national Zeitgeist.

Technically speaking, of course, the mother of all recent protests took
place at the tail end of 1999, during the now-famous World Trade
Organization (WTO) meetings in Seattle. As many as 50,000
environmentalists, labor leaders, human-rights advocates, and self-styled
anarchists shut down the city with demonstrations, giant papier-mâché sea
turtles, and vandalism. Police responded with tear gas, rubber pellets, and
mass arrests.

The tumultuous affair began on November 30, 1999: armies of demonstrators
linked arms to block access to the Seattle convention center, where WTO
delegates were trying to start a round of global-trade talks. Coverage of
the event riveted the country. Newscasters broadcast dramatic footage of
anarchists in black ski masks kicking in windows at the Gap, of cops in
full riot gear tossing tear gas into the crowds. By the time the protests
ended, activists everywhere had been inspired. In shutting down the WTO
talks, the demonstrations proved that ordinary people who mobilized could
make a difference -- and this intoxicating notion set the tone for 2000. No
sooner had the World Series of demonstrations ceased than organizers looked
to re-create the magic.

And they did. Yet for all the comparisons that were made between
2000-style outrage and the social unrest that punctuated the 1960s,
observers often missed one crucial point. Yes, the Greens, unionists,
black-clad anarchists, and other advocates who spilled into the streets
this year had much in common with their '60s counterparts -- both
identified serious societal problems. But '60s protesters could say what
they were for -- namely, peace. Protesters today couldn't do the same, at
least not without ticking off a list of causes ranging from the inspired
(stop the environmental scourge of globalism) to the tired (free Mumia
Abu-Jamal). Their crusade's lack of coherence -- not to mention their
penchant for parading around with puppets -- prompted many critics to
dismiss them out of hand.

That would be a mistake, however. These activists not only highlighted the
downside of American economic success (which, after all, is due largely to
free trade), but also thrust prosperity's price into the American media
spotlight -- which is no small feat in our hyperactive, attention-deficit
culture. That protesters drew scores of once-apathetic young people into
the political process -- witness the strength of Ralph Nader's presidential
run -- has proven their biggest achievement yet. And it's one that could
pave the way for long-term political action.

Flush with the success of Seattle, activists spent the year crisscrossing
the country from one major event to another. And like their '60s-era
counterparts, who used mischievous, attention-grabbing tactics like taking
over university buildings, the 2000 rabble-rousers tried to shut down city
neighborhoods that hosted nefarious gatherings -- though they never quite
succeeded in doing so after Seattle.
In April, some 10,000 activists flocked to the

01-01-00: The news media and political protests

By Carla Binion

January 1, 2001 | Protests were effective in the 1960s because the news
media covered them. Today media organizations often ignore protest
demonstrations. When TV news networks do not cover a protest, the
demonstration cannot move public opinion. The various news media
organizations serve as the public's eyes and ears. When the media fail to
report any given event, the public remains blind and deaf regarding the
story.

Most Americans get their news from television. Day after day during the
1960s, TV news networks showed close-ups of such atrocities as innocent
black children marching into police fire hoses. Television news people ran
Martin Luther King's speeches, and discussed and dissected them. The
American people's eyes were opened, through the media's lens.

By contrast, during recent post-election protests in Florida, TV networks
kept a distance from Jesse Jackson and other like-minded demonstrators.
Few networks aired Jackson's speeches in their entirety. Television news
commentators did not explain and clarify the protesters' grievances or
give them sympathetic coverage. Fox Network's Bill O'Reilly and many other
commentators frequently maligned Jackson as a troublemaker.

During last year's Seattle protests of the World Trade Organization, TV
networks also kept a distance from the demonstrators. Commentators on
MSNBC and other cable news talk shows said repeatedly that they did not
understand why people were demonstrating. They often said that the
protests seemed to be a hodgepodge of vague and cranky quibbles and
implied it would be impossible to grasp the details of the complaints.

No wonder the commentators did not understand. They simply never asked.
Few TV networks conducted any in-depth interviews with spokesmen for the
protesters. The networks did not often show close-ups of peaceful
protesters being tear gassed or shot with rubber bullets-incidents widely
reported on the Internet and in alternative news publications.

In the same way, TV networks gave little coverage to Jesse Jackson's
recent complaint that a mob of hired Republicans used violent tactics to
try to break up a peaceful post-election demonstration in Florida. If the
networks had spent adequate time examining that information, the public
would better understand the reasons for Jackson's protests.

