RIP Alexey; Minäkin tapasin hänet usein, viimeksi toissa elokuussa, jolloin yhdessä Alexanderin ja hänen kanssaan istuskelimme iltapäivää eräässä Maratan sivukadun Neukkutyylin baarissa. Alexei was one of the founders (1986) and the permanent President of the St. Petersburg DX Club. For many years he has collaborated with the editors of the Handbook World Radio TV Handbook, and his name you can regularly see on the editorial page of the directory in the section Contributors. Alexey was extremely good-natured, friendly and cheerful person. And so he will remain forever in our memory. In October 2012 Alexei was 60 years old. Radio Hargeisa tämä luullakseni on, kuulunut parina iltana kokeillessani taajuudella 7120 kHz. Ei siinä mitään, vaikka kuunteluvarustus alkeellinen (Sangean kera verhotanko-lämpöpatteriyhdistelmän), kyllä asema kuuluisi kohtuudella. Mutta kun on tv:n iltauutisten aika ja asema on pistänyt molempina iltoina pillit pussiin siinä 19.00 - 19.01 UTC. Tuo tarkoittaa sitä, että tv- pörinä on melkoinen kun rivitaloasuntoni molemmin puolin asuu vanhukset (joista toinen jo 94v, mutta nuortuu vaan), joiden ilona tietenkin on ennen unia uutiset. Purinan alta puheen ymmärtäminen vaikeaa, lyhyet musiikkipätkät tulevat läpi kirkkaasti. DX- urani aikana olen kuullut 54 afromaata, joista 44 verifioituna kansiossa. Somalia kuuluu niihin (samoin Guinea-Bissau, Zaire, St. Helena ja Eritrea), joita en koskaan edes raportoinut, vaikka noin 30v sitten Radio Mogadishu kuuluikin hyvin. Sitten on afromaita (Kongo, Päiväntasaajan Guinea, Niger, Sierra Leone), joiden vastausta yritin vuosia kepittää kunnes luovutin. =) Sambiakin puuttuisi. Kun 7 vuotta on mennyt pelkästään FM- kuuntelussa, olen ilokseni kuukauden päivät kokeillut, että mitä ihmettä lyhyillä ja keskipitkillä kuuluisi? Ja ei tämä paikka ole niin häiriötön kuin mitä etukäteen ounastelin, on täälläkin omansa purinat ja kilkuttimet. Unfortunately, cannot read a precision fqy for RQ due to Rebelde, so just calling it ?5025? for now.
