I think it is designed to not have help files. Is there something I can help you with ? I forgot about that. My FSK key on the Microham cable for the TS2000 just hangs loose. It appears to not be needed. I think I recall my brain being puzzled when it first arrived and concluding that that section of the cable was for another Kenwood, the 570. Just ingnore it. FSK RTTY and AFSK RTTY with my TS2000 and my Microkeyer works just fine, I assume the same will apply to your Digikeyer. I have no experience using it with a TS-2000, but I do own a DigiKeyer and I do use it with FSK on my FT-1000mp. Last night, I set up MMTTY and it works fine with FSK. Given a choice between AFSK and FSK, I'd definitely use FSK for RTTY whenever possible. Maybe it is less important to you. -- Brian -- http://users.wildblue.net/k7on/ Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

-This may help EasyPal Guide - updated 12/22/06 EasyPal is the work of Erik VK4AES. Do not bother him with emails about the program. If you need help, someone on the DIGSSTV newsgroup may be able to help you. Be sure to include the version number in any report of a problem. Also keep up to date and use the latest version. Yahoo Groups DIGSSTV: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/digsstv = MENU LINE == File: Twain Select Twain Acquire Print EXIT - Click to close the program. Setup: Initial Setup - Enter/change Callsign, CommPort, and Soundcard. Click the OK button to update/exit. Click the OK button to close the window with the message Some systems may require a program restart. If you do not exit EasyPal at this time, the transmit frequency of DRM transmissions will be offset by 50 Hz. TX Setup - Default DRM Mode should be Mode B, QAM 16, Bandwidth 2.5 khz, Error Protect Normal, and Interleave Short. On the TX tab, it will appear as B/2.5/Hi/16/Sht. If EasyPal starts sending in a different mode than selected, change to a different mode and back again before clicking the OK button. Start Delay of 12 will reduce transmit time by reducing the number of redundant segments. For very short transmissions such as Text messages, a Start Delay of 12 may be too short a time for all stations to achieve MSC sync before the transmission is finished. In this case, select a Start Delay of 24. The setting of 24 will return when EasyPal is restarted. TX DC Freq is best left at the default 350 Hz. RX WFall Offset is best left at the default 0. Form Size - Take care not to size the window too small as you may loose access to the adjustment slider and get the program stuck in this size. Progressive RX - Check to enable viewing image as it is coming in. Using Progressive RX may increase the chance of program lock-up or other errors. Show RX Full Screen - Image displayed full screen once received. Animated GIF files will not be displayed full screen. TX WaterFall Monitor - Allows receiving while sending. Turning on the MONITOR function on my Icom IC-746 will send my TX audio back to the input of my soundcard. The TX signal can be seen in the waterfall. DRM transmissions sent can be copied back and decoded. This includes BSR and FIX. AutoSave - Check to enable saving of images to AutoSave folder. Show Message Dialogs Show Hints - Hints will appear after mouse pointer is placed over selected buttons and areas. Show Hints is always off when EasyPal is started. Action: Show bsrreq.bin - Allows viewing the contents of the last BSR rec. If received from EasyPal, the first number is the file ID number. Next is the last 11 characters of the filename. After that is a code for the mode. All the numbers remaining are all the segment numbers required. Send BSR request 4 times (bad conds) - Not functional. Show TX Volume Control - Allows quick access to Master Volume for soundcard. All inputs should be Muted except for the Master Volume and Wave. Names for sliders may be different for some soundcards. Show RX Volume Control - Allows quick access to Recording Control. Select the input where the received audio comes into the soundcard. Show Repeater Commands - Check to enable Rptr menu. Make W/Fall Picture - Transforms the image on screen into a grey scale image that becomes analog encoded audio to produce a like image in the waterfall. Make W/Fall Text - Transforms a user provided text message with

[digitalradio] what the heck is this waterfall display telling me?
Hey group, Heard this noise today, but couldn't identify it as a digital signal. Been in the same spot for a year now and have never seen this on my MixW display! Screen shot here: http://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=oddnoise14071dm8.jpg On and off for a couple of minutes, then nothing. Strong enough signal to trip my digital interface, so I'm guessing it's around my neighborhood. Doesn't fit any RFI, etc. that I've seen before. Any ideas? 73. Frank K2NCC