During the 1960s, public opinion shifted when the media showed the people
the truth about anti-war and civil rights demonstrations-especially when
the media explained the reasons behind the marches and sit ins. Once
public opinion changed, the people urged legislators to take action.

Because the following example from history is a useful illustration of (1)
the media's impact on public opinion, and (2) the importance of having a
fully informed public, it will help to digress and explore it at some
length:

Deborah Lipstadt researched the behavior of the American press during the
coming of the Holocaust in Beyond Belief (The Free Press, Macmillan, Inc.,
1986.) Lipstadt says, "During the 1930s and 1940s America could have saved
thousands and maybe even hundreds of thousands of Jews but did not do so."

Lipstadt points out that the U. S. was slow to recognize the Nazi threat
to the Jewish people and asks what might have been done to initiate rescue
operations sooner. She quotes Adlai Stevenson: "I believe that in
ninety-nine cases out of a hundred, the American people will make the
right decision-if and when they are in possession of the essential facts
about any given issue."

The problem was, during the early Holocaust years, the American news media
did not present "the essential facts" to the public in a timely way.
Washington might have acted sooner to assist the Jews, says Lipstadt, if
the American public had known-via the media-what was going on and then
urged politicians to act.

The U. S. press treated Hitler's early anti-Semitism and persecution of
the Jewish people as "sidebar" news stories. Although Hitler's Final
Solution was known to the media by 1942, the press did not fully convey
the fact to the American public.

Deborah Lipstadt points out that in The Washington Post, March, 1943,
William Shirer criticized the public for thinking that reports of Hitler's
atrocities were only propaganda. Lipstadt also mentions that in January,
1944, Arthur Koestler cited U. S. public opinion polls showing that nine
out of ten Americans believed that reports of a Nazi threat were
propaganda lies. (Arthur Koestler, New York Times Magazine, January 9,
1944.)

Lipstadt notes that the Christian Century (February 16, 1944) said in
response to Koestler that there was no use "screaming" about atrocities
against the Jews, claiming it would only "emotionally exhaust" those who
wanted to

RUN AMUCK(o)

Under the Edgewater Killings: Some points about the case of Michael Martinez
McDermott, a.k.a. Michael Morgan McDermott, a.k.a Michael McDermod Martinez,
a.k.a. Mucko, a.k.a. Elwood P. Dowd

1. The gun-grabbers have failed to note well that Massachusetts has some of
the toughest gun laws in the US, yet these did not deter alleged the alleged
42 year old killer, McDermott. Guns are like drugs. They can never be
eliminated. They will always be in the hands of criminals, the wealthy and
the government. If average citizens were heavily armed, the suspect
McDermott could have been shot down by his armed co-workers, especially
those who were barricaded inside the acounting dept. and had time to react
defensively.

2. Of the duo who committed the Columbine High school massacre in Colorado,
the leader was Eric Harris. It was reported concerning Harris: "[T]he
coroner has released further toxicology reports ... specialized testing
shows levels of Luvox in Harris' blood in a therapeutic range." --KCNC
NEWS4, 5/4/99. Oregon's 1998 school shooter Kip Kinkel, who also killed his
parents; Kenneth Seguin of Mass. who killed his wife and children, and many
other 'cereal' and 'random' mass murderers, including the accused McDermott,
were taking an "anti-depressant" drug. This drug, defined chemically as a
"selective seratonin reuptake inhibitor" (SSRI), and better known under the
brand names Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft and Luvox, deadens the conscience and
desensitizes the feelings--thus making killing easier.

This substance is immensely profitable for drug maker Eli Lilly, which
earned $2.5 billion in profits in 1999 from Prozac alone. When is this drug
going to come under establishment media scrutiny and Congressional
investigation as a powerful contributing factor in these mass murders? This
drug has "significant 'side effects," including akathisia, a severe form of
agitation. Dr. Jodi Worrel of the Western Missouri Mental Health Center
states: "Child and adolescent data suggest worsening of aggression with SSRI
treatment."

3. For students of my cryptocracy research, the Twilight language that
surfaces in the case of this sub-mariner includes Duracell, (durable cell --
anal e-coli, the secret basis of the next generation of living computers);
Edgewater -- the "Maritime law come inland" of the "Bar association,"
Francis Dashwood's Man-o'-war and the watery borderlands of Oannes, Sirius
and Naval Intelligence; #42, the Guide to the Galaxy (car repossessed before
the shootings-- a Hitchhiker at the time, also cf. the message he left on
his answering machine), dungeons  dragons (king's jail  cereal spirit);
and Mucko the nursery school behemoth, the raging 6' 3", 280 lb. elephant
whose "must" produces alchemical Must Be -- Revelation of the Method -- on
the eve of the Third Millennium.

