Dear Sirs, Thank you very much for your answers! I found a very simple and effective way to solve my problem. I write it down, maybe it could be useful for someone: I exported the metadata for a collection through the interface in cvs, opened it in Bluefish and used Replace All. Then imported the cvs back in DSpace. That`s it. Thank you! Hi Bodnar, In dspace.cfg, you'll need to uncomment the line handle.canonical.prefix that specifies local URLs, and comment the one that specifies handle.net. That should do the trick. B-- Hello. So its very important to change it. A way would be to export the metadata, and make some automatic process that changes the links, but this also would take some time. [Dspace-tech] Indexing 1.7.2
Hi All! I have an indexing problem, a different one then I have read on the list since now. We have recently upgraded our DSpace software from version 1.6.0 to 1.7.2. Everything seemed fine, until I tried to update the index. When I try running the index: ./dspace index-update I see the following: Started: 1314339018968 Ended: 1314339064644 Elapsed time: 45 secs (45676 msecs) The numers are changeing but the 45 secs are constant. Then it simply stops but I do not get back the bash (no command line). I can see nothing more. When I had run the index on 1.6.0, I saw the lines running. In the logs I found the following error: Error Null metadata value for item 13000, field: dc.subject Unfortunately in the beginning a lots of items were uploaded with metadatas missing. But now I can`t decide if the cronjob or the command is not working. Could someone please provide some info on the subscriptions? [Dspace-tech] Dspace 1.7, XMLUI + Localization
Greetings! We are currently implementing Dspace 1.6 JSPUI for our library`s digital collections. It is only in beta phaze for the moment. But I have tested Dspace 1.7 and I like very much the new Manakin theme and I find easier to configure the Manakin interface. We might try to change to the new version and to XMLUI but adding other languages is critical. Unfortunately only relying to the browser language to guess the user language is not good enough. My question would be if there is a way in Dspace 1.7 to use language links and change the language? I tried this: https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-332 but its not working, at least not for this 1.7 version. I would really apreciate if someone could help with this question! Thank you very much!
