Bug#1037169: linux-image-6.1.0-9-amd64: reboots when suspending
Package: src:linux Version: 6.1.27-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, When the computer goes to suspend using eg 'systemctl suspend' it sometimes fails to suspend and reboots instead. What can also happen is that the computer won't come back from suspend and won't react to pings either, I'll have to force a shutdown. And sometimes everything will work as expected. I noticed this since a few months now, updating the kernel never changed the behaviour. There were a number of fixes in the LSP stuff for 0.6.0, so can you let me know if you see this again after upgrading to that? Bug#944097: udev: Network interface does not follow the predictable naming anymore

At least I would have read it :). So if I want to keep the old behaviour, I should override this and replace NamePolicy=keep kernel By something like NamePolicy=path keep kernel But then I will also need to launch iwd with "--nointerfaces" in order for it to ignore the not yet renamed interfaces. It looks to me like it's a bit too much to do in order to use the predictable naming scheme. Anyway thank you very much!
Bug#936094: python3: Installing vdirsyncer or pygobject in a virtual environment results in a linker error
Package: python3 Version: 3.7.3-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I noticed the same error while installing in a pristine virtual environment the python packages 'vdirsyncer' or 'pygobject' (I made a bug report to gnome for the later in case it matters: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pygobject/issues/358) Here's the final line of the vdirsyncer installation: ImportError: /tmp/easy_install-e4zaxt6y/vdirsyncer-0.17.0a3/.eggs/cffi-1.12.3-py3.7-linux-x86_64.egg/_cffi_backend.cpython-37m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so: failed to map segment from shared object as you can see from gnome's bug report it's the same issue with pygobject. It made me realize that the issue might not be with the packages but with the python shipped with sid. Thus I tried on a buster box I have and vdirsyncer installs successfully. I wonder if this bug is related to #919134 (although I am not sure as this bug was found before the buster release). Bug#922269: x11-utils: X do not triggers the screensaver
Package: x11-utils Version: 7.7+4 Severity: normal Hello, I noticed that my screensaver is not triggered anymore after the default timeout yet I can activate it through "xset s activate". Bug#913905: i3-wm: focus sometimes stucks on the previous window
Package: i3-wm Version: 4.16-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, This is a quite difficult bug to trigger but it happens at least on time per hour since the update to i3 version 4.16 The symptom is pretty easy to describe: when switching from one window to another (either by calling a window from the scratchpad or by using "focus left/right") the focus stays on the previous window yet the window I expected to receive the focus appears (in case it's coming from the scratchpad) and is decorated just like a focused window. I have tried numerous way to reproduce this bug but I failed to find a pattern. I am sorry about that as I know that such an erratic bug can be a PITA without a reproducible scenario. Bug#913559: sensible-utils: select-editor should quote path used in the script
Package: sensible-utils Version: 0.0.12 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, A user reported to me a problem when commiting something in mercurial. After some investigation, the issue comes from the fact that he has a space in its $HOME variable (don't ask me why :P). Bug#754450: acpi-support: laptop backlight is not dimmed when unplugging power
Package: acpi-support Version: 0.142-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I notice that since I switched to systemd my laptop do not dim the backlight when unplugging the power cord. According to me this is due to two things: - acpid wrongly calls power.sh without argument (I had to install consolekit for power.sh to be called because it uses ck-list-sessions, that's maybe another bug). - the test CheckPolicy checks for HasLogindAndSystemd1Manager but if I am not mistaken systemd does not handle battery events. The real host name of the machine which runs the sandbox is jukebox.domain007.com (don't ask why it is what it is), and I have configured it in my Pidgin config as the server to connect to (so no SRV lookups are performed). As you can see, I have successfully authenticated as kostix@localhost using DIGEST-MD5 after upgrading the session to use TLS. So, to me the issue appears to be either fixed or non-existing. Is there something in my setup (XMPP domain? server hostname? client settings?) that prevents the issue being discussed form exposing itself? Bug#662964: ekiga: uninstallable
Package: ekiga Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, I tried to install ekiga today. And it did not work: % sudo aptitude update … snip Hit and stuff … % LANG=C sudo aptitude install ekiga The following NEW packages will be installed: ekiga{b} libcamel-1.2-29{a} libebook-1.2-12{a} libedataserver-1.2-15{a} libopal3.6.8{ab} The following packages are RECOMMENDED but will NOT be installed: yelp 0 packages upgraded, 5 newly installed, 0 to remove and 27 not upgraded. Need to get 13.7 MB of archives. After unpacking 31.3 MB will be used. The following packages have unmet dependencies: ekiga: Depends: libpt2.6.7 which is a virtual package. Depends: evolution-data-server but it is not going to be installed. libopal3.6.8: Depends: libpt2.6.7 which is a virtual package. Depends: libsrtp0 but it is not going to be installed. The following actions will resolve these dependencies: Keep the following packages at their current version: 1) ekiga [Not Installed] 2) libopal3.6.8 [Not Installed] And thus the installation fail. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#654853: libpurple0: cannot connect to jabber server using SSL + DIGEST-MD5 while mcabber can
Package: libpurple0 Version: 2.10.1-1 Severity: important Hello, I have a strange situation connecting to a my company xmpp server using minbif (I tried also with pidgin that's why I report the bug against libpurple). Since the upgrade of ejabberd to 2.1.9 I can not connect anymore. I tried with mcabber to check that the problem is not coming from me, and the connection succeeded. It seems that libpurple fails the challenge response step (from 19:29:48 and 19:33:26 in the logs). Here are the XML log of both session: MCabber: New trace log started. Since those are new rules maybe I can start with the current list an apply the new rules (although this process might create some errors). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