For example, media one has put its bigfoot on the occult pedal in this case.
(This can be turned on and off at will like a spigot). In the early stages
of this scenario the media are powering the archetype with haunting
suggestions, as for example, in a Dec. 30 Associated Press report titled,
"Mysterious details of shooting suspect's life surface," in which attention
is paid to sub-rosa hints and allusions which are usually discounted or
mocked in similar cases: "His answering machine contained a reference to the
novel 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams. In the book,
some characters are computers with GPP Genuine People Personalities...The
novel is part of a series that includes a search for the meaning of 'life,
the universe, and everything.' The answer, in something of an anticlimax,
turns out to be the number 42. That is also McDermott's age." (End quote
from AP, Dec. 30, 2000).

The Boston Herald (Dec. 30) quotes an unnamed "nationwide computer system
that tracks public records" as stating that the alleged Edgewater killer is
"known to have changed his birth name of Michael McDermod Martinez to
Michael Morgan McDermott in 1980, and to have used several different
combinations of middle names." The Herald says that the real Michael
McDermott died in 1984: "Michael McDermott...listed as having died

[CTRL] Cereal Murder and the Group Mind

2001-01-01 Thread Kelly

-Caveat Lector-

From Paranoia Magazine,
http://www.paranoiamagazine.com/Michael%20Hoffman%20Interview.htm

The Scapegoating of Ted Kaczynski:

Cereal Murder and the Group Mind

Joan d'Arc Interviews Michael Hoffman, II

Joan d'Arc: Michael, in your excellent on-line article entitled "The
Scapegoat: Ted Kaczynski, Ritual Murder and the Invocation of
Catastrophe," www.hoffman-info.com you write that the Unabom case has
been "rubber-stamped in newsrooms with the logo of the FBI." As you
explain, a very un-American collusion between the media and the FBI from
the beginning primed the public for Ted Kaczynski's guilt without due
process and trial. Have we been witness again to a 'lone nut' in the
making?

Michael Hoffman: Yes, this is the point I make in my essay, "Profiling
the FBI's Unabom Charade." It fits the classic profile from Oswald to
Arthur Bremer to Tim McVeigh. The tip-off is when you see, at the height
of the investigation, that the chief suspect is apprehended and yet
there is no search for accomplices. This was true with "Son of Sam" and
now with Kaczynski. How was the FBI so certain Kaczynski had zero
accomplices? Because they had Kaczynski under surveillance for years.
They were shepherding him. Unabom is a Federal government operation.

d'Arc: As you state, the nomenclature of the "Unabom-er" was concocted
by the FBI. You state that no credible evidence has actually linked Mr.
Kaczynski to all or even most of the bombings. In addition, the most
well-known sketch of the alleged "Unabom" suspect depicts a hooded man
with sunglasses, a mustache and curly red hair. Strangely, the "Unabom
Manifesto" alludes to the existence of potential accomplices in the mail
bomb attacks for which Kaczynski is now famous. Yet there has been no
investigation or follow-up of various leads - nor has there been media
curiosity - about this possibility. How does this fit into the 'Trial by
Media" scenario?

Hoffman: I am a former reporter for the N.Y. bureau of the Associated
Press so I know the media. People have this idea that reporters for big
outlets are these super-hip, highly educated people. They're not! They
are mostly low-grade careerists who eat junk food and have filled their
heads with conformist crap since they started college. They are
rubber-stamped from a mold. They have no curiosity because real
curiosity is dangerous --just ask the late reporter Don Bolles who got
car-bombed by Barry Goldwater's pal Kemper Marley. Bolles was a very
curious reporter!

I think the local reporters on the Kaczynski scene in Montana, from the
Great Falls, Helena and Missoula papers and TV stations, knew that
something intense was happening involving the "Power Brokers" and they
backed off. The first question a good reporter would ask of the Feds is,
"Why are you so certain Kaczynski acted alone? You haven't even searched
for any accomplices even though the 'Unabom Manifesto' mentions other
members of the FC club?"

There are hundreds of questions. I'd start there.

d'Arc: You point to the fact that nobody other than the Feds were
allowed anywhere near Kaczynski's cabin during the search and seizure of
property, where the media reported that "truckloads of evidence" were
taken from a tiny structure less than 200 square feet. What in your
estimation is wrong with this picture?

