Oops. I mixed my standard template. Thanks for spotting this. I have fixed it
locally, before I make an upload I will ask for translation updates (since
some languages are fuzzy).

Bug#404166: portmap: Inconsistent encoding of the Spanish debconf translation

2006-12-21 Thread Christian Perrier
Package: portmap
Severity: minor
Tags: patch l10n

The debian/po/es.po file for portmap uses inconsistent encoding.

While the translations use UTF-8, as announced in the headers, the comments
at the top of the file are still ISO-8859-1 encoded.

Please use the attached file where I replaced ISO-8859-1 characters by their
UTF-8 counterparts in these headers.

The translations have *not* been modified as they are correct.

(to Spanish translators: indeed these headers with ISO characters are a real
pain for the Pootle server we're setting up for Debian, hosted in...
Badajoz...:-))

msgid
Portmap by default listens to all IP addresses. However, if you are not
providing network RPC services to remote clients (you are if you are setting
up a NFS or NIS server) you can safely bind it to the loopback IP address
(127.0.0.1)

This will allow RPC local services (like FAM) to work properly, while
preventing remote systems from accessing your RPC services.
msgstr
servicios RPC.

You can also change this configuration by editing the OPTIONS line in the /
etc/default/portmap file. If you just don't specify the -i option it will
bind to all interfaces.
