An urban legend is a story
or account that many would thinkis true but which in fact is not
true. If the subject eventoccurs once, whether frequently or not, it
is a true event; because it is true it cannot belegendary.

The urban legend, therefore, refers
to whether the thingdoes happen not that it happens once in awhile or
frequently. And if it in fact happens the legend is no more
fairytale.