Hoffman: It's the same picture as in Oklahoma City where the Murrah
building was demolished before any real investigation could begin. This
destruction of evidence-- a felony -- is committed by the felon in "our"
own government.

d'Arc: Michael, you write that a few days after Ted Kaczynski's
apprehension, on April 11, 1996, you got his attention by holding up a
cardboard poster at the window of the Helena jail. You indicate that via
sign language Kaczynski expressed an interest in a visit from you in
jail, and that you entered the jail on that day. Can you describe what
you saw in the jail that day. Were you his only visitor and were you
able to see Mr. Kaczynski?

Hoffman: It was eerie. The jail was deserted except for a couple of
local people visiting some other prisoner. This was the day Kaczynski
was the most famous man in America. This was the day Time and Newsweek
came out with Kaczynski on the cover. Yet there were no
environmentalists at the jail drumming support, singing, chanting so
Kaczynski could hear them. No environmentalists trying to visit him.
Just me, one lone investigator and that was it. The environmentalists
were massaging their computer keyboards at the time. There was wild
speculation and gossip flying all over the Internet. But for some reason
no one bothered to go to the scene - beyond virtual reality to reality.
Except for me, Kaczynski was totally alone. It was spooky, given the
fact that he was the most famous man on the planet at the time.

d'Arc: You also state that one of the media/FBI myths about Ted
Kaczynski was that he was "a reviled kook who reeked of body odor,
dressed abominably and was paranoid." Can you

[CTRL] New Shell Disrupts Electronics

2001-01-01 Thread Kelly

New Shell Disrupts Electronics
E-Bomb Does Not Kill People

UPI

LONDON (Dec. 28, 2000) -- British scientists have developed a
non-explosive artillery shell that can put out such a powerful burst
of radio-frequency energy it will destroy or disable electrical and
electronic systems for miles around without killing anyone.

The new so-called E-Bomb was developed privately by Matra BAe Dynamics
and fits into US research efforts into matching and countering similar
Russian systems, whose advanced development startled western
intelligence officials when it was revealed two years ago.

Particularly worrying to British intelligence officials were reports
that the IRA has discussed using a version of the Russian bomb that
can be carried in a briefcase. The target, according to the London
Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, was the City of London. A meltdown of
unprotected computer electronics in the heart of one of the world's
primary financial centers is one of Britain's worst nightmares.

But almost equally-alluring to British Ministry of Defense officials
was the prospect of using such a weapon themselves. Last summer they
issued a summary of requirements to companies for "radio frequency
munitions delivered by 155mm shell or rocket", without saying what
they would use it for.

US cruise missiles and bombs are believed to be earmarked for similar
radio frequency devices, but this is the first time one has been
designed for close-in artillery systems that are cheaper and less
easily shot down.

"It's being looked at for peacekeeping operations, perhaps for hostage
situations where you want to knock out someone's mobile phones,
computers, electronic security devices and so on," said a BAe Systems
spokesman Thursday. The company's work on the system won the
scientists a gold award for innovation from the BAe Systems chairman.

The E-Bomb works by being fired from a long-range 155mm artillery gun
or MLRS rocket launcher and then breaking open its outer casing over
the target. The shell or rocket then unfolds its radio transmitter
aerials and the transmitter sends a high powered radio pulse of
billions of watts that lasts just a few nanoseconds.

Just how effective it would be against a modern military force remains
uncertain, however. British, American and other Nato equipment is
significantly "ruggedized", encased in extra layers of protective
materials compared to that of off-the-shelf commercial electronics.

The result of an E-blast could be, therefore, that the enemy military
has the only functioning communication systems while the civilian
infrastructure, including power plants, manufacturing, hospitals and
transportation, stops working.

NATO's military has been hardening its electronic systems for many
years, primarily as a defense against nuclear warfare. It has long
been known that the electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) of a nuclear blast
severely damages electronic equipment. Up to now, however, EMP has
only been considered a peripheral concern of the far more devastating
consequences of nuclear war, not as a weapon on its own.

"The theory and strategy of active electronic warfare in non-nuclear
situations has still to be determined," said one senior British
officer. "We are still sorting out some of the lessons of the air
campaign on Serbia last year. But this is the first I've heard of a
practicable, useable design for the artillery. It certainly tends to
open up the discussion a bit."

A Ministry of Defence spokesman said there is no contract for the
Matra BAe device, and there is no funding commitment to the futuristic
project. The Matra BAe spokesman said it could be ten years before it
is deployed.
