Re: [libreoffice-design] LibreOffice Calc

2016-04-18 Thread Heiko Tietze
What you are talking about is the highlighting of the active row/column at the
fixed cells. Your screenshot of the current state shows a gradient and you
suggest a flat style. (You cannot sent images over mailinglists.)

If your OS/design has a flat appearance (e.g. Windows 10's default) than you
are right. In fact my Linux/KDE with Breeze is flat and it looks similar to
your screenshot. The bug would request full theme awareness, i.e. it should be
defined by the OS and not the application how highlighting is done.

Re: [libreoffice-design] LibreOffice Calc

2016-04-18 Thread Heiko Tietze
Hi Pavel,

could you please explain which functionality you want to remove? Cell
background is white by default, and blue when selected (depending on
your theme). The active cell is indicated by a black frame. Looks good
here :-).
You could also write a bug report against ux-advice and attach a screenshot.

Cheers,
Heiko

Forwarding cell grid question (was: Re: [libreoffice-design] LibreOffice Calc - Cell background color + default cell border)

2011-01-07 Thread Christoph Noack
Hi Ferenc, all,

forwarding to libreoff...@lists.freedesktop.org ...

There has been a question on the design team mailing list concerning the
cell grid - it seems to be drawn in the background, thus, it vanishes if
people apply a background color (see picture link below).

I don't know whether this is intentional, a bug, ... so I though it's
better to ask you. From my UX point-of-view, the grid should be shown
on-top.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Christoph

PS: I'll moderate answers to des...@libreoffice...

 Hi!

My question is, is there any way to turn the default cell border
always-on-top / show even, when the cell got a background color?

I really want to leave OOCalc alone, but i use a lot of cell coloring, and
 this feature is annoys me.
