[Dspace-tech] dspace hanging up at the upload stage

2009-07-30 Thread Lebohang Lengoatha
Hi all

I am having a problem with dspace when trying to upload a file. The process
goes well until upload stage is reached. After browsing the file from my
hard disk, I click next, it cannot go to the next page. It hangs there
forever. What might be the problem??

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Lebohang

[Dspace-tech] Bitstreams invisible after import

2009-07-30 Thread Steve Thomas

Hi. Having a problem here with importing a record with a number of mp3
bitstreams. (A music thesis.) Running DSpace 1.4.2, record is
http://hdl.handle.net/2440/49474

I set up a directory tree as per docs to import the record -- done that
many times with no problems with simple records.

This record had mutiple mp3 files from 4 separate CDs. So I created a
contents file listing all the mp3 files, and used \tbundle:CD1 after
each file name to keep the tracks together as four separate bundles.
>From the documentation, that seemed to be what I needed.

The import worked, to the extent that the files all loaded, and can be
seen in item edit. But they are not visible in the public views.

So, can anyone tell me what I should do to make them visible?

Thanks!

Re: [Dspace-tech] Bitstreams invisible after import

2009-07-30 Thread Claudia Jürgen
Hi Steve,

only bitstreams in the bundle ORIGINAL are listed in the item view.
You shouldn't have used the option bundle:CD1. Without specifying a
bundle everything listed in contents is stored in the bundle ORGINAL.

You may move the bitstreams to the ORIGINAL bundle on db level and erase
the bundle CD1.

Hope that helps

Claudia

Re: [Dspace-tech] NullPointerException, problem with sitemap.xmap (Manakin 1.1)

FYI Latest Dspace version is 1.5.2

I get the java.lang.NullPointerException during loading

in the mentioned files (aspects.xmap, sitemap.xmap...).

Does anyone have a clue where the problem could be? Thank you.
