[Dspace-tech] Handle link

2014-08-27 Thread Bodnar Robert
Hello,

could someone please help me with a problem with the identifier links?

We just upgraded from 1.7 version Dspace to 4.1.
In the old one we had identifiers like this:
dspaceurl/handle/12345/123

Now they include also the ui name in the link:
dspaceurl/jspui/handle/12345/123

Tried every combination, set the handle canonical prefix, even deleted the
/jspui part from the base.url but nothing worked.

+1  The OAI page works when using

dspacelink/oai/request?verb=Identify
but every link on that page points to the inner network ip not the hostname.
Tried modifying the oai.cfg, but nothing changed.
Any ideas?
Can it be possible that Dspace does not use the settings from dspace.cfg but
from somewhere else?

Thank you very much for your help!

Dear Bodnar,

Did you change the dspace.url in your dspace.cfg to http://yourdspaceurl and
not http://yourdspaceurl/jspui?

The PlumX team will help you import your data when you start your
PlumX subscription. They can import it from IRs, Scopus, ORCID and
other sources. It's best to talk to them directly via

[Dspace-tech] View DRI for item submission?

2014-08-27 Thread Bill Tantzen
In DSpace 4.2, xmlui.

I have been tasked with customization of the item submission pages,
and I don't seem to be able to view the underlying DRI as I normally
would. Interposing DRI in the url and appending ?XML both result in
a Page cannot be found error.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Thanks!
Bill

[Dspace-tech] File Dates and Replication Task Suite

2014-08-27 Thread Nathan Tallman
DSpace users,

My institution is on DSPace 1.8.2 and has installed the replication task
suite to create bags. However, an odd thing occurs when creating bags. All
files get a date of January 1, 1980. We exporting AIPs using packager,
original file dates are retained.

Has anyone run into this before? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Nathan

Re: [Dspace-tech] File Dates and Replication Task Suite

2014-08-27 Thread Richard Rodgers
Hi Nathan:

Not sure exactly your process, but the suppression of certain time-stamps (in
the .zip archive itself, e.g) is deliberate: if archive-time was embedded,
then 2 AIPs of the same content would always differ (just by that time-stamp),
so their checksums would be different. That would mean that one could not
easily decide that 2 AIPs represent unchanged content. The task suite does a
lot of check-sum comparisons for this purpose.

Why do you need the file dates?

Thanks,

Richard

Re: [Dspace-tech] File Dates and Replication Task Suite

2014-08-27 Thread Nathan Tallman
Thank you, Richard. I didn't think the date in the file-system-level
metadata would affect the checksum; I thought it was just what was inside
the bitstream that affected the checksum. We were interested in keeping the
dates because it shows when something was created or digitized and that
information isn't always included in the record, depending on the
collection.

Thanks again,
Nathan

2014-08-27 Thread vinod mishra
Dear All,

When i attempt to delete item through JSPUI interface it gives internal

aslo gives some error:

org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: update or delete on table
item violates foreign key constraint $2 on table collection2item
Detail: Key (item_id)=(429349) is still referenced from table
collection2item

But ultimately it seems to be deleted, i have updated my dspace 1.2.1
