In the first one yes, there are some, but in the second one Kurdish
translation seem to be missing altogether which is concurrent with what I
see in some builds (untranslated Create a new document).

What should I do about these files?

Pootle seems to be down right now (502 - Service Not Available), but I can
confirm that the exclamations marks are not present in Pootle. I've been
looking for them there over and over again to find the source of the
problem, and it's not the translations in Pootle.

Sadly I also forgot the root cause of those ! but it looks like a
 non-recurring accident.

Well, it's in several builds, in various amounts, so it seems to have
happened more than once and in varying intensity.

[l10n-dev] STR_HFCMD_DELIMITER (was: [l10n-dev] OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 - delivery deadline for l10n bug fixes - June 12th, 2009)

 STR_HFCMD_DELIMITER 13691 pt-BR \\n\n\n

Since this string is not translatable, I tried the copy function in
Pootle but I get an error int argument required.

 How should I proceed?

The string actually is a backslash (doubled in the resource for
escapement). Anyway, it's a remainder of the legacy binary file format,
and having it translatable was an error. This, and probably other
STR_HFCMD_* string resources as well (to be investigated), isn't used
anymore, so the actual content doesn't matter. The resource string(s)
and the code using it should be removed in a future version.

Btw, if you didn't hijack this mail thread but would had started a new
thread using an appropriate subject instead, I might had come across
earlier..

[l10n-dev] Icelandic translation for OpenOffice

2009-06-30 Thread Kristján Bjarni Guðmundsson
Hi.

My name is Kristján and I am interested in localizing and translating
OpenOffice to Icelandic (is). I have some experience localizing software
since I am the Icelandic translator for Mozilla Firefox. I would like to
translate only the GUI portion to start with and leave the Help for later.
Is it possible to add Icelandic to Pootle so I can start my translation
there?

Thanks
 - Kristján

A) The first one seems to have two Kurdish entries whose text end with an
exclamation mark.
 1. Close ~Toolbar

MENUITEM_TOOLBAR_CLOSE ... ku ... ~Darikê Amûran Bigire! ...
This seems appear at the bottom of popup menu of Toolbar.

 2. Retry

Biceribîne! ...
This seems appear in the dialog window telling disk full during auto recovery
process.

B) The second one seems to have texts for the Start Center.
If kurdish entries are missing in the file localize.sdf, the texts in the
Start Center will be in fallback language, Englige
