Re: [l10n-dev] Links to wiki in OLH failed localization

Only for clarification, the honour goes to Gregor. GSI-check is his
baby, but we have to wait a little for his come-back ;-)

Cheers,
Frank

there was a discussion about this on this list last summer. There were
some proposals discussed but noone said how it should be done.

back then my reply was

What is the reason that gsicheck checks the link targets anyway?

I would suggest that internal links are checked to be equal, e.g.
   link href=text/sdraw/main0101.xhp name=File
while external links are just checked to be technically valid, e.g.
   link href=http://api.openoffice.org/;
and leave the rest tzo the localizers.

A valid external link would match something like
   (ht|f)tps*://([^.]+\.){1,}[a-z]{2,3}(/.*)*

This is how it should be done.

Discussing this with Frank Mau, this is a GSI-check issue. So GSI-check
will be adapted to accept localized links for 3.2.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Kind regards
Sophie

I perfectly agree that the current situation is not satisfactory at
all. As for the space issue, I've sent out a message
to the Council to describe the current situation:

Unfortunately, I did not receive any answer to that posting.

See
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Community_Council_Log_20090326
and read messages between 17:17:00 and 17:19:40.
They are trying :) I hope you get answer soon.

Really thank you for finding and providing this information in this
jungle of mails and meetings :-) !

Sorry for not reporting here that your point was not discussed during
the last meeting (time is so rare...). But I'll take care that we begin
by this on the next meeting.

I've put it on top of the next agenda:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Community_Council/Agenda

I remember that some time ago there were also problems because available
servers failed. So when we talk about more space, maybe it is good to
make the configuration redundant as well ;-)
And possibly there are even more (small) items in which the council can
support the current process and ongoing improvements? I have no idea,
maybe you have :-)

Cor

[l10n-dev] Misleaded function translation

2009-04-08 Thread Paolo Pozzan
Hello,
an italian tester reported a wrong Calc function translation in OOo 3.1 RC.
This is because a translation fault, nothing related to the l10n process.

I just want to know if there is enough time to fix it, as it would be very
uncomfortable for users to find a function with a wrong name.
If yes, what are the things we need to do?

Thanks!
Paolo
