Re: [libreoffice-design] Updated LibreOffice donate page on website for beautifying

2017-05-04 Thread Mike Saunders
Hi Jan,

Just to let you know that I've finally had time to work on a HTML and
CSS version of this:

https://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/donate-newdesign.html

It's not quite as pretty as your mockup, but I think most of the content
is there and this implementation doesn't use JavaScript which is a bonus.

We'll look at implementing it into the main donate page now.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

Is there progress on this issue and/or anything I could help with?
Or has it been stalled?

2017-04-04 Thread jan
Hi,

To get the grasp of it I recreated a version similar to yours, using the
elements I already had:

imgur.com/a/XxFhK

I find it nice that it reads more natural ("once 10€");
I found it to need more space vertically than the other version in order
to make the grouping of the steps clear.

Which performs better could be a good question for an AB-test.

Big plus for the easy to recognize links. Other than that we should consider to
make it even more simple. No recurring transaction, one input field with 10 as
default, and next to it the currency. And a less blatant font (if you are at
this page the disclaimer on top is way too much info).
Many thanks for your mockup, Jan!

Tested on FF, IE11, Chrome functions well.

Do we need another green for more contrast/highlight?

Subject: [libreoffice-design] Updated LibreOffice donate page on website for
beautifying

Hi everyone,

We've been working on an updated donate page for the LibreOffice
website. Here's the result so far (this is the main donate block that
will be integrated into our SilverStripe CMS):

https://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/donate-design-test-1-js.html

We've implemented the features we need and tested it in many browsers,
but if anyone would like to improve its appearance (eg change colours,
fonts, add graphics) then go ahead!

We want to make this live quite soon, but there's still time if someone
wants to work on it.

Thanks!
